The math teacher walked in after the gorgeous three made their entrance with girls squealing. They took their seats by the extreme left of the class which belonged to them.

'Good morning Mr Stephen.'

Stephen nodded in response.

'Mr Ndubuisi, Mr Odo. Goodmorning class.'

'Good morning sir.' The class chorused in response.

Stephen brought out his notebook and passed it to his friends.

'It's amazing how you remember your math work when you barely remember anything.' Kingsley snickered and they immediately reproduced his work into their books as their teacher fell into his blissful fantasy, deluding himself that the whole class were in the same realm with him.

Kingsley bit his pen as his eyes met Deborah, she glared at him before turning back to the board. He wondered whether he had ever offended her in his previous life. For all he knew, he was everything every girl wanted. Why was she hard and mean? Why did she hate him? And why on earth was she driving him crazy? His thoughts were interrupted when Helen raised her hand and Stephen who had been relaxed through the class sat forward.

'If y is equal to ax raised to power n then dy over dx is equal to nax raised to power n minus one.'

The class was silent, waiting for the teacher's who adjusted his glasses with a big grin.

'Seems like she's the only student that spent her holiday productively.'

And by productively, he meant reading mathematics. There were  loud grumbles before someone clapped and the rest joined in amazement, when it died off. Mr Ugwu continued.

'And integration?'

'If dy over dx is equal to nax raised to power n minus one then, y is equal to integral of dy over dx which is equal to ax raised to n plus one all over n plus one.' She completed and exhaled, the class fell into silence again but it was short lived.

'ax raised to power n plus one all over n plus one all plus C. Presence of a constant. In differentiation, constant is equal to zero.' Stephen shrugged to the amazement of the class but Hilda picked from him.

'Which she should've known if she wasn't too stupid and over zealous. Your period is over Mr Ugwu.' She completed, flipped her notebook close as Helen's cheeks burnt red.

'Good day class.' Mr Ugwu exhaled at the blunt rudeness but decided to stay out of it.

'Good day sir.'

Helen sat down, feeling embarrassed as classmates hurriedly left for their break, with Christina rushing to the gym and Deborah to God knows where. She packed her books.

'You did well.' A voice complimented behind her, she turned. It was Stephen, she sighed and continued what she was doing.

'Not as well as you.'

'Maybe, we should hang out and study Math together?'

'Really? Is that how boring you envisioned my life to be Mr Stephen? All nerdy and no fun?' Obviously annoyed, that she poured her anger on him.

'Then I didn't envision yours that way. Why would you even want to hang me?'

'Easy, I don't mean any harm. You know, I see so much sadness behind these glasses.' He gently pulled it off, she stretched out her hand and he placed it in.

'I also see sadness behind you damn hoodie but I don't tell you that, do I? Why did you interrupt me? Why have you been staring at me like I stole something that's yours?'

'Because you did and I got eyes only for you.'

She cocked a brow. A naive girl would have been flattered by his words, especially when they were coming from the lips of a gorgeous being.

'Sweet tongue sugar? But you're not the one. It'd be typical of Miracle and I should be flattered,' She paused, like she was actually thinking.

'I'll have to remind you how much of your time you would be wasting. Stop acting like a godddamn knight in shining armor. Don't give me your stupid manual!'

She flung it at him.

'Don't stare at me. Don't freaking compliment me after embarrassing me. Don't even dare come close to me. I hate you and the likes of you, just to clear the air.' She turned and stormed off, leaving him puzzled. She managed to see hurt in his eyes which disappeared.

She just had to set her timer and get better. It was still average to cover hundred meters in a minute. Pulling her Man city jersey over her head, she tied her hair in a bun, wore her wrist watch, did her shoelaces. When she was done, Miracle walk in, also in a Man-city jersey.

What an irony?

They were wearing almost the same thing. He was on his phone with a smooth smile on his face and she could tell that the brain of whomsoever he was talking to was being washed white as snow. She smirked, started her timer and began running. Half into it, she saw him jogging and before she could say Jack Robinson, he tapped her shoulders, grinned and ran past her, finishing in exactly forty seconds.

He shrugged, not sweating a bit as she made it to him few seconds after. She bit her lips at the stupid show off. She had come for a damn practice not to soak in the awesomeness of his stupid skills and talent. She turned to leave but he pulled her back, placing her back against the wall as his hands rubbed her cheek. Her eyes narrowed at the contact, it was not too soft but tender in a way that she was not surprised other girls loved being touched by him. She tried not to feel it and prayed that it did not show in her eyes.

'What!' She retorted but it came out as a weak cough.

'You aren't going to say anything?'

'Like?' She asked, placing her legs between his as her not so flat chest pressed against him. She knew the game, there were different kinds of players but he was the sweet one. There were also different kinds of heartbreakers and she could also be the sweet one. She let her fingertip play with a droplet of sweat on his neck. To her relief, he was capable of sweating. His eyes narrowed dangerously and he lowered his head to her. The upper hand was hers, she let her lips linger from his as she spoke.

'How amazing you are? You already know that. It's no use feeding your ego Mr playboy.'

She brushed past him before his lips could meet hers, hearing him groan, she banged the door behind herself.
