Chapter XIX: Problem

Narrator’s POV

It's been a week, and King Alaric is at his office, reviewing papers because, in three days, there will be a festival held in town. Queen Beatrice also helped King Alaric with the papers as what she said to King Alaric last week that she will help him to make his work lighter and faster.

"I'm so excited about the festival," Queen Beatrice said.

"I hope it will be successful,"

“Can I sing at the festival Alaric?”

“Sure”

“And can we also go to the orphanage and give something to them?”

"Sure. I also like to go there,"

“Alaric, why don’t we held a fireworks display?”

"That's a great idea, Beatrice,"

Queen Beatrice went to the window and observe the town. There are lots of people decorating for the upcoming festival. She is happy seeing them all working together.

Suddenly, Queen Beatrice saw five teenagers destroying the decorations and some stalls for the festival.

“Alaric, come see this. Some brats did something bad,'

King Alaric saw how those teenagers destroyed the decorations for the festival. Butler Livie rushed to King Alaric’s office and informed the incident.

"Your highness,"

“I know Livie. We saw it”

"What are we going to do? We can't just let them go. We have to teach them some lessons," Queen Beatrice said.

“Livie, call some guards and tell them to find and catch those teenagers. When they all find them, bring them to me,"

"Right away your highness,"

King Alaric and Queen Beatrice went back to their work.

Meanwhile, in town, the royal guards are finding the culprits. They asked the people if they see and know the culprits, and they are lucky because some people know them, and they helped the guards in finding them. The guards went to their house and captured them. The royal guards send them to the palace.

"Your highness, the culprits have been captured," Butler Livie said.

"Bring then here,"

The royal guards bring the culprits to King Alaric.

"Thank you for capturing them. You may take your leave,"

The royal guards bowed and left the office.

"Now look what we have here. Why did you destroy the decorations and some stalls for the festival? Do you want to go to prison?"

"Please, your highness. We are sorry. We won't do it again, just don't put us to prison,"

"I have a great idea Alaric. We won't take you to prison, instead, you will have a punishment. You need to be responsible for your actions. As punishment, you need to fix those stalls and make other decorations for the upcoming festival. Make sure that it will be done for two days because the festival is in three days. Do we have a deal?”

"Yes, Queen Beatrice. We will fix it all that we have destroyed. Thank you, your highness,"

"Ok. Make sure to fix it all. I have my eyes on you,"

"Yes, your highness,"

“Ok, Livie will give you some materials and tools. You may leave now,"

The culprits leave the office happily.

"Now that's how you do it,"

"That's a good one Beatrice,"

King Alaric and Queen Beatrice high fived.

The next day, King Alaric and Queen Beatrice are at the office. Queen Beatrice grab binoculars to see if those culprits are doing their punishment. Queen Beatrice smiled because she saw the culprits fixing the stalls and making decorations. They are also watched by some royal guards.

King Alaric sends some of his guards in town to guard the place because he can't let his guard down because maybe there are people who will ruin the festival. He cannot let them ruin the festival because it's a fun and festive event for his country.

"Alaric, come and see this,"

King Alaric went to Queen Beatrice, and he grabbed the binoculars to Queen Beatrice’s hand.

"I see they are doing their punishment,"

“Uhum. And they are doing a great job,"

"I will not let anyone ruin the festival because I want this festival to be successful,"

"I agree with you, Alaric. Now that's my king,"

"You did a great job in punishing those brats, my queen,"

And they laughed together.

That’s a king and queen taking care of their country.
