Giggle

"Ty, what ..." I started, but he shook his head and grabbed my hand.

"No time for questions, you have to come with me!" He gasped and pulled me to my feet with a jerk. I just nodded, but turned back to Milla, whom I hugged for a fraction of a second.

“Seems like something happened. I'll get in touch. "

Then I had already turned my back on her. Ty pulled me into an alley where he pushed me against the wall. He was breathing hard, which is why I didn't say anything and let him take a breath first. I grabbed his chin and lifted his face, whereupon I pulled up the braces expectantly.

“We don't have a lot of time, do we? So, what's up?"

He took another deep breath, then started.

"Nereus ... he ordered me to kidnap you."

I immediately dropped my hands.

"What?" I breathed. I felt dizzy and almost brought me to my knees. All air drained from my lungs. 

"Is, is that true?" I breathed and looked at the man across from me with eyes wide with shock. Ty nodded.

"Unfortunately yes. We really have to hurry before Nereus goes looking for us. We have to tell Zayn and Ezekiel everything later, now there is no time, so what should we do? "

I froze. This is the question he asked me of all people? He was the man with the two faces here.

"II would say ..."

I fell silent, took a deep breath, and sorted my thoughts. Then my old self came out. My face went blank and my voice monotonous.

“Take me prisoner first. As soon as we get up there, I will notify Zayn. Should an opportunity arise, I will try to escape. If that doesn't work, either you or your boss have to help. "

Ty swallowed.

"I guess we don't have any other option," he muttered. Fire formed in his hand, causing my eyebrows to rise. 

"Heavenly fire?" I breathed confused. The corners of his mouth twitched. 

"Hellfire disguised as heavenly fire," he replied and grabbed my shoulder to turn around. Amazingly, the fire didn't hurt me, but closed around my wrists. I tried to pull my arms apart, but it turned out that the fire was being used as a kind of handcuff.

"Not bad," I muttered, looking Ty in the eye. This looked at me apologetically.

"Sorry, but it has to be now," he muttered. I didn't have time to ask what he meant because I was hit on the back of the head. 

I looked down sadly at the woman in my arms. Just knocking her down made me feel guilty, but there was no other way. It had to look like I overwhelmed her. However, I hadn't received anything myself, I would have to change that. After all, Nereus shouldn't be suspicious. After a quarter of an hour I set off with the girl into heaven. It wouldn't be long before she would regain consciousness. There was still a lot to be clarified. When I arrived in heaven, I folded my wings at my back. At the same moment Nyria opened her eyes. I leaned forward a little so only she could hear me.  

“From now on it must look like everything is against your will. So show me what you can do. ", I breathed, whereupon she nodded with a determined look.

"All right," she replied. As soon as we arrived in the building the show began. Nyria started screaming, trying desperately to free herself from my grip. 

"Shut up, woman!" I yelled, whereupon she actually fell silent for a brief moment. Apparently my volume surprised her. 

"Forget it, asshole!" She yelled, grimacing in disgust. I almost laughed. Yes, it was really good. Suddenly a door was thrown open at her screams. 

“What's going on here?” It thundered towards us.

"Shut up!" Yelled Nyria, but as soon as the person across from us stood still, she became still. Nereus looked down at her as if she were a small and insignificant insect. He clutched her hair and yanked her head back, whereupon she let out a hiss and glared at the archangel.

"You caught the bitch, good job Ty," the man thundered. A triumphant twinkle made itself felt in his eyes. Only then did I notice something. Since when, and why, did Nereus use words like bitch? Nyria spat in the archangel's face and I realized that her acting was becoming bitterly serious. From now on she was in mortal danger.   

"What do you want from me? What did I do to you? ”She hissed. Nereus grabbed her chin and lifted her face. 

"You will find out soon enough, my dear," he breathed and turned to me. "In the dungeon with her," he ordered. I nodded and dragged Nyria after me, who had started to struggle against my grip again. When we had left a few corridors behind us, the woman slumped against me. 

"Being that loud is really exhausting.", She mumbled and got up again. I took her to a dungeon and with a heavy heart I locked her there. 

“I'm trying to find out what Nereus is up to. You have to try to get out of here without a key, I'm sorry. ", I explained and looked at her apologetically. She smiled and waved her hand, then I left her alone.

As proud as an archangel could only be, Nereus strutted into the hall, where everyone else was already sitting in their seats.

"He has it!" He announced shortly, to which the reactions could not have been more different. Fare clapped her hands over her mouth, Chest let out a growl. The rest of the archangels didn't quite know how to react. Most of them actually had no problem with the girl.

"What are you going to do now?" Chest growled. Nereus grinned mischievously. 

“First of all we need information. If necessary, we torture them out of her. And then..."

He made a small ball of fire in his hand, which made his grin even wider.

"I don't think you will do that," someone suddenly said. They all turned and stared at Nyria. 

I leaned in the door with my arms crossed. I was able to hide my puffing breath cleverly. With my mental powers, it had been amazingly easy to pick the lock. Nereus growled at me.

"I thought Ty had thrown you in the dungeon?"

The anger was clearly written on his face.

“Oh, he did too. But as you can see, I was able to break free. So then, may I take the liberty of asking what I actually did to be on your death list? ”I hissed and now stepped into the hall. Ty wasn't here, apparently he wanted to let Zayn know. Damn, I hadn't even thought about that anymore. I had been too busy trying to get out of this ugly basement. Hopefully he wasn't worried too much ... I just took a step back before Nereus got hold of me. Damn it, it was quick! 

“You are nothing but a mistake of nature. Just a miserable freak, born of a whore and a traitor! "

The anger that had built up inside of me burst out of me with full force. With all the strength I had, I pushed Nereus away and reached out with my whole arm to slap him on the face.

“I won't let anyone talk to me like that! I've never broken anything, so what's your problem? ”I yelled, causing some angels to jump from their seats. The archangel stared at me in amazement. Apparently he couldn't believe that I had hit him of all people. When I thought about it more closely, I realized that it would have been better not to let go. My hasty act could now be my undoing. Only a few seconds, then he had built up again in front of me. We stared at each other challengingly for what felt like an eternity.

"You and Zayn are going to die whether you like it or not," he announced with a growl. His hand shot out at a rate that I had no chance of reacting. He cupped my throat with his hand, so tightly that he could easily lift me up in the air. I gasped for breath, but concentrated on my abilities. I imagined the fire flowing through my veins, particularly my throat, and scorching Nereus' skin. The control over the fire worked, the archangel let go of me roaring. Burn blisters could be seen in his hand. I landed on the floor with a rumble. Which was extremely tough, as I just discovered. Nereus stared at his hand, completely taken aback.    

"What ... what was that?" He yelled. You could clearly see the curse that was on his tongue, but nobody said anything about it. 

"Who knows. I'm not going to tell you about it. ", I said casually and shrugged my shoulders. During the whole situation I was wondering what was going to happen next. Would Nereus want to kill me now or did he have other plans for me? Damn it, being here now messed up the whole project of Zayn, Ezekiel and me. Perhaps the final battle would take place earlier than planned. I took up my fighting stance and watched the situation. What happened now Suddenly there were four angels around me. As they looked, they didn't seem to be archangels. 

"Woman!" Snapped Nereus at me. "You will tell me on the spot what Ezekiel and Vaher have planned, otherwise you will die!"

I raised my eyebrows at his threat.

“I will definitely not. You will have to beat that out of me. ", I replied and showed a smile, which was immediately returned by Nereus.

"With the greatest pleasure," he growled and snapped his finger, causing the four angels around me to attack. I brought two of them to their knees with my bare thoughts, the other two were struck down by my black fire. Screams of pain went through the hall. I happened to look at Fare, whose eyes had widened. I'm sorry. I thought in their direction. Nereus wanted to take care of me personally when the hall door flew open. A winged man rushed into the hall. It was the man I loved dearly. But something was different than usual. He usually had no wings. They had been torn out of him. Did they ... have grown back? Why didn't he tell me about it? I stared spellbound at its jet black wings, which had a purple sheen. He was with me in a fraction of a second, pulled me into his arms and kissed me passionately. I surrendered to him with a groan. A loud rumble of thunder filled the hall and I knew immediately that it was from Nereus.  

"I'm so glad that you are fine." Zayn whispered and kissed me again. This time tenderly.

"Thanks to my brilliant teacher, I was able to incapacitate four angels and slap an archangel."

I giggled, and Zayn stared at me, perplexed.
