Meeting him

The night got gloomier, and the air felt chilly. Li Na inspected her surroundings to find a way out of the woods. If she spent the night in such an inhospitable place, she would have become a dead person for the second time.

"I can believe you live such a disastrous life. Your entire life was miserable, and now that I am in your body, I have become the pathetic one. A top assassin like me with a master's degree in medicine and business has time-traveled into a vulnerable body. Ha, what a twist!" Li Na mumbles in frustration as she walks among the trees.

Halfway into the woods, Li Na felt this uncomfortable sensation. The aphrodisiac effect did not cease in Li Na's body when she died. Therefore, when Huang took over her body, the drug became active again.

Li Na's ardor for sensual satisfaction burns through her body like wildfire. She was getting hotter by the second, and the chilly breeze was not making her situation any better.

Her every step sent a piercing pain tearing through her tissues and bones. Li Na wrapped her hand around her shoulder and shivered. With all of her willpower, she tried to keep it together, but her body felt excessively bruised and exhausted to suppress the tension she was experiencing. Yet Li Na tried her best to keep her body under restraint.

Cold tears ran from her dizzy eyes from the pain, and Li Na's wish she could quit struggling to live and give in to death again for the second time. However, Li Na did not stop and kept advancing further into the woods with only revenge as her motivation.

Her body was at its last might when Li Na saw a glance of hope. A little distance away, there was a cave in the hill with light flickering out of it. The flush of happiness in her eyes could be compared to that of a fire.

Li Na mounted up the last of her energy and ran toward the light until she arrived at the mouth of the cave.

"Who are you?" A harsh yet manly voice asked from inside.

Li Na remained at the dark entrance of the cave and made no further movement to enter. She looked to where the voice came from and observed a handsome and well-built man with long white hair, black eyelashes, and brows, with red eyes holding a dagger in his hand.

Although he seemed wounded, Li Na could tell that he still had a lot of force in him to slay her before she could even make a move.

"I am not a threat but a wounded woman who has nowhere else to go and needs to seek refuge in this cave if you will allow me." She announces in a trembling voice. She could feel her control over the drug failing slowly.

"If you are not a threat like you said, then step into the light and let me see your face!"

Li Na took a few steps forward and stopped when she reached closer to him. There was a minute of silence between them as Li Na focused her gaze directly at him. She could tell that he was a nobleman from his clothes and fair skin.

"You can sit in the next corner and don't come closer to me!" He said before focusing again on the cave entrance.

Li Na could tell that he was hiding away from something or someone or maybe a bunch of people because of the alarm in his eye. She walked past him and took the corner in the west wing of the cave.

Li Na rested her head against the icy wall, and her eyes caught a glance of the wound on his side and the black blood that was spitting out of it. Instantly she knew that the weapon used to stab him had been poison.

Without thinking, Li Na got up from her position and moved closer to him and gently touched the wound, then gazed at the blood on her finger.

"What are you doing? I told you to stay far away from me." He shouted at her.

"Yep, I'm right. You got poisoned with snake venom, and if the wound does not get treated before tomorrow, you will be a dead man. Now, do you want me to stay away from you or help you remove the poison?"

"Are you a doctor?" He asked with a doubtful gaze in his eyes.

"Not really. But I studied medicine. However, I am not obligated to help you, so it is fine by me if you don't trust my ability and choose death." She replied in a sarcastic tone.

"You can help me. But if you do any suspicious activity, I wouldn't hesitate to slay your throat with this blade."

"You are so bossy. Being handsome is not the only thing that counts. A decent attitude also attracts women." Li Na said with a frown as she ripped open his shirt.

His upper body got displayed for her eyes to see, and Li Na could not help herself from lusting at it. With the drugs working in her system, his body looked like a tasty medicine that could cure her.

"My wound is on my side, not on my chest. If you get done devouring my body in your mind, can you focus on my injury, doctor!" He coldly said.

'Though he is annoying, he is also right. He's my patient, and his wound come first, so I should focus on treating him before thinking about sleeping with him.' Li Na thought as she moved her eyes and concentrated on the injury on his side.

"Do you have water?" Li Na harshly asked. He did not speak and handed her a container of water.

Li Na accepted the water and rinsed his cut. She then put her lips over the wound and sucked the poison out, then spit it into the fire.

Huang recognized as a modern-day woman and medical student that sucking poison out of someone was dangerous. However, she is now Li Na and living in ancient times with no herbs around her to use. Therefore, tonight Li Na could only get the poison out of his system and wait for tomorrow to get him to a doctor.

She then took his knife from him and placed it in the fire. When it got heated, she placed it on his injury. He did not scream the entire time the fiery blade rested on his skin. Finally, Li Na got finished and pulled away for him.

"I am done!" She whispered as her eyes got dimmer, and her body felt weaker.

"Thank you. I am Huang Shing. May I know your name?" He said.

"I am Li..." Li Na did not finish her statement and fell to the ground.

Shing rushed toward her and placed his hands on her forehead to monitor her temperature, then he checked her pulse.

Li Na was not self-aware anymore. She had entirely lost control of herself, and she kept mumbling. "Help me! I am hot!" Her eyes could barely open and she was sweating.

Shing noticed how her face turned red and how seductively she was behaving. "She's been drugged with an aphrodisiac and has been suppressing it for too long. If she does not sleep with someone now, her life will be in danger." Shing thought as he held her in his arms.
