Chapter 1.

CHAPTER 1.

Roselia is inside the classroom while reading a book. The class isn’t starting yet, the whole place is quiet, and she’s the first one to arrive.

She looked out the window beside her, resting her eyes from reading the book. She leaned on the chair and looked at the door when someone opened it.

She saw her best friend - Shiloah. Shiloah Montes is one of her classmates here in the academy and she has a problem in controlling her magic every time she’s using it.

She sat down beside Roselia, taken out her book from her bag that she borrowed from the archives.

"You’re early today." Shiloah commented while reading a book.

"I just woke up early again. I don't know why though." Roselia sighed. She didn't have any idea why she woke up this early in the morning.

"Did you dream about something again?" Roselia shook her head as an answer. Even her, she has no idea why.

"I don't remember having any dreams though. So I don’t think that's the case here." Roselia answered but she felt like there's a reason why this happens.

"That’s always happening, Elia. I'm worried, there might have a serious reason." Elia shook her head.

"I think this is nothing, Shiloah. I just woke up early, that’s all." Elia assured, but Shiloah is still worried.

"Are you sure?" Elia nodded and Shiloah sighed. "But tell me if there's anything I can help, okay?" Elia nodded then, they went back to reading.

They are studying in Geledone Academy – a school for the wizards and trustworthy witches in the whole continent of Vitadinem.

The classes are divided into four according to one's ability and strengths:

Council - the leaders of the academy.

Elites - the wizards who possesses rare abilities.

Supreme - wizards with strong power and magic.

And the last one is the class of:

Majesty – Support type wizards

Elia and Shiloah are part of the Supreme Class. Though, Shiloah should had been in the Council class, but the head wizard of the academy decided to put her in the Supreme Class. Shiloah has a strong power, if she’s going to learn how to control it soon.

"Later, after class, we're going to practice again, okay?" Elia reminded Shiloah and she nodded. Roselia needs to help her so that, the other students won't bully Shiloah anymore.

Because Shiloah can't control her powers, other students keep on bullying her and keeps on making fun of her and her failed spells.

Later on, most of the students went inside the room and also Bryne's group. Bryne is a younger sibling of their Professor – Bryan, who came from the world of Magique.

Bryne's group is the group of bullies here inside the room and they're always bullying Shiloah because of her failed spells. They are also bullying other students who are weaker than them and who can’t fight back.

"Hello, Shiloah. We're waiting for your failed spells again." Bryne mocked. The group laughed. Roselia stands up from her seat then glared at them. Bryne and her friends took a step back.

"If Shiloah isn't fighting back, then I'll fight back just to protect her from all of you." She warned.

"Don’t even dare me or else, you’ll regret it." She added.

Bryne and her friends already went to their seats.

Roselia sighed, sat down to her seat again. She looked at Shiloah's direction, she's shaking and tries to stop herself from crying.

When Roselia was about to hold her, she stops herself. She remembered that there is a seal on Shiloah's body, she didn't know where it came from.

Shiloah has a seal on her body, with an unknown presence and identity. Roselia wishes to investigate in search of its origin and its cause. Roselia also speculated that Shiloah can't control her magic, because of the seal.  

"Don't worry, I'll help you to control it." Roselia assured her then Shiloah nodded at her.

"Thank you very much, Elia." Shiloah said with a smile

Professor Bryan arrived inside the classroom.

He laid his things on the table, grabs the attendance sheet then calls the students one by one.

"Crossevell, Roselia?"

Roselia raised her hand and the professor looked at her direction then smiled sweetly and proudly.

"Congratulations, you're the only who passed the written test." Professor Bryan announced. Roselia smiled at the news.

"Thank you, professor." Roselia answered happily, while Shiloah clapped her hands softly. Shiloah is also proud of her best friend.

"Good for you." Shiloah stated. Roselia turned to her and held Shiloah's hand.

She immediately felt an electricity, she let go of her hand in shock.

"I felt an electricity." Roselia looked at her hand in surprise.

"I'm very sorry if I hurt you." Shiloah, replied guiltily. Roselia shook her head and smiled at her.

"I'll teach you to control your power. I'll help you to control it. Whatever happens, I'll always help you." Roselia stated with determination and Shiloah nodded.

“I’ll always be here for you, Shiloah. Don’t worry, I won’t leave you behind.” I assured her.

"Thank you Elia, really." Shiloah answered with a smile then she feels okay now because of the assurance of Roselia.

"Montes, Shiloah." Shiloah raised her hand when the professor called her.

"Your answer is almost correct but you made a mistake in one part." The professor stated.

The professor put the paper down on the table, grabbed a marker and wrote something on the board.

‘Song of Miracles.’

Written on the board, it was a song used by the Song-casters, in every ritual. The ritual is for the people who are helping them, Song-casters uses the ritual to thank people who are helping them without asking in return.

"You wrote to your paper that this song is for the people who are kind to them, because the correct answer is this is a ritual for thanking the people who helped them without asking in return." The professor explained.

"I understand, professor." Shiloah answered with a nod and a deep sighed.

"That's too close... Better luck next time." Shiloah muttered to herself gloomily. The professor laughs softly when he saw Shiloah's reaction.

"Don’t worry, I gave you a consideration because your answer is already close to the right answer." The professor stated then he continues the attendance.

"The song of the stars is a song that is mostly sang by the Song-casters whom possesses magic that came from the stars." The professor explained. 

Song-casters are a type of wizards/witches, who uses their voices in singing to cast a spell and as a protection.

"Due to what happened in the year 899, this type of wizards/witches almost gone extinct because of Satrina Caster."

"Who's she professor?" One of the students asked. Professor Bryan fix his eyeglasses before answering the question.

"To be honest, no one knows about her. Because she's killing everyone who knows her immediately. That's the reason why her name is the only thing that we know for now." The professor answered when Roselia raised her hand.

"Yes, Ms. Crossevell?"

"Based on what I read from one of the ancient books in our house, Satrina Caster is a wizard who's envious of the Song-casters." Roselia stated.

"She envies the Song-casters because Satrina's past lover left her because of a Song-caster named Sollia Soladad." Roselia added.

Professor Bryan nodded at her, while writing down the information that he learned, for him to share it to the other class.

"Who's Sollia Soladad?" One of the students asked.

"Based on the locals, she's the most beautiful wizard in the whole world." Roselia shared.

"Also one of the most powerful wizards at her time, she's even the top 1 wizard in the ranking before." She added.

"Why don't you just discussed it in front of us? Know it all." Bryne commented.

"Why don't be like her so that you can contribute something better within the class?" Professor Bryan stated to his younger sister.

"Better to be productive student, rather than to be a bully. When it comes to class you can't even answer a simple question." He added.

Bryne paled and looked down in humiliation. Bryan is really harsh when it comes to his sister due to her bad attitude.

"Thank you for the information, Ms. Crossevell. Any more questions class?" All students shook in reply.

"Okay. Class dismissed. Bryne, follow me." Professor Bryan left the room and Bryne followed behind him. Roselia leaned on the chair then sighed in relief.
