2020-10-16 02:41:42Crystal sat in the garden with Kellie eating lunch the afternoon before the ceremony. Kellie had settled in nicely and loved having the freedom that Blood Moon did.
"It's so beautiful here, Crystal. And so peaceful. I'm glad you found your happiness, Crystal."
"This can be your happiness, too."
"I rejected my mate."
"That doesn't mean you can't be happy. You know you wouldn't have been with him."
"I know, but I'll never have a mate."
"That doesn't mean you can't find love."
"That's true."
"Plus, who's to say you don't have a second chance mate."
"Always hopeful, Crystal."
"I have to be."
Just then, Brandy walked over to them.
"Pardon the intrusion, Luna."
"Speak freely, Brandy. You know better."
"I'm sorry, Crystal. The Sea Cave Pack is here."
"Killian?"
"Still dealing with the Drak Woods Pack."
"Very well. Will you two accompany me?"
"Of course."
"Jake would have my head. After all, I am your Beta Female."
She laughed and the three of them walked over to greet the Sea Cave Pack. They were a peaceful bunch of wolves that lived on the coast. Their peace was well known but they were also known as tough fighters if need be. The alpha, Samuel, had been rejected by his mate and lived secluded with his pack. No one of their pack minded due to it being peaceful living. Crystal walked over to Samuel, who she had met before when she first came here.
"Luna, look at how you glow."
"Sam, it's so wonderful to you again. How were your travels?"
"Very fair. Thank you, Luna."
"You remember, Beta female, Brandy."
"Of course. My dear."
"And this is a friend of mine. She also escaped Silver Thunder. This is Kellie."
As soon as their eyes met, Crystal knew. They both had a second chance mate and it was each other. Samuel walked over to her and took her hand. He brought it to his lips and smiled.
"I am Samuel Laves. Alpha of the Sea Cave Pack. Pleased to meet you."
"I'm Kellie Shedford. Currently associated with no pack. I'm currently being sheltered by my friend, Luna Crystal of the Blood Moon Pack."
"Kellie, this might sound weird but I was rejected by my mate and now I'm sure the Moon Goddess has given me a second chance."
"I rejected my mate. He was the alpha of the Silver Thunder Pack."
"Do you accept me, Kellie, as your mate?"
"I do."
They turned to Crystal who told them to go and she would get his pack settled. She was beyond happy for her friend and for Sam. Crystal and Brandy were heading back to the packhouse when they ran into Killian. He looked upset and Brandy left them to themselves. Killian took her hand and led her around back.
"Killian, what is going on?"
"It's Dark Woods."
"What happened?"
"They are siding with your brother."
"What?"
"I've already gotten rid of them. But we need more packs."
"Sea Cave Pack is with us."
"How did you manage that. Sea Cave doesn't get into conflict."
"Apparently Kellie and Samuel have second chance mates."
"You're kidding? Each other?"
"Yes. So we have Sea Cave."
"Good. That should help. Other packs are coming in as well."
"Killian, it'll be okay. Let's just get through tomorrow."
"One day at a time."
"And if I am in danger, I can always travel to Glacier Pack."
"That's true."
By the next morning, there was a total of fifteen packs. All in alliance with them. Killian stayed with Crystal and they mingled with all the other packs. Kellie was over the moon happy and she was going to go home with Samuel. Kellie was going to be a member of Sea Cave. Everyone got set up for the ceremony that was taking place tonight. Crystal knew it was to be an event and knew Andrew would try and crash the party. Killian stood by her side and watched the preparations come to an end. As night fell, the town square was filled with fifteen different packs. She was overwhelmed with the crowd but Killian took her hand and reassured her.
The ceremony started and Killian started the introductions. He welcomed each pack, congratulated everyone that found their mates due to this gathering. There were happy faces in the crowd and everyone seem to enjoy this large gathering and he wondered why something like this had not been done before. Crystal stood in front of him and he smiled down at her as he called her up next to him. She walked up and stood next to him, looking elegant. She wore a gown of sparkling purple and her hair was curled into a crown on her head. She looked like a perfect vision and she was all his. The ceremony continued with Killian reciting the words to her.
"Crystal Johnston, due you swear to uphold the traditions of Blood Moon Pack. To serve as Luna and respect your pack from this day forth until your last day."
"I swear to do so."
They smiled at each other as they both slit their palm and combined their blood. All at once, Crystal could hear the pack in her head as the Luna ceremony came to an end. They all welcomed her and the party started. Packs mingled with each other and no one started a fight. Everyone was getting along just fine as the night progressed. Newly mated pairs dismissed themselves early and Killian couldn't be happier with the progress. Not only did her Luna ceremony go well, but the packs were getting along with each other.
Killian found Crystal with Mrs. Randall. Since finding out about the baby, Mrs. Randall had doted more on her than before; always making sure she ate. He walked up to her and put his arms around her waist.
"Luna."
"Alpha."
"How are you feeling, my love."
"I'm alright, baby. I'm feeling just fine."
"All the excitement isn't getting to you?"
"No. I'm okay. If I get tired, you'll be the first to know."
"I'm not leaving your side, Luna. You are too important to me. The night isn't over yet."
"It could, my alpha."
"I like where your head is at, my luna."
"You know, Killian, out of all the things Mrs. Randall makes, she doesn't have pretzels."
"I think I can help with that. Need some assistance from Jesus, though."
"I think that can be arranged."
They laughed as they said their goodnights to everyone and headed back to the packhouse together. She was excited to be back and spend time with Killian after everything today. He had a wicked smile as he shut the door.

Six months went by faster than Destiny ever remembered as she and Tim talked non-stop since they found out. They sneaked into the tunnels to see each other but even as impulsive as they both were, they were always mindful of Killian's rule. Since the treaty of the packs was signed, it was agreed that once a year, the packs would come together for one grand ball to honor the treaty. There was an old castle up in the mountains that was dedicated for the event. The old couple who lived there were more than willing and happy to host such an event. They were honored their home was chosen and thought it ridiculous that omegas were given to them to help them maintain the castle. The omegas were happy to help and loved living with them.
