2020-09-07 01:57:31"Boom!" The sound of thunder roars through the sky, and a bolt of lightning flashes across the sky. Raindrops disturb the quietness of nature, and the fire from inside the cave reflected the shadow of Shing and Li Na as he removed her clothes.
He held her tight in his arms as their bare skin touched each other and gently kissed her on the lips before pushing in.
Li Na moans with heavy breath as she bites her lower lip. Her nail catches into his back, and her body trembles from his movement. Tears flowed down her eyes as she wrapped her leg around his.
"I am sorry to do this to you while you are not in the right state of mind. But if it makes you feel any better, this is my first time too. I will try to be gentle." Shing whispered in her ears as he heartily embraced her and continued moving back and forth as his hands followed the curves of her body.
The rain music got mixed with Li Na moans at every passing second until there was complete silence. The rain had stopped, but the fire continues raging.
Li Na opened her eyes, but the flames from the fire seemed too bright, so she shut them. She then tried to move, but she sensed an intense pain in her waist.
"Ouch." Li Na cried. All of a sudden, her eyes were wide open. Her sight was dim at first, then her eyes adjusted to the light, and she could now see everything clearly. Li Na pressed her hand against something firm yet smooth, and when she looked at where her hand was, her eyes widened in shock.
"What is going on? How did I move from treating him, then having sex with him, and now sleeping next to him naked?" Li Na mumbles in shock. She attempted to wake up, but his hand pulled her closer.
"Don't move. I don't think I can control myself if you keep shaking. After all, the night is cold, and my coat is only enough to cover both of us if we stay together." Shing mumbles.
Li Na looked up at his face, and her sights rested on his red eyes. At a close range, she could indeed see the detail of his beauty. He was handsome from the glimpse of his eyes to the calm expression on his face. His slim yet muscular body with a perfectly symmetrical face made Li Na heart beat faster.
She shifts to the right and rests her head on the cold ground. Two seconds did not pass when Li Na felt Shing's hand over her waist as his fingers pressed gently on her bare stomach. He used his free hands to trace a line on her back.
"Who did this to you?" Shing said as his fingertip followed an old wound mark to her waist.
"Uh?" Li Na answered. At first, Huang could not remember what Shing was talking about, but then his question triggered a memory from Li Na's past.
She remembered that snowy winter day when Xiu Yin accused Li Na of stealing a hairpin. Her room got searched that morning, and although she did not take it, the pin got found among her jewelry. Her father ordered the guard to beat her thirty-lashes on her back.
"I don't remember." Li Na lied. She closed her eyes as the tears rolled down her cheek.
"From how deep the mark is I would say you got flogged with a stick," Shing said as his finger gently caressed Li Na's skin.
"Plus, there are other faded marks which prove that you got whipped not once, but multiple times," Shing stated in a bitter tone.
"Lastly, from the damage caused on your skin, this happened when you were very young." He said as his finger stopped moving.
"Am I right?"
Li Na opens her eyes and turns to face Shing. "Are you a dermatologist? She whispers with a bitter smile.
"A dermatolo... what?" Shing confusingly asked.
'Come on, Huang! You can't be using modern words on ancient people.' Li Na thought with a giggle.
She looked into his eyes and truly believed that the eye was the window to the soul because of how calm and safe she felt when he looked at her.
"I have unfinished business with the people who did this to my body and caused me pain. Do you know any kingdom where business flourishes?"
"The Shu kingdom. Why do you ask?" Shing replied. He still felt confused about her words.
"Nothing!" Li Na answered. She knew this was her fight and her revenge to take, getting others involved or hurt was not part of her plan.
"You don't trust me. But I can promise you that if you return home with me, I will help you with whatever you want and take care of you."
"Thank you, but I don't need your sympathy." Li Na replied. For her, trust was not something she could afford to give others. Although she believed that he was honest, too much had happened to let her guard down.
"What if I tell you that I am falling for you?" Shing said with honesty in his eyes.
"Ha! Love doesn't happen that quick. It must be lust you are experiencing." Li Na replied with a hilarious giggle. She did not believe her remark since she was feeling emotion for him that she had never felt before.
Shing took her hand and rested it on his chest. "Do you feel it beating?" He asked in seriousness, and Li Na nodded her head. "My heart should never beat for anyone. But now it is beating for you. And I don't think it is a coincidence that we met."
Li Na smiled, believing that Shing was kidding. But when she saw the expression on his face, she knew this was real.
"I am not pretty, and my body is not fair. The scars on my skin are numerous to count, and yet you still want me."
"You made my heart beat again. No woman has ever done that, not even my mother."
Li Na felt speechless. 'How cold can your heart be for it not to beat for anyone?' She thought as she gazed at Shing, wondering what kind of mystery he got built of inside.
