TWO.

Charlotte's POV.

   Shock. That's what i felt. Oh this woman is  indeed crazy. Guess i actually took it from her. Nah,  i think my craziness was  totally from my father. Oh yes it is.

"You are kidding right?" I asked her. She gave me a blank expression. And i looked at Aunt Carter.

"Lady Lorraine was my mom's friend and apparently,  her son....., "

"I'm not getting wedded with some guy i don't even know.....,  God,  this is soo funny!!" I said as i laughed.

"We're flying to the palace on Saturday!!" She said. I scoff.

"I'm not going!!" I told her.

"You are,  and that is final." She said.

"All my life,  i didn't expect to grow up,  and get an arranged marriage!!" I exclaimed.

"Well,  with all your atrocities in the past. I think you should at least make up for it!!" She said.

"Make up for being my own person? What have i ever done?" I asked.

"You always did the opposite of what i tell you to do. How about when i banned you from going to the beach,  and you went,  i told you not to go for a  beauty contest,  you did. The time you spray painted my car which made it look like a  disaster. And worse of all.....,  failing in school because i compared you to Betty. And you are a model instead of being the heir to the company!!" She said. I smiled.

"Oh what about the time i put pine cones in your vegetables or screwed the christmas tree?" I asked.

"Charlotte!!"

"Lacey!!"

"Both of you!!"

"Carter!!" We both yell her  name.

"You are  coming on Saturday if you want or not!!!" She said and walked to the door.

"And.....,  release the poor boy!!" She said and left. I scoffed.

"Charlotte....."

"You agreed to this?" I asked Aunt Carter.

"I.....,  i have no choice. You know your mother!!" She said.

"Just leave!!" I said.

"Charlotte....."

"I said leave!!" I said and stormed into my room. I saw Joshua on his phone.

"So...., congratulations?" He asked. I gave him a death glare.

"Jeez,  I'm sorry,  please!!" He said. I grabbed my phone and called my dad.

"Baby..."

"Dad!! Did you know what Mom did?" I asked him as  i went out and took a gulp from the wine glass.

"What did she do now?" He asked.

"She....,  wants me married to some guy i don't even know!!" I cried.

"What? Wait,  why am i just knowing this?" He asked.

"I don't know Dad,  she's  just messed up!!" I said.

"Hey,  don't say that. Even though,  its partially true. I'll call her!!" He said.

"Thanks Dad!!" I said and i sighed.

"Hows your vacation?" I asked him.

"Better. I'm flying back to New york tomorrow though!!" He said.

"Okay....,  can i come pick you?" I asked.

"Sure. See  you then honey. Love you!!" He said.

"I love you too Dad!!"

I walked with full confidence as i got out of my car. I sat and crossed my leg.

"Uhmm....,  Charlotte Gallager?" I heard a voice. I turned as i turned to see a  boy that looked eleven or maybe twelve.

"Hi there!!" I said smiling.

"Hi!!" He waved frantically.

"My twin is a  huge fan,  can i get an autograph?" He asked.

"Awwn. Okay!!" I replied. He gave me a birthday card.

"She's having her birthday?" I asked and he nod.

"Yes. Mom said we will get a huge cake!!" He said.

"Wow!!" I said.

"We'll be eight this year!!" He said. Wow,  he's tall.

"Nice!!" I said as i looked up.

"Where  is she?" I asked him.

"She's arriving from California with Grandma!!" He replied.

"Wait here!!" I said. I went out and saw where they sell roses. Nice. I bought them and went to the boy.

"What's her name?" I asked him.

"Charlotte!!" He replied. I laughed.

"Wow!!" I said.

"Look!!" He said pointing. I saw a girl with a grandma. I smiled.

"Is that her?" I asked him.

"Yes!!" He replied.

"Charles,  oh my God,  is  there where you've been? Oh hi Charlotte....,  wait....,  Charlotte?!?!" The woman asked smiling.

"Good morning to you!!" I said smiling.

"Oh,  my daughter loves you!!" She said. I laughed.

"Well i love my fans!!" I said.

"Mom,  oh I'm so happy I'm back home!!" The girl,  Charlotte said coming.

"Hi Charlotte!!" I said. She looked at me,  her eyes widened and she screamed,  which caused a lot of attention. I bent to reach her height.

"Happy birthday Charlotte!!" I said giving her the rose. She screamed jumping excitedly,  i was  hearing clicks and whoa already.

"Thank You,  Thank you!!" She said.

"I....,  i don't know what to say!!" She said.

"Want a hug?" I asked her. She danced happily and hugged  me.

"Thanks!!" She whispered. I wrapped my hands around her..

"Wishes do come true!!" She said. I smiled and pulled away.

"You should be a  good girl hnn,  pinky promise?" I asked giving her my pinky.

"I promise." She said and locked it. I smiled.

"Your brother should take the credit!!" I told her,  her eyes lit up and looked at her brother.

"Oh Charles. I love you!!" She said and hugged him. He looked shocked but hugged her. I stood up and i looked up to see a lot of people taking pictures,  i looked around and searched the crowd...,  i saw my dad looking straight at me and i smiled. I missed him. I looked at Charlotte.

"Can i please have a selfie?" A girl asked.

"Can i have your autograph?" Another asked.

And just like that,  i had tons of people requesting for things.

After hundreds of autographs and selfies later,  i freed myself and ran to my dad, i hugged him.

"Sorry for keeping you waiting!!" I apologized. A guy in suit and trousers came  to take my dads bags.

"No problem. What can i say? My daughter is a star!!" He said and i smiled. Why can't my mom ever be like my Dad.

"So,  i met Tyler in LA!!" He said.

"Really?" I asked and we entered the car.

"Yeah. He was avoiding me pretty well but i saw his fiancee!!" He told me.

"Jerk!!" I said. He smiled and pulled me closer.

"I'm sure you'll see someone who like you more than you even do!!" He said.

"I hope!!"

"What do you mean you can?" My dad asked.

"She's my daughter!!" Mom said.

"She is  also my daughter!!" Dad said.

"She's getting married to him anyway." She said.

"She doesn't like him. Hell,  she doesn't even know him!!" Dad said.

"She will!! Arranged or not,  if a marriage will work. It will. Take a look at us!!" She said. That was Dad's weakness and Mom knew it.

"My daughter doesn't have to end up like us!!" He said.

"I'm just trying to protect her. He's a  great guy,  and more to it. He's the crowned prince!!"  She said. Right,  I'm marrying because of the title.

"And so?" My dad asked.

"And so he's perfect for  her. You do want grandkids don't you?" She asked him.

"I will. When my daughter is ready!!" He said.

"Actually....."

"Charlotte doesn't want to get married!!" She said. I nod.

"She's right!!" I said. Commitment,  relationship? Hell,  i hate those.

"What?" My dad asked sitting next to me.

"Oh,  the perfect father doesn't even know his daughter's plans!!" She said and crossed her legs.

"Why don't you want to marry?" Dad asked me.

"Cause....." I never had  good models of marriages with happy endings and worse my past relationships didn't work well.

"I want to be single forever!!" I said.

"Nonsense!!" My dad said.

"But dad...." I whined and he looked away.

"Good,  now with that settled, I'll make arrangements!!" She said.

"I'm not marrying him!!" I said. She sighed.

"We'll see about that!!" She said and stood up.

"Bye Caleb!!" She said and walked away. I looked at my dad.

"So Dad,  wanna have a  date?"

He rolled over and i panted breathlessly. I turned and smiled.

"That was fun!!" I said. He  nod.

"Yeah.....,  so....,  birthday presents hnn?" He asked.

"Yeah!!" I replied and moved my naked self to him and hugged him.

"Some said....., it was a drama and that it was all fake love!!" He said.

"Screw them. Do i care? I do ma own thing and if they hate it, that's their own fucking problem!!" I told him drawing a ring on his chest with my hand.

"And your marriage?" He asked me. I sighed and pulled away.

"Stupid. I'm not going tomorrow!!" I said remembering the conversation i had with my dad yesterday.

"You don't have to do what you don't want to. I'm supporting you with whatever you do!!"

He told me that on our dad and  daughters date yesterday.

"Well,  you should think twice about that. Your mom came to Terry today!!" Joshua said. Terry was the CEO of the agency and i can't believe my Mom.

"The nerve of that....." My bell rang and i sighed. I grabbed Joshua's shirt from the floor and wore it and walked out. I looked at the camera,  perfect!! The person i wanted to see. I buzzed her in and sat on my couch.

"My baby!!" I heard her voice. I turned to see her and she looked somehow pale. I stood up.

"Where have you been?"  I asked her,  she sighed and smiled.

"The hospital!!" She replied.

"Liar,  i heard you went to the company and .....,  wait,  hospital? What happened?" I asked her.

"I've been visiting the hospital for a while now!!" She said and sat on the chair.

"Why? What happened? Is the pneumonia back?" I asked her as i looked at her worriedly. She might be the most horrible mother ever. But she's all i got.

"No actually. Its.....,  lets forget about that!! You were asking me about the company!!" She said.

"No Lacey. What happened?" I asked.

"I'm dying!!"

"What?" I asked as i stood up.

"I know,  i know!! I'm telling you late." She said. I stood up and sat beside her.

"Does Dad knows about this?" I asked her. She scoffed and shaked her head.

"No!!" She replied and i sighed. She brought out some medical report and i looked at it. I frowned in confusion.

"I didn't really do good in school,  i don't understand this!!" I said and gave her back. She smiled and nod.

"I'm sorry,  i just...." She sighed and she looked at me.

"I just want my last wish to be  fulfilled!!" She said. I rolled my eyes and crossed my hands on my shoulders.

"I know you don't want to. I understand. I just want to know how it feels to see my daughter married,  with kids. Charlotte,  i have less that 730 days to live!!" She said. I looked at her.

"If my maths correct,  that's two years!!" I asked her and she nod.

"I know how much you dislike me,  but i know deep down there you care for me. At least,  i carried you for nine months and went through immense pains to deliver you and......"

"Fine Mom!!" I said.

"You'll marry him?" She asked,  her eyes litting up.

"No....,  I'll think about it!!" I said. She smiled and hugged me.

"Nu-uh, i didn't say yes!!" I said.

"Oh,  and does that guy know you are getting married?" She asked.

"Yes!!" I replied.

"Not like I'm getting married!!" I replied sharply.

"Thanks!!" She said and i nod.

"Stay safe!!" I said and she left.

I sighed and sat on the couch. I can't believe my mom is dying. There was something off though. Some part of me wants this to be joke. Two years?! Who will i annoy and intentionally tease. All my life,  I've never done anything she wanted,  I've never listener or obeyed her. I was a pure badass and i didn't care about what she felt. And i felt bad. But on everything, there was a part of me that blamed her. They separated when i was twelve and  she was distant. She went on trips,  holidays,  vacations,  saying she's trying to forget about her husband. It wasn't my fault they broke up. Though i don't still get why they haven't divorced since like twelve years ago!!

"Hey,  you okay?" He asked me. I sighed and nod.

"Yeah!!" I replied him and stood up.

"I uhmm,  i wanna be alone  now!!" I told him.

"I understand!!" He said and hugged me. He  gave me a  kiss on the forehead and walked away.

I went to the wine cellar and i took a  wine glass. Tonight's gonna be....,  wasted.

I woke up,  my head hurts. I sighed and checked my advent calendar. Saturday!! I groaned and went back to bed.

I woke up later,  12pm. I stood up and had a bathe. I brushed my teeth and went to my wardrobe. I wore a black turtle neck crop top,  brown leather skirt that hung tight to me revealing my curves,  this was from my mom.  That woman was blessed,  and i got it from her,  i was hot and that made a perfect shape people dream for. The skirt was a little bit above my knee, and black heels. I packed my hair a high ponytail. I did my nude make up and took my luggages occupying my clothes,  shoes and important equipments. Instead of heading to my moms mansion,  i was running to Miami. I went out and put my luggage in my car. And entered my car and drove  off.

Damn traffic!!  I put my head on the  steering wheel and  groaned. It moved a little and i drove and  stopped. Urgh!! I turned and i saw an advertisement. Mom knows More. I looked at the ad and i saw the woman and the baby. I sighed and turned.

"Fuck. Fuck. Fuck!!!!!" I yelled. What the  hell am i doing? I sighed and groaned. She's a  damn bitch. I punched the steering wheel for multiple times and sighed. The traffic started clearing and i gripped the wheel. Hell!! I turned the car around. This is not where I'm supposed to be!!

I got out of my car and i saw my mom smiling. I went to her.

"You're a bitch!!" I told her.

"Oh i know darling!!" She said. I groaned.

"I....., i will marry the prince!!" I said.

"That's my girl!!" She said and i sighed.
