Depths: 14

I don't know what to feel dahil na din sa mga alas tres na kami nakauwi at ngayon bago mag 9:30 need na ako sa kompanya dahil ituturo sa akin ang mga magiging trabaho 'ko.

Pagkagising 'ko wala si Alen sa buong inuupahan, si Jane at Kyle lang ang inabutan 'kong kumakain.

"Good morning"  bati 'ko sa kanila, tinanguan lang ako ni Kyle habang nginitian naman ako ni Jane. 

"Morning, first day?" she asked.

"Yeah"

"Saan ba kase kayo nagpunta at madaling araw na kayo nakauwi?" she chuckled at me then handed the sunny side up eggs.

I grabbed a toast and just putted the egg on top and folded the toast in half. I grabbed a mug then poured a drink.

"You know, date?" I said before putting the 'sandwich' in my mouth.

"Okay then, goodluck sa first day" she said then just continued eating, while me? 

Para ba akong nasa isang eating contest sa bilis ng pagnguya 'ko at pag-inom. After that pumunta na agad ako sa banyo para mag toothbrush at ligo.

I didn't even know kung paano 'ko nagawa lahat 'yun ng hindi na-late. I just found myself standing at the entrance of the company.

Nagdadalawang-isip ako kung need pa bang pumasok ako o hindi, tutal marami naman silang mga staff at employees. Before I can turn my heel, some lady in a corporal outfit approached me and asked if I'm the Stella Mae Fernandez. 

She even asked for an ID! If only I could fake my identity.

"So Ms. Salvador, 6th floor po ang finance department. You'll be assigned financing the budget for evidence related expenses like testing of blood samples, testing the finger prints and DNAs and more. As you know, this a crime related company, more like an agency" she said while pointing at a cubicle. Must be my cubicle.

I sat down, and just sighed. Hindi naman ganoon karami ang mga aayusin, maybe it's enough to make me stress?

It was almost 11 AM ng magdecide akong magbreak muna, so far kaya 'ko pa naman ang stress dito... I think.

When I got to the pantry may iilan na nandoon. Limang babae at tatlong lalaki. And the moment I entered the pantry, I feel like I've grown another head. 

"So..." the girl with glasses said breaking the silence.

Hindi 'ko na lang pinansin dahil wala din akong planong magtagal sa kompanya na ito. After the deal with their CEO, aalis na ako. 

I just got some biscuits and brewed some coffee. After waiting for some minutes natapos din, I feel uncomfortable with the stares I'm getting.

I place the remaining papers at the side of my cubicle before eating the biscuits. I was just drowned at my thoughts the whole time. 

I was thinking of the possibilities of my future, of how things will go, and what will happen with Alen. 

"Stella?" some girl with highlights on her hair came up to me, holding an envelop.

I'm really familiar with the envelops Keil Hermino is giving. Why only Keil Hermino? I don't know, naaasiwaan lang siguro ako sa mga facts na lahat ng sinabi n'ya sa akin tungkol kay Alen lahat totoo. 

"Yes? Ako 'yun miss" I answered while smiling, I just hoped that this smile isn't looking like a plastic smile.

"Pinabibigay ni CEO and pumunta ka daw sa office n'ya exactly 2 PM daw" she said before leaving and just walking to the elevator. 

I didn't look at the envelop nor open it, maybe because of the lack of sleep? I just don't want to look at this. As they say, truth hurts. Damn it really hurts.

The clock's hand moved faster than I thought. It was already 2 PM, the time I need to come to the Keil Hermino office. Luckily, natapos 'ko naman lahat ng trabahong ibinigay sa akin. Time to get home na nga kung wala lang punta punta sa office.

I feel like a teenager getting pissed off of being sent to the principal office.

I knocked twice and waited for the respond from the other side. It took some minutes before the answer. 

"Come in" 

"Why do you need me?" I ask not minding the other guy near him.

"Meet Inspector Kelvin Jackson Merchado. S'ya ang magiging assigned sa case ng boyfriend mo" honestly, this guy obviously used me for the evidence. 

"So?"

"So you need to give him the envelop I gave you first"

"Hindi 'ko s'ya dala, maybe bukas? I can give it to Inspector tomorrow" 

"Okay then, you can leave" after he said that, I immediately left that room.

I just got my things then decided to head home, while waiting for the Grab I booked, I saw a cafe.

Maybe I can unwind here.

I entered the cafe and was amazed by the ambiance, the interior design was comfortable. I ordered the Matcha Cake and a ice coffee. I felt like the years that was lost from all the stress I receive was coming back to me.

The moments I was enjoying the life soon come to an end. 

Umuwi akong nagkakagulo ang bahay na inuupahan namin. Nagwawala si Alen habang itinatapon palabas ang mga damit 'ko. May mga pasa sa mukha si Kyle at Jimuel. Nagpapanic si Jane at si Tita naman ay pinipilit pulutin ang mga gamit.

Para bang tumigil ang mundo 'ko ng tumigil sa akin ang tingin sa akin ni Alen. Wala na naman s'ya sa sarili at namumula ang mga mata.

"Ikaw! Dahil sa'yo!" he shouted at me while pointing his finger.

"Alen, please kumalma ka" Tita said while trying to stop him but she was only pushed aside.

"A-alen" I stuttered trying to fit in the situation.

"Ikaw ang dahilan! Ikaw ang nagturo sa mga pulis! Dahil siguro 'to sa lalaki mo!" sa bawat sinasabi n'ya, he was slapping me. My face was numb from the last slap.

He turned his hand into a fist and started to punch me. I was just a mess, I was crying and begging. I'm trying to call all the name of the saints in my head. 

This is  the end, there is no more hope. Hindi na s'ya ang lalaking minahal 'ko. From all the abuse I took from him, this is the worst.

But luckily, help came. 

Everything happened too quickly, Inspector Kelvin was holding done Alen and reciting the reason for the arrest. Someone I think is a medic came to me and treated me, same for the others who got involve. 

Everything is a mess and what Inspector told me just made my world stop.

Maybe this is just a dream? A nightmare. There's no thing that Nanang died. There's no way my only family left me. This is just making me lost my mind, how can I even help my self? 

It's like I'm seeing my self sink in the depths of despair, sinking farther and deeper. I was too intrigue from the depths that I no longer knows what kind of ocean I've fallen to.
