Chapter 17: First Accidental Kiss!

Following that incident, Timmy Chen was fired from the organization as Armaan's statement was clear enough for the action.

Days were going smoothly for Reese from the work perspective but as Armaan has directly taken the project under his eyes so how can other things go undemanding for her. Being the main designer now she has to directly report him. This has also made other girls envy her.

As the senior quality group from Lee group is also helping MUs so they were made to sit close to the quality group only, to make things easy. The group which was assisting the Hilltop project was lead by Aaron Wen, 26 years old, an extremely capable professional and not to forget handsome too. Many girls were already drooling over him but he was always unaffected.

But after seeing Reese how can he remain unmoved. Reese was also happily working with him as he never crossed the line. In just a few days they have become quite good friends but not so closed.

Today they were having a meeting with Armaan on the latest update on the project track as well as the closure of the first phase post which first final design of Resort area one will be submitted to Sean group. Reese was quite easy with Aaron and happily talking but as soon as Armaan entered the meeting she stiffened. Aaron patted her shoulder and asks her to relax by offering a glass of water. Seeing this Armaan's eyes darkened. Reese's head was down but still, she can feel the cold glare of Armaan. She bit on her lips and was unable to understand the reason behind that.  

Now, what have I done wrong? Why is glaring me like this? There is no problem with the project report too. He is a jerk; she scolded Armaan in her hearts a thousand times.

Meeting went quite smoothly as she presented all the layout plans with definite conditions properly. Everyone in the room becomes more and more fond of Reese’s intelligence and quick-mindedness. Aaron has never left his eyes away from Reese, which was noticed by Armaan.

If eyes could kill anybody, then Aaron would already be dead by Armaan’s cold gaze.

Meeting ended with a success note and Reese being asked to prepare a final presentation for Sean’s. Everyone is asked to leave.

It was now lunchtime; Armaan was still discussing some other points with the quality director when he heard Aaron asked Reese to come for lunch. She nodded ok and was collecting his stuff.

Before she could step out of the meeting room, she got the message on her phone.

“12:30 pm Lunch in my office”

It was sent by Armaan.

Reese halted and looked back but Armaan was normal and still speaking with his people.

She replied, “Ok”, as if she has any choice.

She went back to her desk and Aaron also came.

Aaron said, “Let’s go Reese, its time for lunch!”

She replied, “Sorry Aaron, I forget I have already promised my friend for a lunch today. I just got her reminder. Maybe next time.”

Little disheartened, Aaron said, “It’s Ok, you should go.” and left.

When almost everyone left for lunch, she went to the elevator and pressed the floor number of the president’s office. She reached the floor and Nolan was already there waiting for her. He gestured towards the Armaan’s office door and said, “Mam, boss is waiting for you.”

She went forward and knocked on the door and heard “Come in”.

Armaan was still working and food boxes were placed table next to the couch. She entered but her heart was racing fast and hands went jittery. For the last few days whenever she appeared in front of Armaan, she was in a state of acute nervousness.

Armaan stopped working and stood up.

“Why are you still standing there?” Armaan asked.

“No, I thought you’ll take some time so was waiting.” She replied. Her speech was slurry

“You can wait by sitting there too.” he pointed towards the couch.

She came forward and sat on the couch. Armaan also came and sat next to her. Again being close to his proximity her body stiffens.

But soon she composed herself and serves the food on the plate.

A few minutes later, she asked, “Why did you suddenly call me for lunch?”

“Don’t think too much, mom asked me as she knows you are here.” Armaan has her mother as a trump card to manage Reese.

Although, Reese was not expecting some specific reason but somehow, for an unknown reason, after hearing that she felt sad inside.

They finished lunch in silence.

They both stood up but suddenly Reese's knee hit the table corner and she directly fell on Armaan. As it was so sudden that Armaan was also not prepared, he fell on the couch. Armaan hands were holding her waist but Reese's lips masked Armaan lips.

It was an accidental thud but when her soft lips touched Armaan’s, he tightened his grip on her. Before she could react, Armaan licked her lower lip. Her face turned into a hot bun and blood was flowing back to head. Her eyes popped out wide just like an egg.

She was completely puzzled and forgets to stand up. Her hands were there on his chest. When she came back to her senses, she immediately stood up with her head down.

Armaan leisurely stood up and gave her a faint smirk. She didn’t give a glance to him and run out like a wind.

Armaan moved his finger on his lips and felt quite contented with a sweet delicacy after lunch.
