CHAPTER - 7 Dina escapes from Mike

"Yes, we have seen this girl who wore this cap. She walked towards the east side of this street. Maybe she might have taken a cab by now, who knows. But you can try your luck by going this way, as this is a shortcut to reach the place where you can get easy access to taxis." The security guard pointed his finger towards a dark alley.

Mike looked at the dark alley and gulped. He had always feared the dark alleys the most. And to be so true, it was all because of Dina's horror stories that he used to hear every time they pass any isolated dark place. 

She would immediately point her finger randomly at the dark corner with shivering hands. Then she would mention that some horrific-looking ghost was sitting over there while munching on a bloodied leg. 

In her stories, she would also say that those ghosts were either weeping or dancing or whatever that she saw or imagined at that moment. He shook his body once to get rid of those thoughts from his mind. Once his head was cleared of those horrible images, he looked at the security guard.

"No, I will take the straight route. Thank you," He said to them.

Then he almost ran towards the direction that Dina went as per the security guards. But if only he took the dark alley or even focused a little bit to look that way, he would have noticed her squatting on the ground, just ten feet inside the lane.

"So, tell me what happened? I am really in a good mood today, as I have finally got rid of the guy who was chasing me every day." Dina asked while looking at a gray figure that was squatting on the ground next to her.

"I used to work in this bar as a bartender and I fell in love…" The ghost described the story before her death.

"Love? Why did you treat yourself so badly before you died? Is that why you are still roaming around here?" Dina inquired with disdain clearly visible in her eyes.

"No!! But what can I do? The guy I used to love comes to this bar often compared to other places. So I could only stay here to watch him from afar, whenever he visits the bar." The gray shadow explained to her.

"Why don't you follow him all the time, then? Why do you have to wait for him until he comes here? If you haunt him wherever he goes, then you can always be with him." Dina suggested to the ghost.

"Is it OK to do that? Won't the grim reaper take me away if I attach myself to him? I heard that they are strict in this region especially it’s a crime zone. Not many good people die here. So they have set lots of rules especially for this area." The poor ghost said while shivering in fright.

She had seen several other ghosts who were caught by the grim reaper. They suffered a terrible fate and she did not want to become one of them. At that same time, this was the only thing she liked to do after she turned into a ghost.

"Who is that grim reaper, who has the guts to take you away? Ask him to come to me, I will bite him and then I will teach him a lesson. You don’t have to worry about that.”Dina showed her pure white teeth and made chomping noises.

Then she said,

“Moreover, didn’t you say it’s a crime zone? So won’t those bad ghosts hurt you and take away your energy for their use. It’s not safe for you to stay here. So listen to my advice, and go chase your love. If you want I can tell you a trick to avoid being visible to the grim reaper," 

She bent near the ghost and whispered some spells into her ears.

“If you follow everything I said now, you won’t be caught easily by anyone. But this will work only for you and you cannot share this secret with anyone else. Do you understand?” Dina asked.

"Since you say so, I am going to trust you. Today when he comes here, I will go and attach myself to him. I will also keep my mouth shut and will never share it with anyone. I promise. And if I break my promise then let the lightning strike me and I may die," 

The ghost declared while forgetting that she was already dead.  The grey shadow flew towards the entrance of the bar and waited for her lover.

Dina stood up and dusted her back to get rid of the mud that got attached to her bottom. She walked forward with a triumphant smile. She felt like she had done something good for her fellow student. 

She thought, ‘We should always be straight forward and achieve what we want. Why should she wait and waste her time in one dark corner? She should be bold and confess her feelings to him. Oh… Thinking about confession, I forgot to tell her to confess. Whatever, let her figure it out by herself.’ 

She walked a little forward with her hands spread out. She touched both sides of the wall. When she saw someone coming her way, she did not lift her hand and she hit the person intentionally. 

“I am sorry,” He said and tried to walk around her.

Even after he apologized for a mistake that he did not do, Dina did not want to let him go with just a sorry. 

“Hey, you! Do you know who I am? Do you know what I did just a few seconds ago? How dare you hit me?” She screamed and pulled his hands.

“I am sorry, I was busy and did not notice you. If you want I can give you money,” He said and tried to remove his hands from her grip to take out his purse.

But she did not let go of his arm and moved closer to him.

“Do you think I am a beggar? Who wants your dirty money? You scumbag!” She whispered near her ears.

Her breathing touched his neck and tickled him. He knows he doesn’t have time to deal with a drunken person right now. So, he tried to push her away from his body. 

The push made Dina angry. She chased behind him and held his right arm. She bit his hand hard and a bloody mark appeared on his skin. For a second, he lost all his senses.

Before he could become normal, she held his other arm and bit him once again.

"This is what you get for cheating that ghost! Do you understand what I am saying? If you ever hurt her again, I will follow you everywhere you go and make your life hell. Mark my words, I am someone who never forgets a handsome face," She declared and tried to look at his face.

“Wait, why are you blurry? Are you drunk?” Dina asked him.

Then she slapped his cheeks to make the face stop moving in front of her. Because of the high content of alcohol that was mixed in her blood, she could not focus on the person before her.

She tried to concentrate on his face but still, she could not get a clear view. So she moved closer to his face. At that time she noticed someone standing next to him.  She talked gibberish while pointing her finger to the white figure that was standing next to him.

“You know! You are a good man. So you got a white figure attached to your body. If you are bad then the white will slowly change to grey and then to dark color. At that time, it would be difficult to even communicate with them. You should listen to me and take care of her properly. Are you listening to me?” She held his collar and asked.

Because of her drunkenness, her fully grown body swayed and touched him in a sexy way. He shivered and his mind was all fuzzy. He wanted to push her away but he did not have any strength left in his body.

The more she came closer, the more willpower, he lost against her. She somehow lifted his hands and held her shoulder. But before he could push her away, she fell on him and suppressed him below her.

Adrian could not believe what was happening to him. What did this sorceress actually do? Why is he reacting so wildly and have no control over his body? This had never happened to him before. Even when he was in a relationship earlier, his body did not react so much and arouse unlike now.

He regretted coming here alone. He should have listened to his uncle and stayed inside the car instead of trying to deal with that guy by himself. But this was his only clue, he got until now to find his lover, who went missing a few years ago.

He had to go meet that person right now. For that, he needs this sorceress help. She had to take away the spell that she cast on him. He highly doubted if she would even listen to him.
