Because to her, nothing is worse than to lose everything in an hour. But maybe, something is worse than that; Loving Malcolm...
View MoreThe designing of the buildings in the city was a sign of richness and great education. Some were built with there own beauty, shaped into different unimaginable shapes and painted colors which in return, satisfied the eyes. Others were simply tall.
Camilla Macdonald had just arrived to Canada from Panama. Despite her being famous and rich, she had never been in Canada and from the first sight after her arrival, she immediately loved the country.
The comeliness of the city satiated her eden-green eyes which, in return, brought a charming smile on her lips.
Some streets she passed by were noisy from industrious people at work and numerous vehicles.
She had entered in one of restaurants in the city but still, she was still looking around the city through the enormous glass window beside her.
Across the restaurant building she was in, there was another blue-painted building, from where some adorable sound of music came. It revived her soul where her forefinger played on a cup of the latte she was ready to gulp, as she keenly followed the rhythm of the music.
Her love for the country was slowly growing second by second.
The job which forced her to travel to Canada, was to feature in an advert. She was to be the face of a new lotion in the market. Being a growing actress, she had appeared in several adverts, on being advertising bathing soaps, hair styles and some kinds of adverts which she was offered back in Panama.
When Camilla received the email form Spark Advertising agency, which offered her the job, she was overwhelmed by joy which she couldn't contain. She had spent almost her life hunting for jobs and receiving one was an achievement.
She sipped her latte, still listening to the music which didn't seem to end. Her eyes kept taking glimpses at the restaurant entrance to see if she was to spot the person who was supposed to pick her.
For the duration that she was to work for Spark Advertising Agencies, there was provision for everything. Accommodation, food, transportation {in case she wanted a tour around the city} and anything important, you name them. So she expected to be picked from the restaurant by a man they had been communicating ever since she was leaving Panama.
Beside the table she occupied, a man couldn't stop taking secret pictures of Camilla. He had seen her in one of movies she had acted. The man was loving her beauty. Camilla was indeed beautiful. Her comely body figure which was adored by her healthy hips which swayed whenever she danced or walked.
Her vegetation- green eyes which were round in shape, shaped by her length eye lashes and her thin trimmed eyebrows. Her bewitching smile, which never faded, always brought beauty to her flimsy pink lips. Her hair which was as dark as a moonless night always fell on her shoulders. It was curled on the edges. And above all, her heart. She had a special heart. A helping heart. A selfless heart.
The cadence from across the road slowed. So did her finger, which kept playing along. Then she noticed the cup was dancing more than the way she was striking her finger on it. Her initial reaction was to awe as her brows flashed upwards, wondering how a cup could dance by itself.
Her eyes snapped upwards to see if the lady who sat on the opposite side had anything to do with it. Probably she was shaking the table. But to her surprise, the lady was widely staring at the cup.
You might think it was a supernatural cup that had powers, but when they noticed even the lady's glass of wine was shaking they realized that something was amiss.
They both jolted from a cracking sound of a plate beside them. That was accompanied by people mumbling things one couldn't make out. Everyone in the room seemed unsettled after noticing the building was quaking.
The glass of the window next to her, which showed the beautiful view of the city; broke. She jumped away from it with a scream escaping her lips. That made everyone to yell then they started running towards the staircase to disappear from the building which was of course about to crumble.
While everyone was escaping to secure their lives, she was looking at two beautiful kids who were crying calling out for their mother. If their mother didn't run and left them, she was probably in the washrooms.
She decided to run and help the kids. The moment she grabbed the two kids by their hands, people who were running through the staircase screamed and started running back inside. She didn't understand their motives until she saw the staircase had crumbled.
"C-come with me." She whispered to the two kids, "don't cry, hold on okay?" She assured them.
The situation was getting worse as people started to jump through the window which had been next to her earlier. But she was quick to think, the only alternative that came to her mind was the kitchen. She knew there could be a back door in the kitchen.
She ran towards the kitchen with her hands holding the kids who were entirely crying.
She was right, the cooks had started using the back door to escape leaving the customers in trouble as the attempted to find how to escape. Camilla was angered by their action, she knew they were supposed to be helping their customers but it was otherwise.
"Hey! Hey! Get them out now!" She called out at young man who seemed confused about what to do. He looked startled since people were crying in pain inside the falling building and on the other hands, he had a chance to get out.
"Please get them out." She begged. "Look, go with him. You will be okay," She whispered to the kids who nodded.
The boy who looked older hesitated when he saw Camilla going back to the building. She bent down and assured him, "don't worry. I will be fine."
"Be careful." The boy whispered, and she just nodded with an assuring smile.
After she saw they had had walked out safely, she decided to go back and call the others to use the back door instead of jumping from a two-storey building while still; they were getting injured.
"Listen..." She called when she arrived. "No! No! No!" She screamed at a man who was urging people to jump. The man was offering assistance, recklessly seeing as people could still could get severely injured.
"Stop! We have a back door. Run, quick! Use the kitchen." She screamed for them to hear.
Some people never heard since they were crying. Suddenly, the man jumped on her where he pushed her and they fell on a cracking floor. Angered by the man and ready to fight, she noticed the man had saved her from a falling roof."Run everyone. Use that door!" She shouted, then turned to the man. "Thank you but now, we have to help them! Else we will die here!"
"Go! Go!" People obliged and they were running as they escaped from the falling rocks.
"Follow them!" He shouted at Camilla who was busy trying to track where she heard a lady crying. "Get out of here!" The man instructed her.
"We have people trapped in there!" Camilla yelled. "Hello!" She called out to hear where the sound came from.
"Help, I can't find m-my kids, " the lady yelled back. It's then that Camilla realized the lady was looking for the two kids who were already out.
"Go ahead. I'll inform the lady that her kids are outside."
"No! I'll go. You get out!" The man insisted, and she decided to do so. "Leave already!"
"Fine, Hurry!" Camilla warned him.
She wasn't ready to leave yet. She wanted to see them out and safe.
"I'll wait for you here. Go get her, watch that!" She yelled when she saw a shelf full of cups and plates falling. He jumped and luckily he escaped. The problem was that it had blocked the way that they were now trapped inside.
"Go get the lady, I'll pave the way!" She shouted as she ran back to lift the shelf.
The man left, and she was left struggling to lift it. That was when she smelt something: Gas. She looked around and noticed the shelf had fell on a gas cylinder which was now leaking.
She shrugged it off since she had to be quick to make the two who were inside, a way to pass. But unluckily, there was a cooking gas which was still burning since the cooks were still preparing the restaurant meals.
She didn't realise the situation was worse until she suddenly heard a huge blast which forcefully tossed her to another corner of the kitchen.
She had lost her consciousness on the fire and severely injured from huge pieces of rocks which were still falling on her. Her bones were cracked, her beauty was melting from the fire and her identity was deliberately disappearing.

Hello❣ Thank you for reading. Please be kind to let me know how the chapter is. ❣
LisaI, Camilla MacDonald was finally on my way home after being dead to my friends and family and everyone who knew me, for two years. Now I was returning home... as a resurrected soul. The harsh reality snatched my identity, wiped off my memories, thanks to the surgery which sent me into a coma for three months, but I regained the memories...fortunately. I could now remember everything. I was not a handmaid. I was an actress, Lia Donald. I was definitely not Melisa; I was Camilla. I wasn't hated. I was loved by many. Maybe not as much, but hope kept me moving. I was from Panama and not Washington, DC. I remembered a lot. I woke up in the middle of the night, having slept for months, and then
Third-person___ __Multiple peek through the door, and no one was showing up. Okay, she was not just expecting anyone, but she thought maybe Ares could show up. She found it useless to wait for him then decided to sit back on the hospital bed. Giving up that someone was to be by her side as she went through the surgery. "Give us the room for a moment, please." Doctor Edwardo, Ares' father, said to his co-doctor, who obeyed him and left. Lisa started rubbing her hands on her thighs, which were sweating from nervousness. Her belly felt cold as she was not yet ready. "You are not ready," Edwardo announced, pulling himself a seat sitting in front of Lisa. "You are not ready." He emphasized again, whic
Lisa"I understand this is your house, but please learn to knock." I gave a whining nasal voice as I pushed my legs off the bed to stand. "Good afternoon to you too." He teased, then his eyes shifted to what I was holding. "What are you hiding?" "I am not hiding." I held up the notebook. "It is for you, by the way." I opened the first page then chortled. "For me? Okay, let me have it." "Hold on, Jeez! Being yours doesn't mean I am giving it without instructions." I shoved my tongue out to the left, signaling him to sit. "It won't take long." "Right. Now, get into it, curiosity is killing me." He sat a few inches away from me then gazed at me. "Alright, Mr impatient man. But before ever
Lisa_____I tried hard to pretend I don't have a heart for my own benefit. Battling to act like my heart was a rock to fit in, in the society. I had buried my heart, for long as I can remember because a wise man once said 'the best way to not get your heartbroken, is to act like you don't have one' But lets at least be factual here, I have a heart — a flesh. And I am broken. I am a human, and I have feelings. It's hard to dissemble here; it's hard being selfless to make others happy. Saying some hurtful things to one's face is heartbreaking, and it's better to keep them hidden, even if they are true. I was in doctor Edwardo's ma
