Isere was glad that the new year had come sooner and she was back in school now. She couldn't explain nor describe her feeling when she was left for Osun state that morning.

Ejiro decided to still stay in the school hostel and if Morgan gave her headache, she'd leave the hostel and rent a self contained apartment near school.

Ejiro came two days after Isere resumed, and Isere couldn't be more happy that Ejiro was not leaving.

When Isere had reached Ile Ife four days ago, she dialed Kelvins number but it was unreachable even till now. She knew he had not resumed yet, she was expecting him to resume early.

" Omo this harmattan dey fight with Nigerians o," Ejiro complained as she rubbed her arms with her palms.

(The harmattan is killing me)

"My nose are extremely dried and each time I clean them, i see dried blood," Ejiro told Isere.

"Take heart, God will take control, You are complaining of the weather and you are still wearing shorts and singlet."

"I'm not telling you I'm feeling cold oo, and besides I prefer outfits like this." Ejiro retorted.

Isere stood up from her bed when she saw a text from Kelvin, she mentally squealed, how she had missed him.

He had texted her to meet her up if she was not busy, she immidately texted him that'd she'd meet him, after all it was friday.

She didn't mind clearing all her schedules just to have some time with him, she had suffered a lot during this holiday and she was sure to explore this time around.

Isere changed from her kaftan to a short blue jean skirt that stop just before her knee, a peach flora wrapped top with white canvas Kelvin had bought for her last November. She applied some brown powder to her face and applied lip gloss instead because of this harmattan or she'd have used red lip stick.

She took her small hand bag and walked out of her hostel, Ejiro had gone out to meet a friend who she didn't tell her about and Morgan was yet to resume.

She didn't want Kelvin to pick her up, and he accepted under the condition she came to the location with an Uber he was sending to her now.

Isere came down from the Uber as she reached her destination, she read the name of the place she was at, it was indeed the address Kelvin had sent for her, on a wall; Miccom golf.

She never knew there was a golf course here in Osun state, she thought Lagos had everything.

Fact is Lagos is the dream city, and the largest city in Nigeria, it was well known and more developed than any other states, the richest people resided in Lagos and there was more show hosted in Lagos that any other place. All the famous Artist resided in Lagos too.

But this was something she never expected, she was eager to know what a golf course looked like and what people really did in it.

She dialed Kelvin's number to let him know she was here, after two rings, he picked up.

Not too long after Isere ended the call with Kelvin, he came out. Isere couldn't help but stare. He was dressed in a white pant, white shirt with a white canvas. His beards were neatly trimmed and his hair was neatly cut too; lower than before.

Kelvin smiled revealing his dimple when he saw Isere, he couldn't help but scrutinize her. He had missed her so much, it was as if he was in short air staying away from her for almost three weeks.

He had missed touching her and holding her, he couldn't help but admire how she looked breath taking in a simple outfit.

Isere just wanted to be in his embrace and she did what she didn't expect herself to be able to do, she ran towards him and hugged him, he wrapped his arms around her small frame tightly.

"I missed you," he said with relief. It was as if he was finally complete. He kissed her on her forehead, "Happy new year," he finally told her in person.

She looked at him in the eyes, his eyes were adorable, she could keep looking at it forever, "Happy New year."

Her voice always came out low whenever she spoke to him, she didn't know why. "He kissed her on her cheek catching her off guard. "Come let's go in."

"So you mean you weren't in Ile Ife but in oyo state?" Isere asked Kelvin as he led her into the golf course.

"Yes, we just returned yesterday." He told her. "We?" Isere asked raising her brows.

"Yes," he tells her. "Banji, Jide wunmi and I," he replied.

Isere withdrawed her hand from his as soon as she heard the name Wunmi, he spent the holidays with Wunmi!

Kelvin turned to look at her, "Why did you let go of my hand?" He asked her.

"Nothing, your...your hands were sweaty," she stuttered.

"I don't have sweaty hands," Kelvin looked at his hands observing nothing, he looked at Isere but she wasn't staring at him. Her mood had swinged again, he thought.

"I'm sorry, but is something wrong?" He asked her. "Nothing," she retorted.

"Kate, meet Banji and Jide, you remember them right?" Kelvin introduced. Isere smiled, loving his new nickname for her.

"Yes, hi," she didn't even know the right words to say, she has never been in the midst of men before.

Isere took a closer look at Jide and Banji, Jide was a brown skinned man, he had an oval face, his beards were shaved off and he had no hair, his hair was bald, shining real good under the sun.

Banji was tall too, he was dark as Kelvin and kept an undercut hairstyle like Kelvin too but the tip of his hair were like short dreads, he also had neatly trimmed beards.

They were all dressed in white pants and shirt with white canvas. "Omg! did I miss out on anything?" a feminine voice spoke from behind.

The feminine voice finally revealed it's owner and Isere heart sank, "Katherine right?" Wunmi asked with a cheery voice revealing her pearly white teeth.

Wunmi was a really blessed young lady, she was a tall dark skinned girl with the appropriate features. Wunmi like the others was dressed in a white plaid short skirt and white shirt with a white canvas. She was in a ponytail hairstyle with a white cap on her head.

"Hi," Isere forced a smile unto her face.

"I'm so glad I won't be the only girl anymore with this boys!" Wunmi spoke with an energetic voice placing her arms around Kelvin and Jide's shoulder.

"Segun," Wunmi called Kelvin by his tribal name raising her brows. She gives him a thumps up after staring at Isere.

"Nice one," she smirked before dragging Jide off with her. Isere was lost at the eye contact between Kelvin and Wunmi and why did she call him Segun?!

She stood there awkwardly angry with the fact that wunmi was welcomed by the guys and she was controlling them in doing her bidding. Who was wunmi to them? She thought.

She stood close as she watched them play, she didn't understand the terms and how they played it but Wunmi cheered whenever the ball went far.

Kelvin said something to Jide that made Wunmi pull his ear, but in return Kelvin laughed.

Isere felt out of place, why was she even here she thought. "A penny for your thoughts," Kelvin brought Isere back from her reverie.

"Hi," she forced a smile unto her face, "you don't seem to be enjoying yourself?"

"It's boring and my legs hurts," she told him. His next action had shocked her as she was slept off the floor unto Kelvins arms.

"What are you doing?" She asked him. She only saw this in movies but wasn't expecting it to happen so quick to her in reality.

"I'm helping your legs, wouldn't want them hurting, would I?" He grinned.

He placed her on a chair, bending down to her face level, "How about we ditch this and go get some food?" He asked her.

She smiled, "that's nice," anything to get him away from wunmi.

"Lemme go tell them," he told her as he walked off to where Banji, Jide and wunmi was.

Isere sat down beside Kelvin and Banji as wunmi sat down opposite him with Jide. She didn't expect them to follow Kelvin and her to get food, she wasn't mad that they did but she was mad wunmi did.

"Segun, let me have your chicken, I'm regretting ordering for beef now," Wunmi spoke making Isere rile up inside of her.

"Order for chicken then," he told her making Isere smile within her. Wunmi looked at Jide's plate and saw he had ordered for pork meat and she hated pork meat.

"Lemme have a bite then," she began to bat her brows trying to do the puppy dog eyes.

Isere had chicken on her plate, so she gave her own to wunmi instead, she preferred wunmi ate hers and not Kelvin's.

"Aww...thank you," Wunmi told her. Kelvin looked at Isere's plate before dropping his chicken on her plate making wunmi's jaw drop.

"Omo Lebi wa, kin sebi wa," Wunmi sang out making Jide, Kelvin and Banji laugh except Isere.

( I am family afterall and she's not)

Isere didn't understand Yoruba and she was wishing Ejiro was here to help her out.

Isere suddenly lost her appetite as she returned Kelvins chicken back to his plate. "I don't want it, I'm filled up," she told him.

"I'm not taking it back," he returned it to back to her.

Isere didn't want to make a scene so she divided the chicken, "I'd eat half and you'd eat half too.

Both her and Kelvin had divided the chicken and had eaten it, Isere was conscious of how she ate as she chewed on every portion slowly.

The side of her mouth were stained with oil, instead of Kelvin to have told her or use the serviette to wipe them off, he used his thumb making her freeze and her heart race at his hand contact with her skin.

He licked his thump earning an 'ooou' sound from the guys and giggle from wunmi which made Isere pissed.

Were they mocking her? She thought.

Kelvin leaned close to her ear and whispered, "you look amazingly beautiful today!"
