Li Na took a last look at her reflection in the water before turning around to face the men. She stared at their horrific expressions and the cuts on their faces and bodies, then scowled.
"Ah, Boss. She is hideous." One of the scoundrels shouted.
"Yes, boss. See all the scars on her face!" The other skinny one said.
"Her face may be deformed, but her body isn't!" Their leader replied with a nauseating smirk on his face.
Li Na gazes at these disgusting and judgmental men with hate in her eye. After staring at the offensive expression they wore on their faces, Li Na spits on the ground.
"How dare you insult my boss, you ugly thing? You should be grateful that my boss still has an interest in you after seeing your disfigured face." A built looking guy yelled.
"My action was not only an insult to your boss but all of you!" Li Na harshly stated.
She throws a spill out of her mouth, and it lands near the feet of the banner leader. He drew his feet back and did not react to her insult.
"How dare you?" One of the bandits screams.
He drew out his sword and ran to Li Na at full speed. However, she did not feel scared or shaking. Li Na stood her ground and waited for him to draw closer to her. When he did, she dodged the strike from his blade, then she grabbed him by the wrist and disconnected the two bones in his joint.
"Ahhh..." He screamed as he fell to the floor in tears.
Li Na did not hesitate. She picked up his sword, and with one swing, sliced his head off his shoulder.
"Who's next?" Li Na cruelly asked.
She held up the sword with blood rolling off it and smiled. The weapon felt light in her hands as she held it tight around the handle. Compared to yesterday, her body felt absolutely filled with energy, and she could not wait to teach these cowards some lessons.
"Ah. Here I am, thinking she's a bunny and then, she turned into a wild cat. I like your energy, girl. I would enjoy ripping you apart like a tiger tearing through his prey." Their leader said with a terrible gaze in his eyes.
"You are no tiger. In my eyes, you are nothing but a filthy rat." Li Na said in a cold tone.
After her statement, the bandit leader exchanged his smile for a frown. He dropped his sword to the ground in arrogance.
"I will rip you apart with my bare hands. You guys stay back, this is my fight!" He screamed.
Li Na giggled at his words, and it made the man even madder. He raced toward her, and with every step he took, the ground shook, and dust floated up from the earth.
Li Na jumped out of the way when he tried to hit her with his fist. She swung the sword at him, but he grabbed it between his palms. Li Na strived to pull it out of his grip with all her might, but the sword got stuck.
At that moment, an idea popped into her mind. She quickly let go of the sword, slid to the ground, clawed her finger into the soil, then splashed the dirt into his eyes to temporarily blind his vision.
"Ahhhhh, my eyes. You filthy thing! I swear, when I get a hold of you, I am going to rip your flesh from your bone with my bare teeth!" He screamed in rage.
He swings his hands to search for her, but Li Na was fast enough to dodge his every move. She moves to his back and smashes him in the spine. He screamed, then turned around. Li Na when in for her next hit, but he grabbed her hand. Without thinking twice, Li Na bit off the flesh from his hand. He freed his gripped off her as blood ran from his wound.
Li Na glances at the other bandits, but none of them seem to have the desire to get involved in their leader fight. They stood still as though they were waiting for their leader's command before they attacked.
"Good, You guys have made my task easier." Li Na thought with an evil grin.
She rushed towards the bandit leader and reached down to the ground for the sword. When he heard her foot sound, he threw his fist in her direction and hit Li Na in the face.
The force from his punch sent Li Na falling to the ground with the sword in her hand. She lay flat on the cold floor with blood rushing from her nose.
"Yeh, yeh!" The men loudly celebrated.
The bandit leader had finally removed the dust from his eyes. He turned around and walked towards Li Na. When the leader reached her, he sat over Li Na and laughed.
"I got you now!" He whispers.
He places his huge hand around Li Na's neck and begins to squeeze the life out of her. However, she did not struggle or cry. Instead, she smiled wildly.
"I got you too." Li Na mumbles.
She did not give him the chance to react. Li Na drew the sword and stabbed him in the stomach.
The cheers ceased as the men stared at their leader's lifeless body falling to the ground.
Li Na stood up and raised her sword, then her lips curved into a devilish smile.
"I will ask again, "Who's next?" She screamed.
The men hesitated to attack her at first. They looked at their assistant commander and waited for his order.
"Everyone, attack all at once!" He yelled.
After his command was released, all the men began to run in unison towards Li Na. She stood still with her eyes closed, took a deep breath, and sighed, then opened her eyes, feeling prepared to slash off heads.
The battle lasted for about an hour. Although Li Na came out victorious at last, she had numerous wounds on her body. She gazes at the bloody ground and twelve dead bodies with satisfaction in her eyes. To Li Na, the pain she felt in her body was worth the blood of her enemies.
A minute later, Li Na searched the bodies for any treasure they may have, and the stuff she found was indisputably expensive.
Since Li Na did not have a bag to store the thing, she took off the leader trouser, put the items in it, and tied it up. Then she left the river and continued on her journey.
