Chapter 42~ Confused

2020-07-27 03:53:29"What?!" Mrs Williams gasped when she heard what Isere said. Isere must be joking, she thought.
"Are you serious at all Kate?" Mrs Williams asked standing in her feet. She tapped on her head lightly trying to process what she had just heard.
"I am not lieing ma, you could invite my parents here to confirm if you want, but what I just told you is the truth," Isere said to her with confidence.
"You mean..." Mrs Williams trailed off, "You mean your father molested you?" Mrs Williams asked again.
Isere nodded her head, "Your father...your father..." Mrs Williams hiccupped, she paced around the room placing her hand on her jaw.
"Let me call your parents, " Mrs Williams said. She dialled Isere's father's phone number, after two rings, he picked up.
Isere knew not what her father said but all she heard were that of Mrs Williams which were; please visit me in the church now with your wife.
Isere rested her back on the chair as she patiently waited for her parents to come. Mrs Williams sat down opposite her staring at Isere trying to read her but it was hard for her.
Mr and Mrs Osagbai walked majestically into Mrs Williams office, they were both shocked to see Isere seated on the chair making no attempt to greet them as usual.
"Good afternoon pastor Osagbai," Mrs Williams greeted in a scornful manner.
They were both shocked at her words but ignored. They looked at Isere who wasn't making an attempt to stand up from the seat and greet them.
"Isere!" Her mother called her name to get her attention.
Isere showed no sign of concern as she acted as if they were not here.
"Isere is it not you that I'm talking to again?" Her mother raised her voice but Isere made no attempt to speak.
"I am really ashamed of the both of you!" Mrs Williams deadpanned, shocking her both parent.
"What?!" They both chorused.
"You people are the reasons why people believe there are so many fake pastors everywhere!" Mrs Williams shouted.
"How could you? And you preach about our holy father to others hiding your true nature!"
Both Isere's parents looked at each other, they were confused and shocked that Mrs Williams were speaking this way to them.
"Excuse me pastor, what happened?" Isere mother asked.
"You people are wicked, how can you call yourself pastors when you have done the opposite of what you claim to be!" Mrs Williams asked.
Isere's mother turned to look at Isere who showed no readable facial expression on.
"Excuse me pastor Mrs Williams, but what happened?" Isere's father finally spoke with a confused expression written all over his face.
"Take a look at this and tell me your thoughts," Mrs Williams passed the pregnancy test result to Isere's father who collected it with a confused look in his face.
"What is this about?" He asked.
"Read for yourself and maybe the reality will dawn to you, I have called the head pastor and he is on his way, you people are finally exposed." Mrs Williams spat out.
"Exposed?!" Isere's both parents chorused
"Yes! You heard me right!" She spoke.
Isere's father opened the paper, his eyes widened when he saw what was written. "Pregnancy? Who is pregnant?" He asked confused.
Mrs Williams chuckled lightly, "Are you asking me or should I ask you?" Mrs Williams said.
"I am confused, like what is happening here, I don't know what you are talking about?" Isere's father spoke.
"Isere!" Isere's mother called and this time Isere turned to look at her.
"Blood of Jesus! Isere what is happening here and what is with you today?!" Her mother asked baffled by Isere's new attitude.
"That there Mr Osagbai is Isere's pregnancy result!" Mrs Williams spat out.
"What?!" They both chorused.
"Oisanobua rejemime!" Isere's mother shouted. (Lord have mercy)
"It's a lie, this is a lie!" Isere father chanted.
"See for yourself! How could you pastor Osagbai?! How could you sleep with your daughter?!"
Silence!
Silence!
Silence!
Another silence!
"Oisanobua rejemime! I forbid every bad thing in my family in Jesus name!" Isere mother shouted placing her hand on her head.
"You don't have to shout, your husband and you have ruined your daughter's life, she is pregnant and for your husband!" Mrs Williams deadpanned.
"God forbid me commit such act!" Isere father raised his voice making Isere flinch.
"I would never do such. Isere!" He called her name, his voice held an hint of anger in it.
"Isere!" He called her name once more and Isere began to cry.
She knelt in the floor and tapped on the tiled floor with tears. "This is what he does whenever he wants to rape me!" Isere cried out.
"Jesus!" Isere mother yelled.
"Isere you are pregnant?! When?! How?! Who got you pregnant?! Didn't I tell you to stay away from men?!" Her mother shouted panicking as she placed her hand on her head.
Isere cried out more, "You never told me to stay away from daddy! And I stayed away from all men except daddy!" She retorted crying out loud.
"God have mercies on parents like you!" Mrs Williams spat out.
Isere mother turned to look at Isere father, she was shocked and confused, this must be a dream, she thought.
"My husband would do no such, Isere..." She trailed off trying to find the words to use.
"Tell me the truth, are you sure?" She asked.
"Two months ago, he came to visit me in Osun state and took me to an hotel," Isere lamented.
"Shut up! You evil spirit, I bind and cast you from my child's life in Jesus name!" Isere's father yelled.
"Now it's the devil's work for your actions right?" Mrs Williams scoffed.
"You raped your daughter after telling her to stay away from men right?!" Mrs Williams asked.
"Isere, why are you lieing?!" Isere's father asked.
"Daddy please don't beat me anymore," Isere cried out loud and that made her father paranoid.
"I can swear with my life that I have never thought of such nor do such," her father spoke out.
"Oisanobua rejemime! Oisanobua!" Isere mother chanted, praying and clicking her fingers together.
(Lord, Lord have mercy!)"Isere be honest here, have I get touched you in an ill manner way before?" Her father asked with a pleasing voice.
Isere cried out loud, "Please don't beat me sir, please I won't tell anyone," Isere cried out.
"Pastor Osagbai, I am really disappointed. You have always been a good example of so many people in this church but behind the scene you are another thing entirely!"
"Isere after all I have told you, you got pregnant and I'm sure it's definitely not for my husband, Isere you had sex!" Her mother screamed.
"Isere you are no longer a virgin! How many months pregnant are you?" Her mother asked launching at Isere to slap her but Mrs Williams blocked her path.
"She is two months and two weeks pregnant!" Mrs Williams deadpanned.
"I checked if she was a virgin early this year and she was, how come? Who is that man Isere!" Her mother shouted.
"Daddy!" Isere cried out.
"It has happened again, what I prevented so hard, Isere you are lieing, confess! All lier shall go to hell, Isere confess!" Her mother yelled.
"I am not lieing mummy, I am not, i stayed away from all men and i did all you said too." Isere cried out.
"What I prevented from repeating again has happened. Why?!" Isere mother cried out.
"Good afternoon, I was called to be here," a deep baritone voice spoke getting attention of everyone in the room.
It was the head pastor of their parish, Pastor Fredrick.
"Welcome pastor, God bless you." Mrs Williams greeted.

Isere swallowed the lump in her throat when she was asked the question regarding the real father of her child.
