Chapter 6: Attitude

[Next Morning] 7:30 am

Y/N P.O.V

My eyes opened to the vexatious alarm noise that pierced my ears as I got off my bed, more like hauled myself off of the bed.

I went to the bathroom and did my everyday routine. Once I chose my outfit, I did my makeup. I usually don't apply any foundation as my skin is quite smooth and perfect but I have to since I have the purple bruise on my cheekbone which didn't sting at all.

Jimin is such a wimp. He doesn't even know how to punch properly. Anyways, I tried concealing up the bruise with foundation, applied a nude eye shadow tone and a nude lipstick. Then I applied some blush to give my cheeks a bit of colour and finally sprayed some setting spray for the makeup to look more polished and natural. For the hair, I tied them in a messy high ponytail.

I took hold of my school bag, wore my shoes and went downstairs to have breakfast with Yoongi. Since he wakes up earlier than me, he makes breakfast too.

I sat on the chair beside the table after greeting my brother with a huge smile. I glanced at my watch and realized it was 7:50 already. Shit, I will be late. I decided to get hold of an apple and run like a maniac to reach school after pecking my brother on the cheeks to say goodbye.

As I went outside the house, I saw Taehyung looking at me with a grin. What is he doing here? I returned him a smile and approached him.

Hi.

What are you doing here?

Oh, I thought maybe we could drive to school together.

Drive? You do know that I don't own a car right?

No, I mean I brought my car and since we are late, it would be better to drive there rather than walking.

Y/N stood on her spot, debating on whether she should go with him in his car or not until he spoke, "But i..if you're uncomfortable with me in the car, we can walk instead."

"Ah, no! It's fine with me. Now let's go! We will get more late."

Taehyung gave me one of his famous boxy smile which he may have used to trap every girl but I don't care since I'm very late so I just smiled at him and drove to school in his black SUV.

[8:15 am]

We exited Taehyung's car and ran through the school hallway at the speed of light, maybe we were flying. As for Taehyung, he is so slow. He runs like a toad but I tried to slow down so he could catch up with me. Soon we arrived at Mr.Lee's class and I guarantee that he would be mad at us. He hates it when students come late to his class.

I looked at Taehyung who gulped out of fear and terror. Heh, such a scaredy-cat. I knock on the door first and entered the classroom followed by Taehyung.

We both deeply bowed at him while apologizing but all he did was glare at us and said, "I expected this from Taehyung but not from you Y/N. I will let you off the hook since it's your first time being late but Taehyung, you just earned yourself a detention."

Taehyung groaned out of frustration when the teacher spoke again, seeming to have a better punishment for the guy next to me, "Wait I have a better idea. I will give you an extra load of homework to do and next week is the submission date. If you don't come up with the complete homework, you will have a long meeting with the principle."

Taehyung had given up on life as he sighed deeply and went to sit on his chair. I did the same and took out my notebook to take notes of what the teacher says.

I kinda feel bad for Taehyung. I mean why didn't I get extra homework when I was late too. It isn't right. Wait, why am I worrying about Taehyung?

"Stop it Y/N!" I internally scolded myself and then looked at my left to see my best friend Sana. I beamed and waved at her while she did the same. Soon I realized someone was scowling at me. Hwasa.

She looked at me with those not-so-threatening eyes and mouthed to me, "Stay away from Taehyung!"

I jeered with disbelieve and got back to my work. He could've been with you if you hadn't cheated on him, hoe. This scandal is all over school, well it's not a scandal anymore, but, whatever.

I heard Hwasa and Taehyung were a couple but broke up because that bitch cheated on him. Maybe he isn't who I think he is. But what if he is who I think he is. Just another playboy, like any other.

Y/N P.O.V ends

[Lunch Break] [11:00 am]

Sana and Y/N were having a peaceful conversation but after a few minutes, Sana excused herself to go to the washroom. Y/N started using her phone as a source of enjoyment when someone banged her fists on the table.

Y/N looked towards the direction of the person to see the one and only, Hwasa, with an angry look plastered on her face. Her pack of dogs stayed right beside her who worshipped her just for the money she has.

Y/N let go of her phone to keep it on the table and stood up in front of her with a smirk formed on her lips, "What do you want, Hwasa?"

She let out a scoff and took a few closer steps towards Y/N and said, "You know exactly what I want. Stay away from Taehyung or you will see the worst side of me."

"Look, firstly, I am not the one running after your ex-boyfriend. Secondly, you don't scare me even a tiny bit because you haven't seen my worst side either and trust me, it's bad. Lastly, it's your fault he isn't running after you because you were the one to cheat on him, so stop whining and get lost!", Y/N said before turning her back on her but Hwasa held her injured wrist with some pressure which made Y/N let out a slight groan and look at her.

"Hwasa, let go. I don't want to do something you will regret."

"You think I care?! You stay away from him you hoe-"

Hearing a false insult about herself made Y/N's blood boil. The veins on her neck and hands were prominent due to the anger. She instantly yanked Hwasa's hand away with immense pressure and slapped her right on her face. Hwasa held her cheek as she stared at the ground with her eyes widened. Y/N yelled in pain because of her damaged wrist which worsened the injury because of the slap she gave using the same hand.

Sana came running back to her best friend when she saw her in pain. Hwasa's expression was full of hate and revenge. She pushed Sana away and was about to slap her but Y/N never felt the pain from the slap.

"Is it just me or she doesn't know how to slap, because that didn't hurt at all." Y/N thought but soon she realized someone was holding Hwasa's wrist to prevent Y/N from getting slapped right in the face. That someone, was, Kim Taehyung.

Hwasa looked at him with a surprised expression.

Taehyung let go of her wrist and said with a cold expression, "Hwasa get the f*ck out of here!"

"But she started all this first!"

"You think I'm a dumb shit like you. If I see you next to my best friend ever again, I will make sure to show the principle the video Jungkook took when you were about to slap her. Now get lost with your group of hench persons, Hwasa!"

Hwasa threw Y/N a glare before leaving with her group of minions while Y/N only scoffed at her.

Taehyung and Jungkook approached Y/N who was being comforted by Sana.

"I'm sorry I got you in all this trouble Y/N", Taehyung said sitting next to her.

Y/N was confused to hear a sudden apology from the one and only, Taehyung, "Why are you sorry? She is the one who should be sorry. And besides, she doesn't have the right to tell me who I should stay away from and who I should stay with. Anyways, thank you but I can take care of myself you know."

"You could've just said thank you instead of telling me that at the end.", Taehyung acted annoyed.

But Y/N was more irritated, "Why? Do you think I'm not capable enough to look after myself? I don't need anyone to have my back or anything okay. Do you think I couldn't have done anything if she was going to slap me? I'm perfectly able of taking care of myself so either appreciate the thank you that I said or don't. I have never really cared."

Taehyung was surprised at how quickly Y/N's behaviour can change towards him which he didn't like. Unwillingly he yelled at her and said, "What the hell is wrong with you?! I saved you from getting into trouble with the principle, I had your back when you got into a fight with Jimin and I just saved your face from getting thrashed and all I get is you yelling at me? Why do you keep on changing every time? You are all good and friendly towards me for a while but the next thing I know is you being unappreciative towards me!! Why are you freaking like that towards me huh!!??"

"Because I don't fucking wanna fall in love with a playboy!" she yelled before taking a hold of her stuff and ran away from the cafeteria while tears welled up in her eyes which eventually fell like a river of water. She wants to avoid loving him because all she will end up is in a river of tears and a cave of sorrow.
