LOGINRosemary-
What? I don’t understand. I’m on Lucifer’s side. They could never use me against him. I hated the order and all they have ever stood for. They were more of a liar and a thief then Lucifer. They were the real evil and I saw it firsthand. Lucifer had his Darkside and kept secrets that I will never know, that was true, but the order was supposed to protect and show kindness and be a light to others. Their need for the worlds riches And greed had turn them into the monster they were made to defeat. This war they were raging on lucifers demons and vampires could mean their end and I wanted to see that. No. I was destined to see that, made to see it through.
And by the way Lucifer said I was the weapon against him it hurt and confused me. We had grown close and he even admitted how much he loved me. It took my breath away and I never expected anyone would say that. I was surprised as I too had feelings for him but I couldn’t help but doubt if I could ever love anyone. I wasn’t quite sure if I could handle loving him right now.
I threw on my clothes and needed to go for a walk to clear my head.
I make my way out the door and roamed through the halls. I felt an eerie chill as I pass through the doors. I can hear screams and moans of pain coming from under the castle. Is that where he keeps his demented souls? As I neared the end of the winding hallway, I noticed a balcony. I stepped out to over look the fiery wasteland surrounding. A dreariness overfilled my heart. I started to hear shouting coming from the room below me and began to listen in when I noticed two familiar voices.
Jesiah- “You’re a fucking monster! There were innocent children there! You burned them to the ground!”
Lucifer speaks in a cold voice- “I care not. You wanted this war well welcome to it boy.”
My heart felt crushed. He killed children without a second thought? How could I be so stupid to think he wasn’t evil? He was the devil.
Another voice I didn’t recognize chimes in-
“We will wage war on you for this Lucifer. You killed innocents. We may have corruption in our walls thanks to you but we will end this.”
Lucifer let out a low evil laugh. “How is it you plan to end me when I have your weapon?”
I could hear a chair fall back as Jesiah let out a loud growl. “You’ve corrupted her with lies! I can promise you I will be the wolf to tear out your heart in the end for all you’ve done!!”
I flipped down to the lower balcony careful not to be seen. Lucifer was sitting at the end of a long table across from Jesiah and three other very old looking men all dressed like royals. Lucifer stands looking like a beast with dark eyes and snarled teeth addressing everyone. “Gather your armies! By the next harvest moon we will wage war!! Make it worth my time!” He turned and slammed the door behind him.
The three other men turned and exited through a hallway behind them with Jesiah still standing with his fist clinched in fury. I opened the balcony doors when he turned quickly towards me ready to pounce as he quickly stopped in surprise.
“Take me with you.” I said sounding more desperate than I’d hoped.
“Why should I?” He snapped at me in anger.
“Because I..... I made a mistake. I was blinded by revenge and I was stupid and selfish. I’m sorry.” I looked into his stunning auburn eyes pleading. I felt betrayed by Lucifer. He was evil and in my lust and vulnerability I’d forgotten that. Jesiah was always there for me with no ill intent. I should’ve gone to him when I knew he’d become king and his father was no longer a threat but I thought I could fight the world on my own. I wanted his protection. Not just from the order but from Lucifer. He couldn’t enter Jesiahs territory as it was the few places on earth that were a threat to him. It was forbidden.
I looked down at my hands, holding back my tears...
“Please.” I whispered as a tear fell down my cheek.
I felt his warm arms wrap around me as he lifted me off my feet and carried me through the hall stepping through a portal. I felt a rush through my body when I opened my eyes as he set me on my feet in the grass at the end of what seemed to be a very old graveyard. I could hear a clock chiming at the top of the hill where an old church stoop. A black Rover pulled in just as it began to storm. Jesiah opened the door for me and we both climbed in.
“Drive” Jesiah commanded and we took off. I had no idea where we were or where we might be going. I felt exhausted. A worry began in the back of my mind that Jesiah was taking me to the order to dispose of his unfaithful mate. I wasn’t sure if I could blame him. I didn’t deserve him. Not even as a friend. In all my exhaustion I drifted off.
