Chapter 13: Little Confrontation!

Hernan has already received the news of Armaan’s investment in MUs. He was not surprised at all as he very well understands his ways and means but was a little astonished. Armaan never leaves a chance for his opponent to put down their claws in the business battle and this is about his love so how can he take any chances.

Hernan called Armaan and, “So Smart, nice move man!”

As usual, Armaan was not interested in his bickering, so he was quiet.

After a few seconds, he said, “You know what to do next, so just shut your mouth and do some productive work before you get destitute!”

“Stop cursing me Armaan, I am your friend man. I don’t want to talk to you. This news will be there on the front page of all newspapers and digital platforms so that your love rival is informed well. Bye!” Hernan replied but before he hung up the call Armaan did. He cursed him thousands times in his heart as otherwise what else he can do to him.

Reese came back from the office with a sullen face. She was a little anxious but what she can do. Seeing her like this Aviva was grinning like a fool. 

Armaan also came back early today to have dinner with all. All were sitting on the table and quietly eating the food. Reese has already lost her appetite not in the mood to eat anything.

Mother Lee asked her, “What happened Reese? Why are you not eating anything? Are you not feeling well kid? Do you want to have something else?”

“No, I am ok. It's just I don’t have an appetite as I have something heavy in evening snacks!” Reese replied.

On the contrary, Armaan was enjoying his dinner.

Aviva knows the reason for her lost appetite and was foolishly smiling. Seeing her like this Grandmother asked her, “Aviva why are you laughing? What happened to you?”

“Uummhh….what grandma…no I am not… food is very delicious so I am just relishing the same.” She replied.

Everyone left after eating. Armaan went to his study as he still has some unfinished business.

Reese also came back to her room but want to talk to Armaan on this. She summed up the nerve and knocked on the study door. 

Armaan was expecting her; he said, “Come in!”

Reese went inside and stood in front of his desk. It is said that men indulged in their work look more handsome. He was looking so elegant and gracious; few bangs of hair are crossly touching his forehead. His long eyelashes were dropped as he was reading some documents. The room was filled with his masculine scent.

She was standing like a statue, not knowing where to start.

Without looking up he asked, “Yes, tell me what business you have to discuss with me?”

She opened her lips but it was like words got stuck in her throat.

“If you just want to look at me, then you can take my picture and leave”, He said.

Idiot...What rubbish? Why do I want to have your picture? How Arrogant? She thought.

“No, I just want to ask you something. Why have you invested in MUs? It is just a mid-tier the organization not matching the strength of Lee group.” She asked.

Armaan stopped reading and paused for a few seconds.

“What do you think? Do you think it’s not a promising company?” He said.

“No, I didn’t mean that. It is a very good organization with great strength.” She replied.

“You got your answer than”, Armaan said.

“But….” 

Before she could say further, Armaan suddenly stood up from the chair and moved to her side with a blink of an eye. She didn’t understand what happened and startled as Armaan was standing very close to her. She took two steps back but Armaan also moved forward. There was a little panic in her eyes whereas Armaan has a devil smile. This continued till her back hit the hard wall, she swallowed her Saliva and straighten her body.

There was very little distance between their bodies. The proximity was tensed and so closed that the fragrance of their body was also mingled. Armaan was very tall around 6’2, he put his left hand above her head, bent his head little, and asked, “But what?”

Her head was very close to his chest, she can hear his heartbeat, although her own was racing at a much higher speed. She couldn’t hear what he said and was somewhat like lost in his closeness. 

He bent more and asked again in his hoarse voice, “But what Reese”.

Her legs were going numb and she was about to fell, without delay she placed her hands on his chest and clenched his shirt.  

Armaan has already pulled her in his embrace and his arms are wrapped around her waist. She was profusely blushing and the red color was spread from neck to ear. Her soft body was pressed against his hard. She could easily feel the emitting heat from his body. 

Armaan went close to her ear and again asked, “But what Reese. What do you think?” His hot breath tickled her neck and his lips brushed against her earlobe, she shivered and was dumbfounded. Armaan was enjoying her body reaction that was plastered against him; however, his self-control was also giving him trouble. Her snow-white exposed clavicles were sugary temptations.

She was shocked enough and was not able to utter a single word. Her face was hot. She was clearly feeling the increasing tension of his lower abdomen; she is not a kid anymore and his brother was proud enough.

“Reese, Reese”, Aviva was calling her. She immediately pushed him hard and run like a frightening rabbit.

She came out of the study and rushed to the direction of her room but still blushing hard. 

Aviva asked her, “What happened Reese? Why are you so red? Are you having a fever? Let me check.”

“No nothing…I.I am fine, it’s just nothing. You tell me why you are calling me.” Reese said.

“Oh me….Nothing I was feeling bored so came to your room. Where were you?” Aviva asked with pouted lips.

“I went to the kitchen for water!” she said.

“Is it? You are not looking good and why are you so red?” Aviva asked again.

“Yes, I am fine. You go as I don’t have time and need to finish the work.” Reese said keeping her face down.

“This is not done, why you have to do so much of work,” Aviva said with a little puppy face.

“Then get yourself also busy, go join somewhere,” Reese replied.

“Oh this is a good idea now as brother is also having his share in MUs; I can also join there and follow my handsome hunk,” Aviva said happily.

Reese frowned hearing Armaan’s name as she was still in the same state of mind of what happened a few minutes back. 

She replied to Aviva, “Do whatever you want to do but please leave me alone?” and pushed her out of the room.

She went to the washroom and washed her face with cold water for 2-3 times. But the scene was continuously playing hard in her mind. Although she was panicked at that time but she felt Armaan’s closeness nice.

Her body was betraying her. She came out and started her work to distract herself but it was of no use.

Armaan also came back to the room as he is in instantaneous need of a cold shower.
