Chris's lips met mine. My mind was telling me it was wrong and I should stop yet my body ached for more of him. I kissed him back, enjoying the sweet feeling that arose from the connection of our lips. Desire raged through my whole body as the kiss became steamy.

He disconnected his lips from mine and they dropped kisses along my jawline and downwards to my neck. His right hand went under my top caressing my tummy which tightened and arched at the contact. His gentle touch and kisses left me craving more. I didn't think I'd ever get enough.

I pulled away and lifted up his shirt so he could remove it. He froze for a second but smiled, and pulled it off his head. He was lean but he had well defined abs. I smiled, tracing my fingers along the lovely tattoos on his smooth but hard skin.

"They're awesome," I told Chris who was not listening because he was too busy trying to get my top off. It finally went over my head and landed on the cold hard floor.

Chris pushed me onto my bed and appeared on top of me. Supporting himself with his left elbow, his other hand travelled under me to unclasp my bra. He kissed the skin of my breasts then settled on one of my nipples, sucking and biting while his beard hair tickled the side of my breast. It felt so good.

I really loved how it felt. It'd been ages since I felt that good. Leaving my breasts, Chris left a trail of kisses down my tummy. My insides were burning and I felt like I was on fire. The teasing was just too much and I wanted more. When he brought back his lips to mine and lowered himself, his hardness pressed against me and this sent sparks rushing through my body. If I didn't love Clyde so much, I'd have thought I was in love with Chris. The physical attraction I felt towards him was undeniable.

I gently pushed him off me to the side of bed and I reached out to touch his hard length over his black skinny jeans. He was big. The fabric was a great obstacle so I decided I was going to remove it.

Before I could do that, the door opened and we both jerked up instantly. Ruby's face appeared at the door and she quickly closed the door when she caught sight of us. Such bad timing.

I was so embarrassed but Chris chuckled like what had happened was the most normal thing ever.

"You forgot to lock the door?" Chris grinned at me. "So careless. Imagine if it was Clyde. He'd have killed us."

At the mention of Clyde, I snapped back to reality realizing that I had been about to make a terrible mistake. I sat up and frantically reached out for my top.

"We can't do this, Chris." I told him.

"Is it because of Clyde?" he asked sadly. "I understand you love him. I'm sorry. I don't know what came over me."

"I feel it's wrong," I told him running my palm along his back and tattooed arm. "I don't want to betray Clyde because I really love him."

"It's okay if you don't want to do it. I will not force you into anything," He said, drawing me closer to him. He kissed my forehead.

"Really?" I smiled.

"Yes Shannon," he confirmed, nodding. "I know the right time will come. All that's meant to happen will happen."

"When I break up with Clyde?" I asked.

"I don't know," he said. "It depends on you. We'll see what happens. All you need to know is that I really care about. You have a special place in my heart and I'm willing to love you forever. I'll wait for you to make your decision and I'll support you in whatever you decide."

"You're so sweet," I hugged him. "Thank you so much, Chris. I didn't know guys like you still existed."

I was beginning to think Chris was better than Clyde and warming up to him. He had only been nice but nothing else. Why wouldn't I trust him?

Maybe Clyde was the cause of their division and he decided to shift the blame so Chris could appear as the bad guy? I had to find out the truth as soon as possible. What if Clyde never really changed? After the leaving Keri, Clyde had started therapy and he had become a better person over the years. Kim had told me that he still saw Mrs Coleman, the therapist occasionally.

"Let's take a stroll," Chris put his shirt back on. He stood up. "It'll do us some good."

"Will you be okay?" Somehow, my eyes landed on his crotch. I inhaled and looked at his face.

"I guess I will," he said, watching me intensely. I stood up and hugged him. "I'll have to be. Don't worry about me."

I considered giving him a hand job but dropped the thought. I didn't want to complicate things further. Who knows what that would end up in? I couldn't trust my raging teenage hormones in such situations.

"Okay, let's go now." I said. I loved long walks. Sometimes I did them alone and they helped me relax and think things through. I loved living in a small town because there were lots of places you could go which didn't have crowds.

He helped me put on my bra and top. When everything was done, we went off. My friends were seated under a tree outside the hall. They waved at me with knowing smiles on their faces. I waved back, shaking my head. There was no escaping. I had a lot of explaining and describing to do when I got back.

At least I had time to edit the events in my mind. Remove some and throw in a few lies to make up a believable story. Easy.

On Friday night I received a call from Kim inviting to their family picnic. Although I was not very close to Clyde's family, I always tagged along because of Kim's consistent invitations. We used to be like peas in a pod when Clyde and Keri were dating. In most of their family picnics, two members outside the family were supposed to be invited as a rule. To make the occasion more lively, Clyde and Kim had to invite a close friend of theirs to join. I admired that family tradition of theirs.Kim always chose me because she said I was her best friend though she wasn't my best. We were super close though not in the way I was close to friends I wasn't related to. Clyde always came with Louis or his other friends. Before my first kiss with Clyde I'd always loved the picnics because it gave me a chance to hang out with the guy I was crushing on.This time I wasn't thrilled at all. I had not been with his family since we kissed and I knew awkwardness was g

After exiting the room, I immediately dialled Chris's number."Hello," I said."Hey Shannon. Are you okay? You don't sound well."I wiped my face with my palm. "I'm not okay.""What's it, baby? What has happened?""Can we meet?""I'm going to the campus right now," I said. "Can we meet at Somi's cafe?"I got there before he did. He walked in when I was sipping my iced tea. We spent a lot of time talking about normal student issues for semester tests were starting in a week and the atmosphere was changing. Most students were becoming serious and during the night, there were few people in clubs and bars around Campus."Why are you so nice to me?" I asked Chris as I gulped the last of my iced tea. Chris couldn't even finish a cup of iced tea because he preferred coffee. It was the third I'd drank since I entered the cafe."Because you

I found myself outside Clyde's apartment two days later. I'm not entirely sure what took me there. Either it was my undying love for him or guilt. I took a deep breath and knocked.Louis opened the door and shot me a death glare, "What do you want, Shannon?""Hello to you too, Louis." I smiled. "I hope you're having a good day. I come in?""I was until you arrived," He raised an eyebrow. "Are you spying on us?"I laughed, "Come on, Louis. Why would I do something like that? Don't be ridiculous.""Chris sent you, didn't he?" He studied me, still blocking the way in. How frustrating!"Of course not. I just felt like seeing Clyde. Can I go in now.""He's your sister's ex," he said."So what? Can't I see my sister's ex if we're friends? What the hell is wrong with you? This doesn't concern you at all.""You can't kiss him. Especia

"I can't believe this," Kelsey said, placing the battery on the table. It was the only thing in the phone that survived intact. She grabbed a broom and collected the remaining pieces of my phone. "Even after knowing that you have a boyfriend, Chris is still after you? How did you get so lucky, my friend?""And he's gonna get you a phone? Just like that?""Is there something you're not telling us?" Ruby asked. She bent over to unbuckle her brown flats. "We're your friends, you know."I studied the girls' faces and they seemed to share the same opinion. Anyone could tell they were highly suspicious by their smiles and that was not good for me at all. Maybe they had already talked about me behind my back.Shit!"Alright," I sighed. "The thing is they don't like each other at all. They're kind of enemies.""So you knew Chris before that party?" Nina asked unwrapping a bar of chocolate. She took a g

Fury swept over me the moment Clyde mentioned Chris. I broke away and went to sit on my bed. This wasn't how I wanted things to go. If he wanted us to work out, he had to put his little feud aside."I can't just stop talking to him."Clyde glared at me. "What? Why not?""He seems to be a good person," I reasoned. "He'd be hurt if I just stopped talking to him. We're kind of friends now.""So you wanna please him and hurt me? Wow that's really great, Shannon. Thank you for being so considerate. I love you so much more now.""Stop being dramatic. I'm not trying to hurt you," I explained. "Just because you hate Chris doesn't mean I should hate him. I don't even know what happened between you guys. Why should I get involved?""You don't know because it's none of your business." Clyde came to sit next to me. I let him hold my hand. "All you need to know is he's not what he makes you thin
