"Heyy girl" just in as Violet squeezes me into a hug that I return back

She takes my hand and leads the way..we walk through the main entrance..the arena is so filled with colourful lights and loud music is blaring in the air..you have to talk at the top of your voice in the ears to be heard.

We go through the stairs and VIP is boldly plastered to the wall. 

 

Priscy must be really fortunate to have such a boo lavish a whole lot for her sake..unfortunately for him, he doesnt know she's involved in some sort of game or mind manipulation. whatever it is.

 

"Renee!!" Priscy shrieks loudly and is running to me obviously...

 

I pick up my pace and we both meet and give each other a very warm embrace.

"Soo...sooon...you'd be plus one" she giggles fully.

"Tell me..how many more hours.." i ask subtly as I switch my phone to wake..

"Ohh...almost four hours...go girll..."as I hold up her fingers and she sways around in her body con dress and black wedged heels.

"Come on..join the others...a few are scattered around i guess"

I can see Drew on a sofa with Violet by his side muttering something in his ears...then she crosses her leg and cups his face..and...what? Licking his ear lobes.. our eyes both lock and I'm very sure he didn't miss my unintentional irritated look.

 I look away to his side...

"pretty" there's Zana grinning as usual...

"Hi.."i sit on the space besides him

"Howdy"

"Fine fine..what about you...never knew you're the party kind" i say and feel embarrassed at how i thought out loud

"Oh no...not really but I'm kind of looking at trying a lot of things..you know i want to blow" he demonstrates with his hand. 

Very funny guy.....everyone is busy drinking..I want to dance but i am some what shy and uncomfortable around these guys..so I just move my shoulders left and right feeling the beats to the music...

A hand hits my soft skinned arm and i look down to see a champagne cup of what i dont know being passed to me. 

 

One thing is sure, it is certainly not soft drink.. or am I the only one that feels the smell of alcohol is choking and burns the swingling thing at the back of the throat then evaporates like smoke .

its not like i cant take alcohol but yeah... I dont drink since i dont like it at that 

"I dont drink.."i tell as my eyes instantly trace to him. Jayy! I gasp "huh..."i shift slightly and feel myself pressed a little to Zana's side

"Heyy"i muster bluntly "you're present!" 

One thing I dont get was how my voice didnt make it obvious that his presence scared me at first..but as God may have it..it came out sharp

"Yep...and long time no see"He chips in

And how's that going to pay my fees or bills..I reply in my mind covering it up with a short forced smile as a reply in reality.

I sharply turn away because i am really not interested in any talk with this guy.

 

I need to quickly get my self busy..or distracted from him

  

I stand up and walk up to the bar ..taking my sit..my eye fixes on the shadow of someone

"Heyy..."a calm voice from....a fairly light skinned guy with little mustache 

"Hey"i reply simply 

"Vodka??" He asks cuely with raised brows

"What..noo..i dont drink"i answer immediately 

"Water is fine by me.."i smile..i would have loved to add -or something light but what's to really trust about this stranger

He nods and orders for a glass of chilled water

Under a second..it had gone down my throat..how refreshing.

"Lewis..."he tells stretching his palm for a hand shake

"Renee..."

"Thats unique.."he states...oh soo whats this one up to..you think i am moved by complements

   

"Thank youu.."i mutter with a smile

"So...you're a friend of Priscy..yea??" I cut him off because i know just why he's here..for my contact which he isnt getting..not in this life or the after to come

  

That reminds me, I truely didnt text nor call the guy of the other day that i met at the sport complex...what's that his name again?

  

We go on with our introduction and getting to know each other...but is backed up with me shoving out some questions or cutting him off since i am really not interested in any form of romanticism show off with this guy.

"And Thats how he shocked and i was on the vn with her...I screamed you're not your physics teacher, dummy!"

  

My chest...this guy is so funny..I literally can feel my tummy clench and tighten..

Just about time..my eyes drift to Drew on the other side of the room...his looking at my side or me..I'm not sure with an irritated scornful look..only the heavens know why..

 

I simply ignore him..that's not my concern..he was enjoying whatever he had with Violet when i arrived after all.

"Heyy babe.." priscy cuts in

Behind her is a tall..oh wait.. 

"jerry" i exclaim obviously excited..

"Renee...how're you??"

"I'm very good..i finally get to meet the diligent Jerry..." and he reaches out to hug me

"Hope you enjoying yourself" as i gently pull out of the hug

"Yea..i am" priscy picks my hand...and drags me to the dance floor

"Show them babe..."this girl is superly excited...

I get carried away and we're soo into the beats...we sway our hips...and laugh out loud...Violet soon joins us and some other girls...then the guys

We form a big circle and we take turns to dance in the middle..

A moment of happiness is really worth it for no just reason...i can feel my soul let loose and my spirit flies high in joy. I can nearly imagine oneday living the life of my dreams. And for sure, i wouldnt chnage it for anything, my past choices, good or bad. Because it brought me to the life i dreamed of.
