Chapter 6 : The Burden inside her 1.

Early in the morning on Thursday. Pastor Chris was getting ready to leave for church, his phone rang. "Biz...Biz...Biz!" So he took his phone from the table to see who is calling but it was an unknown number, he thought. "Hmmmmm. Who is this?" Then he picked it.

 "Hello, who is on the line?" 

"Good morning, pastor. Mr. Felix on the line." 

"Oh Mr. Felix! How is everything?" Chris asked.

 "Everything is fine." Chris said on the way to the door, then he asked. "So why the surprise call this morning." 

Felix answered. "Pastor. Are you going to be around tomorrow night. Around 8?" Chris opened his door. "Yeah hope No problem. Mr. Felix?" 

"No. Not at all, I will pick you up then."

Meanwhile at iDAN international School. In the teachers staff room, Chioma was standing looking a little pale, then she looked through the window at the pupils and her colleague while they were observing their sport, because every Thursday of the week was their physical training day. Then Mr. James came in.

"Mrs. Chioma have been looking all over the school, for you." He continued. "Hope no problem? And While are you not with your pupils?" Mr. James asked looking worried. Chioma turned with a faint smile. "Nothing Sir, Am just a little bit tired." She looked down. Mr. James notice something was wrong, then he asked. "Hmmmmm? Did your husband noticed your behavior before you came to work." Chioma answered. "Yes. But I told him am a little stressed." she looked straight at Mr. James eyes. "He said I should stay home and rest. But I didn't want to."

 "If you say so, make sure during break you will see the nurse in the sick bay for checkup." She nodded. "Okay sir. Thanks." Mr. James stands up, he walked towards the exit door of the staff room. 

"Make sure you give me the full report, After break." 

During break. "Hello, Nurse Kike." Chioma called out her name as she went in the sick bay looking every area of the room. A lady on an office chair rolled towards her saying. "Good afternoon Chioma, What's up." With a friendly smile on her face. Chioma smiled back suddenly she became sad.

"Am not really feeling well since yesterday night." Nurse Kike moved closer, she held Chioma shoulder while still sitting. 

"Where are you feeling pain. Mentally, Physically or Spiritually?" She joked. Chioma laughed and sat down near her to explain herself. Nurse Kike is Chioma's Best Female Friend since primary school they could tell themselves almost anything that goes on in their lives.

With a serious tone. "Kike am feeling pain both in my mind." Pointing her head.  "and here." Pointing to her chest. "My heart." She said, Nurse Kike gave out a sigh then she said. "Joshua right?" Kike seems tensed. "But you told me you are over it already!" Chioma squeezed both her fists on her laps. 

"Yeah Kike....yes.... But this one....this one is different." Then Chioma folded her shirt.

 "Am feeling the day I fear most has finally come, but am happy. For some reason that I can't even apprehend." Kike looked at her confused. 

"Chioma you are not telling me what really happened." Chioma smiled immediately tear rolled down her right cheek. Then Chioma told her Everything she saw last night between Sarutobi and Joshua. 

After telling her what she saw. Kike examine her for a while then she said. "But Chi Chi. How do you know that's love." Chioma sighed. 

"Yes I know. Joshua is not the kind that tells you what is going on in his life, only if he trust you."

 "Okay ooo. Na you Sabi.(if you say so)" Kike said as she crossed her leg. Then Chioma stood up.

 "Am so happy he as seen the one that will...." Kike cut in "Chi Chi stop exaggerating! We haven't find proof yet." Chioma looked at Kike. "Okay." As she sat down. "See Chi Chi you need to rest." Pointing to the sick bed behind her. "You can sleep there." Chioma looked at Kike. "Seriously?! Am going back to the staffroom." Chioma stood up and walked towards the exit. Kike also stood up she cried. "Please don't go.... You know this place will be boring without anyone to talk to and I will be travelling tomorrow." Looking at Chioma with a pitiful face. Chioma smiled. "Okay...Kiky." So they chatted still break over.

In the staffroom. "So are we still going to visit mister Joshua today?" Miss Lola asked her fellow teachers that were in the staffroom excluding Mrs. Chioma who was still on her way. "No. not today." Mister Aliu answered her. Lola looked at Aliu, she said. "Why!?" "Because today is not the visiting day at the hospital." Said Mister Aliu. Lola hit both legs on the floor.

"Hooo!! Am already missing him."

 "Hmmmm. Not only you, we are also missing him." Said Usman. Lola placed her head on the table. "Mister Aliu, you know tomorrow is the day to submit our paperwork to Mr. James." Usman said, Immediately Lola raised up her head and said with a loud voice. "I know something!" Usman was looking surprised including every teacher that was present.

"What happened and what do you know?" Usman said,

"Mister Joshua and Mrs. Chioma.....where......lovers before!" Mr. Aliu and the other teachers looked at her in disgust. "You have come again with this your suggestion." Mr. Usman said. Lola didn't mind them but she continued. "Don't you know the way they always talk and look at each other? they talk as if they're....." meanwhile Chioma was already near the door of the staffroom, she heard everything, so she came in. "We are not Lola, but I can't denied the fact that we always talk together.....He have a special place in my heart that even you can't understand." Immediately Chioma finished her statement, the teachers, after seeing and hearing her, started giving excuses. "I left my paperwork in Basic's class, I will be on my way." Aliu said as he went out another teacher also followed Aliu saying. "Mine also!" Usman looking around checking his books on the table. "My period have started am going." Looking at Lola then he shook his head. Everyone in the staffroom where giving excuses to leave. On getting to Lola turn to move outside Chioma put one hand to the door blocking Lola from moving outside. "What is between Joshua and I is simple." Lola looking scared she said with a tiny tone. "What....is.....it?"

 ".........Love!" Chioma said with a serious voice and she continued. "Don't misunderstand me, Lola I don't mean the love between a husband and a wife. But the love between a brother and a sister." Lola nodded "so please can I go now. Please." Then Chioma removed her hand from her way. Lola immediately said. "Sorry!" As she quickly walk away from the most longest, hottest and most embarrassing moment of her life. After, Chioma seeing that no one is the staffroom. She smiled. "That....felt....good!" Then she sat down and prayed. After praying she went to her class to teach but on getting to her class she met Mr. James walking to his office.

 "Principal!! Principal!!!" She cried. 

James looked back. "Mrs. Chioma. Anything?" James asked

With a smile on her face. "No sir, after the meeting Nurse Kike she suggested I really do need a rest!" Mr. James looked confused. "Why is she smiling. Did something happened." He thought. "Okay Mrs. Chioma, please after school hours make sure you have enough rest.”

 She replied still smiling. "Yes sir. I will." Then she went to her class. Mr. James also nodded as he entered his office.
