LOGINMike rushed out of Kara’s house without even waiting for a response from them. The pressure in that house was too much for him to take in. Also, he needed to find out the person responsible for Dina’s situation.
Then a reality check hit him. He has to inform his parent’s about this newly arisen situation. He was unable to decide what he should tell his parents.
“Whatever I say, they would definitely bury me alive for sure this time. It’s all because of this Dina. If only she listened to me and did not run away that day. Ahhhh...” Mike shouted standing right in front of his house holding his head.
He squatted on the floor and looked at his hand. His fingers hesitated to tap on the device on his hand. Several times, it reached the button and then he would move his fingers away.
“Alright, Mike. You can do it. All you have to do is tell them the truth. Then whatever happens to you is all in fate's hand. Just close your eyes and send them a message,” He tried to encourage himself to do the toughest job in his life.
He moved his left hand closer to his right-hand wrist and almost tapped the ‘on’ button. But just before his finger touched the button, he pulled his hands away once again.
“No, no no no no … For Dina’s mistake, why should I suffer? I am not going to inform them.” He shook his head and turned it away.
He then sighed and sent a message to his parents. He decided to come clean as it was better to say it earlier than late. Anyway, the outcome would still be the same for him. He would face the wrath of everyone. And they would grill him until he became a burnt dish.
“Dad, Mom, I think we are in serious trouble. Dina is pregnant,” Mike sent the message and switched off the communicator.
Then he rushed inside the home and shut the door loudly. He thought that if he closes the door sooner, then his parents' cannot enter the house easily. But before he could even lock it, there were sparks behind him. He held his breath and turned around only to be faced with his parents' angry stare.
“What do you mean by that message?” His mother Arantxa inquired while glaring at him.
“Answer her, you pathetic idiot!” His father Benjamin scolded him.
Then Benjamin turned towards Arantxa and complained to her about Mike.
“I told you before, he is incompetent for this job. We should have sent a few more of our people to protect her instead of sending him alone. Look at the way, he is blinking his eyes innocently. I can’t believe he just proved himself to be a complete loser,” Benjamin huffed and mocked him.
“Dad!” Mike shouted and dropped his sorry ass on the couch.
“Mike, I know how you are feeling right now. But sometimes we need to accept that we are not as capable as…” Benjamin tried to console his son which increased Arantxa’s anger.
She pinched Benjamin on his arm to stop him from speaking anymore. He looked at his wife in horror. Arantxa clearly understood that Benjamin was trying to protect Mike by twisting his words in front of her.
“We better leave this place now before your mother burns it along with us inside the house,” Benjamin warned Mike.
“Shall we?” Mike asked.
He even stood up from the sofa in relief. He got so happy that he could escape so easily from his mother’s grasp with his father’s help.
“Shut up you both! Sit wherever you are, Mike,” Arantxa shouted with rage and closed her eyes to control her temper that was blaring out of control.
After a couple of seconds, once she felt slightly calm she opened her eyes. Still, she was left speechless when she saw them busy with the Pie that Benjamin brought along with him for his son.
“Whatever had to happen has already happened. So, let us plan on how we can save her from getting hurt.” Arantxa suggested.
“Yes, mom,” Mike responded but his concentration was on the pie that his father was slicing.
“Yes, dear,” Benjamin replied while cutting the biggest piece for himself.
She looked at the two men disappointedly, who had now started to eat the pie. She understood that they did not take her seriously. As she was left with no other choice, she rolled her eyes and joined them.
“Mom, your cooking is the best. I love this pie. It has been so long I had one of these,” Mike said while stuffing his mouth with a huge chunk of the Pie.
Once he finished eating, Mike slowly said, “I have one more thing to confess. I did not message you a small detail about Dina. Dina’s grandmother is here at Aunt Kara’s house. And I highly doubt that she might have some motive behind her visit.”
“Are you saying that they decided to bring Dina back to their family?” Benjamin asked in awe.
“It looks like that but I am not sure why I keep thinking that something is not quite right here,” Mike said and stood up from the sofa.
“Your doubts are absolutely correct. Because Tina is missing. They are going to get Dina to take over her place in the marriage. Also, about the groom, I don't know why but I am not getting a good feeling about him. Even though he may look like a normal human from the outside, he is not as simple as he shows the outside world. Something about his family makes me get chills,” Benjamin explained to him.
He even shook his body as if he was really shivering from the cold air that blew across him.
“Honey, are you feeling ok? Maybe you are feeling sick and caught a cold or something?” Arantxa asked with a sneer.
As if she was worried about her husband, she checked his forehead for temperature. If one did not notice her mocking tone, they would have believed that she was really concerned about Benjamin’s health.
Mike and Benjamin shivered as they were now sure that they had woken up a sleeping wild beast inside her mother. They gulped and looked at each other.
Arantxa grasped Benjamin's hair and lifted his head. She then held his chin with her other hand and asked,
“Why did you not inform me about Tina? When did she go missing?”
“That… That... Aran, please understand. It was all hasty these past few days and we are still trying to trace her location. We thought we could find her before the marriage ceremony, so I told the team to not inform you yet about this,” Benjamin said while trying to get his head away from his wife’s hand.
“I can’t believe you both. And here you are lecturing Mike, that he did not protect Dina well enough,” Arantxa said and moved her face close to Benjamin.
Benjamin used this opportunity and kissed Arantxa on his lips.
“Eww, Dad! Get a room. I am out of here,” Mike shouted and ran to his room.
Shocked Arantxa, came out of her daze and shouted, “Don’t you dare run away from here, Mike. Stop, stop right over there.”
Before Arantxa could chase after him, Benjamin pulled her back.
“I am sorry, we are sorry. We didn’t know that all this would happen. Everything was going smoothly till now and unexpectedly, both the girl’s life became a mess.” Benjamin said and hugged her.
“Don’t try to act pitiful and try to gain sympathy in front of me,” She said and hit his back.
“Ouch!” Benjamin felt a sharp pain in his back.
He understood that his wife did not hold her power when giving him that smack.
“This is your last chance. If you both cannot solve these issues before Tina’s marriage then I will have to inform the Red Fuchsia family’s head.” Arantxa warned him and left them.
But before leaving she did not forget to give Benjamin his good luck kiss.
“Make sure you get everything sorted out before coming back. I know you can do it. I trust you,” She said and kissed his forehead.
Once Arantxa went back, Mike slowly opened the door and came out of his room. When he climbed down the stairs, he witnessed the horror of his life. His dad, who had always put on a brave front, was bawling his eyes out. His eyes had turned red and he was wiping his snort on the sofa’s armrest.
“Dad, what’s wrong?” Mike inquired and patted his back.
“Your mom, My wife, left us… She left me and went back. What will I do now?” Benjamin asked and hugged Mike tightly.
Then his face became bright and a wide smile spread across his face.
“So when do pubs, bars, and nightclubs open in this world?” Benjamin asked him.
“Dad!” Mike pushed him away and looked at his dad in awe.
“Dad, are you serious?” Mike asked him.
Millie looked at him in surprise.“Why did you not inform me about that earlier?” Millie complained.“I was about to tell you but we were interrupted by…” Mason said.“So were you planning to hide this from us? Your parents? She is our granddaughter too,” Kylie grumbled after hearing his response.“Mom, relax… I will tell you everything but not now,” Mason tried to calm her.“Where is she? Did someone kidnap her or…? What happened? When is she coming home?” Abel, who had walked near them, continuously questioned Mason.“As I said before I will tell you everything later. But for now, our Tina is well and good. She will come back in two days.” Mason informed them while looking at Millie meaningfully. Then Millie understood who he was talking about. Her heart screamed, ‘No no no no no no no no no…’. This is not correct. W
"No, no... I just want to know where my daughter is. Please don't do anything to them," Mason quickly added.“What happened? What did he say?” Millie asked him while holding her thumping chest.“Yes, mom! She was alive when she left the hospital.” Mason replied."What should I do now mom? What should I do? I am excited to meet her," He almost started to jump up and down.As promised, Robert found Dina’s address and messaged him in a couple of hours.“Mom, I must leave now. I will go and bring her back home.” Mason announced and almost ran outside to his car.“Mason, wait! No! I will go. But not now. We have to find Tina first. Anyway, if any of us leave right now, then Grace may start to doubt us. We still haven’t told her about Tina being missing.” Millie reminded him.“But mom…” He hesitated. It took them already long enough to know that his
“Madam, you are awake! Should I wake up the chef and ask him to prepare dinner for you?” The butler asked.“No, I am fine. Where is Mason?” Grace asked him.“Sir left a few hours ago and hasn’t returned yet.” He reported to her.“Ok.” She leaned against the sofa and switched on the TV.Noticing the Butler was still standing next to the side table, without even glancing at him, she ordered,“You can go back now. I will wait here until Mason returns home. Anyway, I had enough sleep already and I am not sleepy anymore.”Butler hesitated for a second and then said, “Ok, Madam. In case, if you need anything, please give me a call. I will come back right away.”Grace didn’t respond to him. The butler waited for a few minutes before turning around to leave. He didn’t know if she knew about Tina being missing. Looking at her calm demeanor, he understood
When Mason reached home, he saw Millie still waiting on the porch. He raced to her with a joy-filled face. Millie was confused as she could not understand why Mason became happy all of a sudden.‘Did he find my granddaughter?’ Millie wondered and looked behind him.But there was no Tina insight. She walked down the stairs hurriedly and searched around.“Mom, Mom… My baby girl is alive. She is fine. She is alive.” He shouted in excitement.Millie rushed near him and asked, “Where is she? What happened? Why did she not come with you?”Still searching for Tina, she ran near the mansion’s gate. Mason stopped her and said, “I don’t know where she is right now. But we can find out soon! All we need to do is hire a private investigator and they will trace her current location.”“What do you mean by that? Did you not find her yet or... what are you even saying? Where is T
"Did someone tamper with the video footage?" Millie asked him."No, Mom! They checked it and everything seems fine." Mason replied while still trying to message the search team members.“Mom, I will go search for her once again. I am unable to sit here and wait for her return,” Mason said after a few seconds of internal struggle and put his phone inside his pocket. He can’t sit at home and worry about Tina until she comes back. He wanted to join the search for her. He can't rest until he finds her. So, he rushed outside the house without waiting for Millie’s response.“Where are you, Tina? Please come back safely to us. If not for us, think about your mother. She would break off,” Millie sighed and looked in the direction of where Grace is.Mason walked on the same path Tina took several hours ago. He remembered when he brought Tina to the beach for the first time. She was excited about her legs sinking into the
Once Otis got Grace’s full permission, he lifted the magical knife and drew a straight line on her right-hand thumb. The metallic red blood dripped all over the frame while the letters written on the board absorbed it instantly. It shined for a second before the blood marks disappeared completely from the frame.Grace closed her eyes as the pain was not as mild as she expected. She actually felt like she was undergoing surgery without anesthesia. She didn’t know that a small cut could give her such intense pain.“Do not worry, mother-in-law. The pain will be gone in a minute.” Adrian said with a triumph smile.‘Your days are outnumbered, my dear bride. You are coming for me and I am waiting here with your mother’s support,’ His smile widened and his eyes sparkled. When Grace opened her eyes and realized she had disclosed her weakness in front of him, she felt humiliated. Still, as he said, the pain did disappear w
