Chapter six

The same day, I was sited outside the house with Julia, whereas mom was in, doing some work. And Julia fantasies about living in the palace with me, from the huge rooms will each get, to the elaborate balls will attend and host, she kept talking non-stop, as she clarifies to me all she knew and heard about being royalty,  demonstrating the way royals walk.

Hahaha," I laughed at her, glimpsing how silly she looked sauntering like that. Thus asking if I have found a way to get into the party before I could reply, we got halted by a mom that said, we had to act like the palace maids, and find a way to strike.

Wow," Julia altered, praising her for a wonderful idea.

I smirked, thus asking her how we're going to get make them believe we were one of the maids, but she told me, I just had to get prepared and leave the rest to her, as she walks off in hopes of seeing an old friend. 

Julia twirls around, imagining herself, at the ball later too night, and decided to rush home in preparing for it. 

I glared at her, seeing how fast she ran, ensuring me she would be back before the party tonight. 

Finally" I altered to myself but deep down I was a little scared, what if non believes.

Then make them believe" a voice said to me, as I turned back seeing Eldridge grinning at me. 

"What are you doing here," I said sauntering to meet him, where he stood.

Whereas he told me, he just wanted to see how I was fairing, ever since we spoke that day, we haven't gotten the chance to talk.

Yea" I altered constantly shaking my head when he asked if I got the gift he gave to me.

Huh!! What gift, I altered, looking confused, when he told me, that the old man that gifted the moon gem was sent by him.

"I have always been looking "

" Out for you," he said clenching his staff, as he created a fog, showing me all that had happened in the past months.

" OMG," I altered looking surprised, noticing he was the one behind the constant voices in my head, I held my cheeks In the surprise of it. 

"Why didn't you tell me"

I asked, but he said he wanted the right time too, as the day we meet time didn't permit us to talk deeply.

"You are my responsibility"

Eldridge said, placing his hands on my shoulders until I was interrupted by mom calling out to me, 

"Who are you talking too," mom asked looking disturbed when I pointed the direction Eldridge was, and suddenly realized he wasn't there anymore. 

Are you okay" mom asked, glaring at me when I noticed a man standing next to her? 

I walked out to them and asked who he was? thus mom introducing him to me  "Micah denovo " as he is one of the royal cabinet members under the king's protection and also a good friend of her's. 

" Wow," Micah mumbled, walking around me, as he was shocked by the resemblance to my father, With a smile on his face. 

Thank you" I replied back to him, feeling shy, as she glared at me, with so much going through his mind. 

We got inside and mom asked me to go prepare a cup of tea for him, as I walked off.

mom notified him up about the ongoing development, but he suggested that instead of going on as a maid, why don't I go with him as his date. 

Whaaaaaaaat???? I mumbled, when the cup slip from my hands, as I quickly bent over grabbing it.

Great reflexes" he said, when I  walked up to him and putting the coffee at the table. 

With much consideration, mom accepted his offer, giving me her approval. 

Fantastic" he yelled, saying he would be back later in the evening to come to pick me up. 

At the palace

A meeting was held, with all the cabinet members attending, and sir Warwick sited waiting for their arrival. 

The moment they arrived, the meeting started, with all preparing for the festival of lights and the coronation of "prince Liam ", they were five cabinet members and only three agreed for the prince being crowned, which of the cause was the handy work of sir Warwick. And the remaining two declined. But with the majority vote, it was decided the next in line would be Liam. 

Sir Warwick, knew all that happened and was going on in the palace, he would do all he could to make his son takes over the throne. 

It was drawing towards evening, Julia came home, whereas getting ready for the party and I being dressed and ready to go. Micah came home, taking us to the ball. 

Mom and Julia sneaked down to the servant quarters to keep an eye on things, whereas I and Micah 'Shall we dance" Micha said, as he dragged me to close to him? His lips brushes the edge of my ears, while we both danced gazing at each other when suddenly the atmosphere darkened, with everyone frozen, it was like they were a purse in time, and I was the only one, there that  was wasn't affected.

The castle curtains open with a storm brewing in, the lights twitching, I knew something was about to take place when I gave attention to a voice. 

"Told you not to, test me" nailing me to the wall, with the face of Aldridge coming forth.

Argh!! You cannot end what is preordained to happen" I said to him. 

When I heard the next voice that said. 

"She's right you know" thus Aldridge turned noticing his brother standing behind him. 

"Ahh, my lovely brother," he said, peeking happy but yet irritated. 

"Here to save your Pretty little princess" he mumbled, making fun of his brother. 

" Yes," Eldridge admitted, asking his brother to let me go, but still he withheld too, gripping me against the wall with a great force. 

"Ahhh" I screamed aloud, as the pain was unbearable for me. 

"That's the scream of your princess" Aldridge altered, informing his brother how much they all could have achieved together if they got a hold of the crown. 

With Eldridge, yelling that the crown wasn't met for them to keep. 

"But we forged it", Aldridge, said glaring furiously at him when I heard the another voice  

Argh", you just don't understand can you" 

" I have been silent all this while"

" But not anymore," he asserted glaring at his brother. 

Hahaha" *evil laugh* 

"What a family reunion", Aldridge altered, as he frowned and thanked me for pulling them together, although he was still stuck at the spirit realm, as it was only an illusion of him here.

"Welcome brother" Eldridge altered, when his eyes glared at me. 

"You must be the next in line" 

Observing the way my brother kept you, " he said walking up to me.

"Hello, my name is muldridge, he announced.

"Nice meeting you" 

"I would have loved to shake you" 

" But discerning my position, I can't" I replied back to him, thus imploring his brother to let me go. 

No" he blatantly declined. 

Fine then" muldridge said,  as he pointed his staff at me, cracking me free. 

Thank you, I said, when my eyes met with Aldridge

"If I can defeat you once"

" I could do it again," I said to him, dusting up myself. 

" Hmm, she's a fierce one". 

Muldridge said, being impressed by me. 

" But will likely end up like the others", Aldridge let out, shooting a fireball at me, thus Eldridge swooped in shoving it to the side. 

Ahhh", Aldridge yelled so loud, throwing another at me, but this time both brothers swooped, aiming to halt it from attaining my way. 

I ran to the side when I felt harmony with the crown. 

Shhhhhhhh", the crown clamored to me, with the connections growing stronger, I discovered it wasn't at the ballroom, but reckoned it was someplace else.
