Chapter 21~ Distance

After they finished having lunch, Kelvin invited Isere to his house to chill with the rest of the guys; she didn't want to go at first but with the thought of Wunmi going there along with them made her accept the offer.

She felt out of place, while they laughed and talked and chatted about random stuffs too.

She didn't know what to say, they were all close and she sat down silently on the couch listening to them. She was angry, she wasn't expecting her first meet with Kelvin this year to be this way but Kelvin was enjoying himself.

"Hmm," Kelvin cleared his throat trying to get Isere attention, he noticed she was quiet and didn't feel too comfortable.

Maybe it was because of the guys, he thought to himself. He knew Isere has never hanged out with so many guys before and this would probably be her first  time.

He leaned in and whispered into her ear, "what's wrong?" He asked her, his close proximity sent shivers down her spine.

She shook her head, "I'm fine," she whispered.

"Wanna talk alone privately?" He asked her. Isere lit up hearing his word, She nodded her head.

Kelvin got on his feet, taking Isere's hand and leading her towards his balcony. As soon as he opened the door, the harmattan breeze hugged her skin sending goosebumps on them.

She didn't know he had a balcony and it was a sight to see, "wow!" Isere mutterred. "I didn't know you had a  beautiful view like this?" She spoke staring at the beautiful sight in front of her.

Kelvin watched Isere in awe, how can someone be this beautiful, her side beauty was one to die for. He licked his lips as he stared at her flawless skin and tempting lips.

He would go crazy if he doesn't claim down now. Isere turned to look at him smiling, "what did you really do while in oyo state?" She asked.

"Nothing much, just touring around with my friends as usual." He shrugged it off.

"I'm envious, you know?" She sighed after some seconds. "I can't even leave my house talkless of moving to another state," she pouted.

Kelvin watched her as she kept talking, telling him of her childhood and how she felt she was in a prison.

His eyes suddenly drifted to her lucious lips making him want to touch them with his lips.

Kelvin hissed mentally, she was driving him insane and he was about to kiss her and she wasn't helping his craving

"Where next would you go to when you we are on holiday again?" She asked him sucking on her bottom lips. She didn't know what she was doing to Kelvin while biting and sucking on her lips.

Kelvin could feel his pants tightening from just looking at her, she looked innocent but was seductress without trying.

One, Kelvin began to count but she wasn't making an attempt to take her bottom lips out.

"I don't know for now," he shrugged.

Two, she licked her bottom lips,  this time around he was going to do it. He leaned forward to claim her lips.

"Segun!" Wunmi voice had stopped his attempt and he had cursed mentally.

Wunmi came to the balcony staring at Segun and Isere and the awkward moment between them. Something was about to happen and she had interrupted them, she thought.

She smiled cheekily at Kelvin who in turn gave her a scowl, "What do you want?" He asked through gritted teeth.

Wunmi knew Kelvin and when he spoke through gritted teeth, he was angry.

Isere whose heart had beat erractically as Kelvin leaned down and was about to claim her lips, got angry.

She walked out of the scene, her shoulder hitting wunmi but she made no attempt to say sorry. She was damn pissed.

She was starting to despise Wunmi and who the hell was wunmi?! her wish was about to he granted until Wunmi interrupted. His lips were about to claim hers even though it came as shock but Wunmi had interrupted the moment.

She hurridely grabbed her bag from the couch and left for the sorry leaving Banji and Jide shock of her attitude as she had dragged her legs on the floor.

She was about to reach the gate when she heard Kelvin's voice, she refused to listen and made an attempt to leave when Kelvin held her wrist.

Worried expression all over his face, what had he done? He thought. "What's wrong?" He asked her.

She nodded her head as she struggled to get off from his grip, "what is it, tell me?!" He asked once more holding her wrist more firm than before.

"It's nothing! I wanna go home," she spat out. Kelvin let go of her hand, her mood was something he'd never understand and he hated whenever she suddenly got distant.

Was it because he tried to kiss her? Maybe he should have, she wasn't like that, she has never had such experience, he thought to himself.

"Okay..." His reply had shocked Isere as her heart sank, this wasn't the reply she was expecting from him.

Isere was speechless, she didn't know what to say to him, "i will talk...to you later," she whispered wanting to let him know she wasn't angry at him.

Kelvin said nothing; Isere didn't like the fact he said nothing, she didn't expect their first meet this year to be this way and it was all because of Ewawunmi.

She dread that name so much! "Okay," her voice had came out extremely lower than she expected, Kelvin just nodded.

He watched Isere retreating figure and as soon as she went out, he kicked an imaginary ball with annoyance.

Kelvin has been busy that he couldn't visit Isere, he was summoned by his father in the palace that his mother was sick and he was needed.

He could only talk to her but couldn't see her. Isere who was already used to having him around didn't feel too well as she found everything around her boring. Their last meet, had ended bad and that night, she received no call from him.

Her heart sank, she decided to text him the next morning when she got not reply from him but was replied two hours later.

She was really angry at herself, she shouldn't have left, she shouldn't have acted childish as always, and now it had put her situationship with Kelvin at risk. She heaved a sigh thinking of Kelvin, he was affecting her too much and it wasn't a good thing.

"Please excuse me, I want to pass," Ejiro told Morgan who stood at the door blocking her path.

"Am I holding you?" Morgan asked her before she hissed.

"Morgan or whatever your name is, I don't want issues, so I am asking you to kindly leave the way," Ejiro spoke trying to keep her temper at bay.

Isere watched the scene in front of her, she didn't want to take sides as she didn't want to be on Morgan bad side considering if she and Morgan were to fight, Morgan would beat her black and blue.

"Ejiro or whatever you call yourself, I don't want issues too, so you better disappear before you get issues!" Morgan raised her voice.

Ejiro got agitated, it was obvious Morgan wanted to fight her or else she'd have excused her to go out but she didn't do so and she'd definitely not back down if Morgan wanted a fight.

Ejiro pushed her out of the way and was about to pull the door knob when Morgan pulled her back with her hair, making her butt hit the floor.

"Ouch!" Ejiro hissed in pain as the fall was unexpected, before Ejiro could stand up, Morgan bounced on top of her punching and slapping Ejiro. Isere stood from where she was trying to seperate but Morgan was to strong that Morgan had pushed her off.

"Sebi u dey claim port Harcourt girl abi, I go tell you say na for warri I grow!"  ( You claim to be a port Harcourt girl but I'd tell you I grew up in warri)

Morgan shouted hitting her. Isere tried to pull Morgan off but Morgan pushed her again, Ejiro had used that opportunity to push Morgan off her but it was as if Morgan was stronger this time around.

They tossed and turned, each trying to take dominance but none backing out.

The battle was not easy as they both rolled on each other, trying to be on top, Isere tried to seperate but she kept getting pushed every time.

The fight was really tough that Isere got hit close to the lips and Morgan clothes got torn, Ejiro too was almost naked.

The same girls that seperated them the other time, had come into the room to pull them off but not with Ejiro wincing in pain making Isere and the girls concerned.

"My stomach!" Ejiro cried out, Isere rushed to where Ejiro was to see her with blood stains on her shirt.

"Ejiro!" She yelled. Morgan laughed hysterically, "this is just the starting, the next time you try me, you won't even want to try me!" She spat out and walked off the room.

Isere hurried to tend to Ejiro, she lifted Ejiro's clothes up only for see she was scratched with something by Morgan.

"She used...her chain," Ejiro hissed in pain.

"Shit, that girl is more devious than I thought," one of the girls who had seperated them said.

Ejiro cried out again, now she has bruises on her stomach.

"I won't end this year, that girl started this issue and she'd get the best of me!" Ejiro spat out.

"It's fine Ji, thank God it wasn't worse," Isere consoled her.

"Now you see the reason I didn't want to stay in the hostel? She has started this war and i promise to finish it for her!" Ejiro said clenching her first.

She was angry and hurt while Isere consoled her.

"Sorry for your cut lips," Ejiro said to Isere when she noticed Isere has a cut on her lips.

"It's fine!" Isere sighed.
