2020-11-09 10:36:48I met myself in a lone,narrow,dark path with withered pine and oak trees all around,there's no building in sight just withered trees everywhere.Although the trees have no eyes yet I could feel their gaze on me.I fold my arms to shield myself from the cold of the night but it's of no use anymore as goosebumps were all over my body.I settled to walk the narrow path and see where it'll lead to, maybe I'll find a place to shelter myself.I walked through the path for almost five minutes and fortunately I found a small house in the middle of the forest.I ran as if I'm been chased by a wild bear.I got to the house in no time and I knocked on the door expecting a reply but no one answered.
I pressed the door handle and the door opened widely revealing a deserted house."Hello is anyone here?,hello".I kept shouting waiting for someone to reply the greetings which I know no one will.The door suddenly close and I felt the presence of someone inside the room."Welcome Sarah,I've been expecting you".I turned around to see the owner of the voice and I saw my grandfather standing right in front of me with a wicked smirk on his monstrous face.I ran towards the door in fear and he kept laughing at my foolishness as I keep forcing the door to open,he stretched his hand and I floated in the air.I kept struggling as I floated toward his direction."You can't run away from your destiny child".He said and his voice echoed in the room.He grabbed my neck and started choking me,I tried to scream but I couldn't.I suddenly open my eyes and discovered I've had another nightmare.I was about to stand up when I saw some words inscripted on the wall with blood which says"YOU CAN'T RUN FROM YOUR DESTINY"."This whole thing is becoming so real".I murmured to myself.I looked into the mirror and noticed my face has become swollen and also there's an aftereffect of his fingers exactly where he choked me in the dream.I entered the bathroom to brush my teeth and also rinse my face with water.After that I went back to the mirror to check if the traces of his fingers on my neck is gone but what I saw scared the hell out of me.It was him,he was standing at my back starring at me in the mirror.I looked back but he wasn't there but the mirror kept showing him at my back.I ran out of the room in fear calling my mum but no one was at home.I decided to go into the woods and clear my head and also have some fresh air.I sat down under a tree and before knowing it he was also right here sitting next to me in the woods. * * *Jasmine and her friends wasted no time in reaching Sarah's house.They searched almost everywhere in the house but they couldn't find her.They become scared at first thinking something bad might have happened to her.Gigs suddenly remembered Sarah mentioning in one of their conversations that she loves playing in the woods.He quickly suggested that they should all go and find her in the woods.They were about to leave when Blake drove into the compound.They exchange pleasantries and informed her they couldn't find Sarah in the house.Blake remembered leaving her alone in her room before leaving for the hospital."Where could she be for Christ sake".Blake said panicking."I'm sure she's somewhere in the woods".Gigs replied sounding so sure."Enough talk already.I think we should all go and search for her in the woods".Bryan said moving towards the part of the land covered with thick grove of trees.The rest followed behind him like a sheep being led to slaughter.They searched almost everywhere in the woods shouting her name but they didn't see any sign of her,they were about to give up on the search when Jasmine saw someone lying down lifeless on the ground."Guys I think I've found her".Jasmine shouted bringing everyone to where she's standing."Oh my God what is she doing alone in the woods".Blake said running towards her direction.Blake met her lying down on the ground with her face swollen.She hurriedly carry her daughter and ran out of the woods down to the area where she parked her car while the rest followed behind her.Blake ignites her car engine and she zoomed off in high speed to the hospital with Sarah's friend.Three nurses ran out of the hospital with a stretcher to help Blake as she struggled to lift her daughter out of the car.Sarah was laid on the stretcher with dirt all over her body.Blake kept shouting her name as the nurses pushed the stretcher she's lying on to a special ward in the hospital.Blake pleaded to be allowed entry into the ward but the nurses ignored her.Jasmine's eyes were filled with tears as she watched the nurses pushed Sarah into the special ward.She started shaking as she couldn't hold herself anymore.Gigs removed his Jean jacket and covered Jasmine with it when he noticed she's shaking."You need to calm down Jasmine.I know how you feel,I'm sure she'll be alright".Gigs assured her with his words.Jasmine stared at Gigs with her wet eyes,she's short of words as she doesn't even know what to say or do.She felt like helping her friend but her hands are tied behind her back.She later buried herself into the warm arms of Gigs and she soon slept off. * * *Blake walked out of the hospital to get some fresh air as it's becoming too stuffy for her inside.Sarah's plight is becoming so frustrating for her.The security man he nearly crushed with her car some hours ago came to meet her,when he noticed her change of mood."Is everything ok with you ma'am?".The security man asked."I'm really having a bad day,but I'll be fine".Blake answered with a weak smile."Can you share what's wrong with me?.If you don't mind".The security man said.She was about to narrate what's wrong with her to the security man,when one of the nurses ran to inform her someone is on the phone waiting to speak with her.She immediately follow the nurse back into the building to answer the call."Blake on the line".She said waiting for the caller to reply but no one answered."Hello........who's there".She asked but no one replied her.Blake dropped the call and went to meet the nurse that informed her she's got a call."I thought you said I have a call".Blake said staring at the nurse in surprise."Yeah....the man said he wanted to speak with you".The nurse replied."He said that?".Blake asked."Yes Blake.He said that.Is everything ok?".The nurse asked."I'm not sure it is because there's no caller".Blake answered."There's no caller?.That's weird".The nurse replied in shock.The cell phone started ringing again and the two ladies stared at it,feeling reluctant to pick it.After a while Blake finally told the nurse to pick it and she did."What took you so long to pick my call".Mr Mane shouted."I'm sorry sir,it wasn't intentional".The nurse replied."I want you to inform Blake to show up in my office right away".Mr Mane said and hangs the call."Mr Mane said you should report to his office right away".The nurse informed her."Oh alright......thanks nurse".Blake said as she heads toward her boss's office.
