MasukCrystal sat in the pack doctor's office. She was having her ultrasound today. Killian was running late again and she kept trying to text him and call him. Ever since the ceremony, he had been different. After all the packs went home and she said farewell to Kellie, things had been different. The doctor appeared in the hall.
"Luna, we are ready for you."
"Thanks, Dr. Browning."
"No Alpha, again?"
"Nope. Let's just get started."
"We can wait. It's no problem."
"No. I've tried calling him and he knew the time."
"Alright."
The doctor gave a look like she knew something. Crystal and Killian had been together for six months. She was happy with him but she just wondered why he was acting weird. She was finishing up and he still wasn't here. She left and headed back to the packhouse when she saw him. He was pacing back and forth and there was a woman standing there with a little boy. The boy didn't look much older than two years old. The woman was pretty and fair and she wondered who she was. Knowing he couldn't see her, she tried to call him again. She watched him pull it out and panic and then put it on silent. She stormed back to the packhouse and packed a bag. She showed up at Mrs. Randall's. Once she told her what happened, she let her in. She was sitting in the room when Killian called her. She answered it just to see what he would say.
"Hey, I'm sorry I missed the appointment. I had work that came up."
"It's okay. Where are you now?"
"Walking into the packhouse. Are you upstairs?"
"No."
"Where are you?"
"Not there."
"Why won't you tell me?"
"Why won't you tell me your work stuff is actually a woman and a two-year-old boy."
"How do you...baby please it's not what you think."
"Then why don't you tell me."
"I messed around before you. The boy is my son."
She hung up. She couldn't believe that he wouldn't tell her that he had a son. She clutched her stomach and wondered about her own baby's future. Would his bastard son and mother think they were to be next for alpha? She had so many questions, but the more she thought about them, the more she hurt. She laid down and closed her eyes. She couldn't take it anymore.
Killian showed up at Mrs. Randall's. If it hadn't been for the fact that he was her alpha, she wouldn't have let him in. He saw Crystal and carried her back to the packhouse. Her cheeks were red and her eyes were puffy from crying. He just hoped she could forgive him, even though he wouldn't forgive him. He should've told her and he doesn't know why he didn't. He knew the hurt she felt wasn't from the fact that he had a son but that he didn't tell her. He began pacing the floor, unsure of the storm to come. How could he face her? He didn't have time to think about it as Jake told him there was trouble at the border from Silver Thunder. He sighed heavily, not wanting to leave her but he knew he had to stop Andrew. He wrote her a note and set it down by the table.
'I hope you can forgive me. I should've told you and I'm sorry I hurt you. We can talk later. Your brother is causing trouble. I'll deal with it.'
He nodded his head to Brandy as she came in to sit with her. When Crystal woke up, she saw Brandy standing at the window looking out. She looked around and saw she was at the packhouse. She only wondered where Killian was. She turned to get off the bed and noticed the note. She began to panic as she read it and Brandy saw her as the explosions went off. Killian was in trouble. Brandy walked over to her and grabbed her hand.
"It's okay, Luna."
"Where is he, Brandy?"
"At the front, with Jake."
Without thinking, she jumped up and headed for the front. Outside, pack members were looking for safety and shelter. As Luna, this was her job. She had everyone head down to the basement where they would be safest. As everyone was coming in, she noticed the woman from before. She stopped her and the woman paled at seeing her.
Crystal took the woman inside and to her office. Brandy was left in charge to see that the pack was safe. The woman, Danielle, and her son Charlie sat in the office. Crystal looked at her and began to question her.
"Who are you?"
"Danielle. One of the first women Killian has ever slept with."
"He's an alpha, address him correctly."
"He's not my alpha."
"I'm the only one who calls him Killian. That's my right as his mate."
"Apologies, Luna."
"What are you doing here?"
"I'm here for his father."
"Which pack are you?"
"Dark Wood."
"No member of Dark Wood is welcome here."
"Because of your brother."
"Don't you have a mate to bother?"
"Yes. He and I aren't like most mates. Not all mates are happy with each other."
"You two didn't reject each other?"
"No. We are mated but we still do our own thing."
"Have you always been like that?"
"Excuse me?"
"Always do your own thing?"
"Why?"
"How do you know Charlie is his."
"How dare you."
Before she could say anything else, Crystal walked to the door and saw the doctor.
"Dr. Browning. A word please."
"Yes, Luna."
"You have the Alpha's DNA on file correct?"
"Yes, Luna."
"I want a test run between our alpha and this boy."
"Of course."
"No. I won't allow it."
"It's either you do this my way or I'll have Killian force you."
"I'll just swab his cheek."
"Fine."
They all walked down to the hospital. Crystal stood next to Danielle and waited for Dr. Browning to finish. About forty minutes later, she walked out and handed Crystal the paper, and left them alone. Crystal read it and shook her head.
"You need to get out and go harass someone else. My mate is not his father."
"I know."
"What?"
"My job was to get you alone and I've done that."
"Who?"
Before she could get an answer, Danielle and her son were gone. Crystal felt a cold chill and turned and saw Andrew at the end of the hall. She wrapped her arms around her stomach. Andrew snickered at the motion.
"No need. I won't hurt your son."
"I don't know if I am having a son."
"You are and he has nothing to fear from me. I wanted to kill you for leaving me, but then I found out about your pup. I need an heir after all."
"My son is the future alpha of Blood Moon Pack."
"No. I will take both of you. He will be alpha of Silver Thunder Pack."
He started walking towards her when they heard a noise come from behind Crystal that made him stop. Crystal turned and saw Brandy walk down. She sighed a breath a relief as Brandy spoke.
"Luna, I saw you were in trouble."
"Good timing, Brandy."
"You need to go, whoever you are."
"I am the Beta female. I'm not going anywhere."
They stared each other down and Andrew started for her. Brandy was almost eye to eye with him and just before he got to her, a hand was at his throat. Andrew saw a bad sight as his feet dangled off the floor. Jake held him in place as he had so much anger coursing through him. He looked right at Andrew.
"You are threatening my mate and my Luna. I'd love to kill you but that honor goes to my alpha."
"Where is your alpha?"
"On his way."
"Too late."
In a blink of an eye, Andrew was gone. Crystal stood paralyzed as Killian came running down the hall. He just stared at them as looked on in shock. She gripped her stomach and wondered about her son's future. He would alpha, but of who? Andrew says he wants him for Silver Thunder. He was to be alpha of Blood Moon. She closed her eyes and prayed to the Moon Goddess that in the end, Killian would win. If Andrew won, her poor son will grow up an abuser and she wouldn't be able to look at him. She knows that Killian will raise him right. Then she stopped and thought, what if she had a girl? A girl would be safe and Killian would let no one ever touch her. Killian came and stood next to her. he reached down and grabbed her hand and they walked silently out. They had too much to talk about. Crystal knew they did, but she couldn't get it out of her head. Andrew swore to come back for her and her son because he wanted him for alpha. She would die before she'd let that happen. Killian knew something was wrong and thought it was him, but he had no clue that she had worse fears than him lying. Things were about to get worse and she hoped that the pack was ready for it.
Destiny felt hopeful about her future after the meeting with Black Heart went so well. She sat in her room on the window seat and looking down into the garden. She saw her mom run out; laughing as she turned around and saw Killian. He was smiling and laughing and nodding his head as he walked up to Crystal. He grabbed her hand she had outstretched to keep him back and he pulled her to him. He wrapped his arms around her and Destiny started to laugh as he started to dance with her. There was no music or anything, they were in their own world. She saw her mother look up at her father with such love in her eyes as they stood there swaying back and forth. Killian pecked kisses all over her face and it made Crystal laugh as they kissed each other passionately and went to sit somewhere in the garden to enjoy each other's company. Destiny realized then that that was what she wanted with Tim. Her parents were the true definition of mates. They were completely different, yet they were perfec
Six months went by faster than Destiny ever remembered as she and Tim talked non-stop since they found out. They sneaked into the tunnels to see each other but even as impulsive as they both were, they were always mindful of Killian's rule. Timothy had no choice, Killian was Alpha King, but Killian was Destiny's father and she chose to follow his rule. She figured if she broke his one request and something so life-changing, what kind of Luna would that make her. She focused more on what her mother said and did and followed her to every meeting. On small things, Crystal even let her make the decision and put an input in.Today was different. Today there was a meeting of the packs. All Alphas and Lunas would be present and those old enough to attend the meetings that would be alpha or luna next. She knew Alex would go but when Crystal told Destiny she would also go, she was shocked."Mom, this a major meeting.""One that involves you. You will be there."
A few years had gone by since Crystal's breakdown. She had been worried for nothing as the lunas absolutely loved her guidance. Crystal was now standing on her balcony and watching her children play. Destiny was six months away from finding out what her wolf was, and Alex was still a few years from it. Alex had grown more mature since learning and understanding that one day he would take over as Alpha King. His mate would take her place. Destiny just hoped to find her mate, she didn't really care if he was an alpha or not. Destiny was the oldest out of the children her friends had, and she would be the first to turn. Crystal and Kellie kept talking about how close Destiny and Timothy had gotten. They were sure they were mates.Alex was stopped by Killian as he walked out, and Crystal watched him as him as they talked. Alex told Destiny bye and followed Killian inside. Alex had been doing his Alpha training a
************Sorry it took so long for his chapter guys. Needed some inspiration.***********In the weeks that followed their crowning, they had a new sense of responsibility and new energy that flowed through them us they were connected to all the wolves. With this new energy, they couldn't keep their hands off of each other and Killian said it was worse than when they first mated while she was in heat. Every chance they got they were all over one another. It didn't even matter where they were. He'd lock his office and shed lock her. If they were in their bedroom, it was game on for them. Their wolves even did it if they were in their form. It was like they couldn't get enough of each other and they couldn't stop. The day it simmered down, she doesn't remember them ever having sex as much as they did. She followed his scent to their room and saw him standing there. He looked like a sculpted god standing there on the balco
Crystal woke up on the morning of the first day of the ball. All her family was still asleep and the rest of the pack was too. She walked outside and took a breath of fresh air. Kellie came over and sat with her on the bench."Good morning, Luna.""Good morning, Luna.""Ready for tonight?""I am but it's a question if the guys are. Killian hates dressing up. I let him get away with wearing his cowboy boots instead of dress shoes. He says if he's going to dress like a monkey, he wants one part of him to be him.""Makes sense. Samuel loves dressing in the suit and tie.""I know that doesn't bother you.""Not at all."Just then, Destiny came walking out and sat next to Crystal."Good morning, darling.""Morning, momma.""Sleep okay?""Yeah."The three of them sat and enjoyed the crisp mountain air as they waited for the men to rise. After about an hour, Crystal walked back inside while Kel
Since the treaty of the packs was signed, it was agreed that once a year, the packs would come together for one grand ball to honor the treaty. There was an old castle up in the mountains that was dedicated for the event. The old couple who lived there were more than willing and happy to host such an event. They were honored their home was chosen and thought it ridiculous that omegas were given to them to help them maintain the castle. The omegas were happy to help and loved living with them. The packs were so numerous and even kids were allowed to attend. Houses were built around the property to accommodate everyone. Each pack had their part of the property to settle on if anyone brought a tent for camping while they were there.Crystal stood and watched everyone pack in the house. Everyone was coming except for the omegas. These next two weeks would be a vacation for them. They enjoyed the time off and thanked the Luna. Crystal walked through the town and saw everyone prepa
