9.A Secured Luna

2020-10-15 01:21:53Crystal couldn't even go outside without feeling like she was being watched. She knew Andrew couldn't cross into her pack lands but his threat was fresh on her mind. She sat in the library huddled in the corner, too afraid to leave the maze of shelves. She sat up against the wall and felt the panic creeping up on her. She closed her eyes and began whispering that it wasn't real and she was safe. Andrew couldn't touch her anymore. Her breathing became heavier and she began to rock as the memories swarmed in and threatened to snuff her out. When she thought she couldn't handle it anymore, she smelt the rain and cedar scent. She began to relax as the scent got stronger and she knew he was getting closer to her. When she had the strength to open her eyes, he was knelt down in front of her. He had a concerned look on his face and reached out his hand.
"You can't keep doing this, baby."
"I can't help it. I feel safe here when you are gone."
"Which is why all my business will be handled here from now on."
"What?"
"I'm not leaving you. It's obvious that this bothers you more than you will admit. You are stuck with me until I kill him."
She threw herself around him and began to cry. He held her close, ensuring his promise to her. If Andrew or any of them got close to her, he'd kill them himself. He took her upstairs to their room and ran her a hot bath. She was tense and nervous and he wanted to help her relax. Once she was in the water, he sat on the floor next to the tub. He watched her slowly relax and she was almost there until his phone rang. She jumped, causing water to splash unto his lap. He gripped her hand and answered.
"It better be good. Are you sure? Okay, I'll be there as soon as I can."
He stood up and removed his jeans, now needing dry ones. She just looked at him, fear invading every part of her eyes. He knelt down beside her.
"Brandy, Jake's mate, is coming to stay with you. You are going to be okay."
"What was that."
"Aaron. He said there is activity at the northern border."
"The north?"
"Yes. They think it's Glacier Pack."
"No one has ever heard from them."
"They are a pack of only white wolves and elders. They are the wisest. I think they are for you, my love."
"Because I'm a white wolf."
"Yes."
"Babe, I want to say here with you."
"And you will. We don't know what they want. I'm going to go find out, though, okay."
"Be careful, baby."
"I will. I'll let you know what happens."
He kissed her on the forehead and went to change. Brandy came in as Killian was leaving. She sat in the chair in the corner of the room.
"Are you okay, Luna?"
"Just on edge. Everything has me so nervous."
"It's understandable. Your family did some messed up shit to you."
"Yes and now Glacier Pack is here."
"The white wolf elders?"
"Yes."
They talked some more until the water got cold and Brandy helped her out. Brandy was also a seer, so when she touches her, she saw what may make her happy.
"Luna, may I ask you something?"
"Of course."
"When was your last flow?"
"It was... I don't remember."
"Luna, I think you are pregnant."
"What?"
"You are pregnant, Luna."
She just stared and a new sense filled her. She felt protective as her arm went around her waist. She would protect her pup at all costs.
Later that day, she found Killian in the town square with the Alpha of Glacier Pack. She walked up and told Killian she needed a word. Killian just looked at her and looked at the alpha. The alpha spoke up.
"Go, Killian. What she has to say is important. Congratulations, Luna."
"Thank you, Alpha..."
"Thomas."
She nodded her head and pulled Killian aside. He hugged her and asked what was wrong.
"He said it was important. Is everything okay?"
"Brandy said I'm pregnant."
"What?"
"I'm pregnant."
This time, the whole pack heard and cheered for their Luna. Jake came over with Brandy and Alpha Thomas came next to them as well. Thomas extended his hand to her and she took it.
"My dear, I am here because you are one of us but the Moon Goddess says you are to never be part of my pack. You are a Blood Moon but I am to still treat you as a member of Glacier. No matter what happens, the Glacier pack extends hospitality to you and yours. We will always be here for you."
"Thank you, Alpha Thomas."
He nodded his head and celebrations took place. Crystal noticed that at any point that Killian stepped away, three guards and four regular pack members were by her side. She felt so secured now and she knew why. Not only was she their Luna but she was now carrying the future of the pack. The other four packs were informed and invited to her official Luna ceremony. She was nervous but she wasn't afraid anymore. She knew she was well protected. Andrew would have to bring an army in order to get to her and she knew that would never happen.
Two weeks later, days before her Luna ceremony, Aaron, the pack Delta came in with a woman. She knew the woman. Killian was sitting next to her and tensed when Crystal said she was from Silver Thunder.
"Kellie, what are you doing here?"
"I found my mate."
"Should I be happy?"
"No. I rejected him."
"Who?"
"Andrew."
"I'm so sorry."
"I think I have made him worse. His temper flew and I fled."
"You left the pack?"
"Yeah. I should've not long after you did, but my father wouldn't allow me to."
"What changed?"
"Father is dead."
They talked some more and Crystal told Killian how Kellie was the only one who ever showed her any kindness in the pack. Killian offered her shelter and to stay for the Luna ceremony. After that, Crystal could make her an official member of the Blood Moon pack. The ceremony was looking to be interesting as other packs were coming in as well. Crystal just hoped nothing happened, especially because of her pup.

Since the treaty of the packs was signed, it was agreed that once a year, the packs would come together for one grand ball to honor the treaty. There was an old castle up in the mountains that was dedicated for the event. The old couple who lived there were more than willing and happy to host such an event. They were honored their home was chosen and thought it ridiculous that omegas were given to them to help them maintain the castle. The omegas were happy to help and loved living with them.
