CHAPTER 7

"Master this girl is the culprit", said the guard.

"I'm not...", said Hani and kicked the guard's leg and he winced in pain.

Sunwo looked at her and started revolving around her...."I think you're the real culprit because your cloth has that dung mark".

"Why did you do this?", asked Sunwo by pulling her chin up with his index finger.

"Fun", said Hani.

"Oh really.... Should I have fun with you?", said Sunwo.

"Aish....you can't", said Hani and was going to run away when Sunwo gestured the guard to held her.

Do Yeong came there after taking bath and wearing neat clothes.

"Ahh...this small", mumbled Sunwo closing her nose and then started fanning himself.

"You did this? Why?", asked Yeong.

"Just for fun", said Hani and tried hard to release the guards grip from her hands.

"What should we do with her?", asked the other ladies of house.

"Made her into a Kisaeng", said Sung Tae and put some natural perfume on Do Yeong.

"Not even in your dreams", said Hani and kicked at the guards' legs and going to run away when Sunwo held her tightly.

"She was having fun with us.....luckily it didn't fell over me", said Sunwo while touching her face with his fan.

"She's fierce one....knows how to throw kicks and punches", said Sung Tae.

"Oppa", said Bo Ji.

"You? What are you doing here?", asked Sunwo looking at his sister.

Bo Ji told him to release Hani.

"Go why are you here?", whispered Hani.

"To help you....", said Bo Ji.

"Your sister is friends with this feisty girl", said Sung Tae looking at Sunwo.

"Oppa that was my idea", said Bo Ji...."I mean you always have fun here so...."

"No it's not her idea. She just told me that her oppa doesn't talk to her much so I thought to lesson you...", said Hani while defending Bo Ji and squeezed her hand tightly.

"And you threw dung on...", said Sung Tae.

"I've decided your punishment. You've to serve for a month in this Kisaeng house, no one will touch you, just you've to work", said Sung Tae with an evil smile.

"Who are you to judge my punishment? The one who is being thrown into dung hasn't uttered a single word....I'll do whatever he will say", said Hani looking at Yeong.

"He's our friend so of course this punishm..."

"No need Sung Tae. You just need to work in the cow shed for a week", said Do Yeong while smelling himself..."owwe"

"This is an easy punishm...", said Sung Tae.

"I will do....but where?", asked Hani.

"In the cow shed of this Kisaeng house which is at the end of this village.....you can't run away because your face is known to every one here so don't even think about it", said Do Yeong.

"Fine", said Hani.

Hani turned back holding Bo Ji's hand. They left the house as fast as they could.

Sunwo went near Yeong...."Reese" and spread entire bottle of his one and only exquisite perfume on him.

"Let's go.....I'll take bath from rose water", said Do Yeong and walked out of the house.

"Where were you?", asked father.

"Just strolling the city", said Hani.

"What's this dung?", asked Yoon.

"I was going beside a cow shed when some fell over me", lied Hani.

"Ok....go wash yourself", said her father.

After finishing dinner they rested towards their rooms. Yoon was busy in translating the scripts when her sister came inside his room. Seeing her Yoon put aside his books and papers.

"What happened?"

"Tomorrow is...", murmured Hani.

"Let's go together there. Don't be sad... Mother will be happy seeing us", said Yoon and embraced her in a warm hug.

"Oppa don't ever leave me", said Hani.

"Never", said Yoon.

"Btw father is concerned about your marriage", said Yoon. 

Hani released the hug and after a pause said, "I'm young.... I don't want an arrange marriage".

"Do you like someone in this city?", asked Yoon.

"Nope.... Maybe in future", said Hani and hugged him tightly.

Yoon kissed at her forehead and told her to take rest.

"Put the flowers here", said Yoon to his sister.

Hani put his head on Yoon's shoulder. Yoon patted at his back.

"Today is the result day", said Baek.

"Hm...."

"Why aren't you going?", asked Baek.

"I will....the results will be announced in the noon", said Yoon.

"What happened?", asked Baek.

"Yesterday someone threw a cheat paper towards me. I'm not sure if I could be able to qualify because of that", said Yoon.

"Oh...such instances happen in such exams", said Baek while counting the money.

"But I know I'll qualify", said Yoon and smiled.

"If you get passed then I'll give free lunch to every one who will come here", said Baek.

"You will be in loss", said Yoon.

"For that you've to make into that list", said Baek.

After working till noon Yoon walked out from the restaurant and went towards the grand ground where results were to be displayed. 

"So many candidates", murmured Yoon and searched for his name in the list. He started searching his name in the list but didn't found his name. 

He became happy when he saw name of Do Yeong as first rank holder....."he's surely something but where is he", mumbled Yoon.

"Hey a Sangmin has qualified the exams", shouted a person. Everyone rushed to that place.

"Who is that?", murmured Yoon and started looking but the crowd was huge that he couldn't able to see.

"Hey it's Yoon Shik......Kim Yoon Shik", said the person.

Yoon Shik pushed everyone aside and saw his name on the second list....."his rank was 3rd among all the candidates". A smile appear on his face. 

"You finally made this", said a voice.

Yoon turned towards the voice.

"You forgot me", said the person.

"You've become so tall and handsome", said Yoon and hugged him tightly..."Do Yeong you're first"

"And you're third.....defeated all the candidates", said Do Yeong and warmly hugged Yoon back.

They released after a while and smiled looking at each other.

"I'm also here.....but my friend only sees Yoon", said Sunwo opening his fan.

"I'll give you a treat", said Yoon.

"Really....", said Sunwo with big eyes.

"Yeong because of you I could reach here", said Yoon.

"But you did the hardwork", said Yeong while eating the dumpling.

"How about your sword skills?", asked Sunwo.

"Yes I've practiced and I've improved much", said Yoon.

"We're selected for Sungkyunwan so Yoon you've to leave your place for a year", said Yeong.

"But they will give us leave in mid session", said Yoon.

"Of course....once a month", said Sunwo.

"My sister will be alone then", murmured Yoon.

"Ah your sister...... How is she? She has grown nicely I think", said Yeong.

"I taught her some sword skills and fighting", said Yoon while drinking the rice wine.

"I'm going......I've some work in Kisaeng house", said Sunwo and winked at them. Within seconds he walked out of that restaurant.

"Kisaeng house?"

"He just have talks with girls and ladies there", said Yeong.

"Yoon...Yoon....", called Baek and came running towards him. 

"You you quali...qualified", said Baek with happiness on his face. Yoon put a dumpling in his mouth and told him to chew.

"I told you....the lunch is free today I guess", said Yoon.

"I'm so happy...", said Baek and started shouting that Yoon Shik has qualified the exam.

"Ahjushi I'm going...", said Yoon and got up and walked out with Yeong.

"There was a bet on that", asked Yeong.

"Every one thought I couldn't able to", said Yoon while jumping and walking in the pedestrian.

"Oldie.....oldie....", shouted Yoon inside Jangmi's book store.

"You should call me ahjushi. I'm young you know", said Jangmi.

"Oldie guess what", said Yoon.

"You only qualified the exam and for that congrats. But we put a bet on your being a scholar", said Jangmi.

"Someday I will also become that", said Yoon with a smile.

"I'm happy that a Sangmin like us qualified the exam. My sales are also increasing", said Jangmi and giggled.

"Young master congratulations to you too. As usual you're excellent in every thing", said Jangmi.

"You're polite before the elites. You should treat me also like him", said Yoon.

Both Jangmi and Yoon then laughed. Seeing them Yeong also laughed.
