Chapter 6

      Waking up feeling the heat of the sun in my skin even I have AC in my bedroom, warmness occupying the entire room! Why I go back in summer season! I stand up and go to the  washroom but I'm still sweating. Then I realized the we have indoor pool. After I change I go down and saw Manang. 

"Good morning po manang Fe!" I greet her in lively tone. 

"Good morning din, ma'am Yngrid." She said. 

"Drop the ma'am! Manang fe naman eh, Ay! Manang si Dad nandyan pa ba?"

"Kakaalis lang ni Sir Ysmael, hinahanap ka nga niya pero sabi ko sa kanya na mukhang kayong may sakit. Kaya hindi ka na pina istorbo." She said. Manang Fe really knows me well, she use to cover me up with my dad. 

"Ang galing mo talaga manang, kaya favorite kita eh!" 

"Sus ikaw talagang bata ka! Binola mo pa ako" She stares at me wickedly. 

"Ay, manang hindi ako magaling mangbola totoo lahat ng sinasabi ko!" I said. Touching her shoulder while teasing her again. 

"Oh, siya! At maligo kana, at Pawis na pawis kana oh!" Her tone becomes serious. 

"Ikaw manang ayaw mo lumangoy kasama ako?" I smile at her mischievously while blinking my one eye. 

"Aba! Gusto mo atang lamigin at mag masakit ako ah!" She said. 

Laughing at her hardly and said, "Hahaha, kayo talaga manang fe! Nag bibiro lang naman ako." 

She hits my shoulder first, "Ay! alam ko naman yun, sige na at magluluto pa ako." 

Manang Fe is working with us for a long time now, she is like a family to us. she used to help my mom in household chores. Especially in cooking, mom doesn't have any talent in cooking. but she is willing to learn and eventually she becomes a good cook. I miss 

her and her cooking and I miss my brother too, my protector. 

My tears are slowly falling down I remember our good memories together, but because of me, they have gone. I swipe my tear and jump on the pool, I swim until I get tired, putting all my stress in Swimming. After an hour I decided to go back to my room and change. 

But I heard the smash to my door and rapidly to open it. 

"What did you do?" Dad said. 

"What do you mean? I don't know  what are you talking about!" I replied.

"What I mean! Here look!" He tosses pictures on the floor. 

The scene on the photos makes me more shocked, it's was me kissing a guy inside the car and when I'm with Orion outside his Condo. But it was a month ago? Who took all these photos? 

"I don't know about that !" I said. Putting up the pictures in my hand.  

"You don't know! But you know it was you right?" 

"Fine, it was me! But that was a month ago!" My confession. 

"Who is that guy! Who is he! I thought you're done in making a scandalous scene!" he yelled.

"Where did you get this?" I asked. 

"It doesn't matter where I get this! I want you to clean this mess now!" He shouted at me. 

He is breathing deeply his face starting to pale, I assist him to sit on my sofa. 

"I promise I will fix this," I said calmly. 

I wait until he falls asleep after a while he silently napping on the bed. Even we constantly arguing I can't handle if something bad happens to him. After a while, I decided to go back to my room. I need to fix this scandal! 

I dialed Maxine's phone number to ask for her advice. "Wait, What? You make out with Orion?" She said. 

"Yes! How many times do I need to tell you that!" After explaining to her what happen, she becomes curious about my relationship to Orion. 

"So you're not aware of what are you doing that night?" She asked. 

"Oh? Girl, I wasn't in my sober mind okay!" I annoyingly said. 

"Oh! that's sad! So you didn't enjoy your first!" She said. 

"Damn! Don't be so silly! you know what, you can't help me I'm gonna end this!" I said angrily. 

"Come on! Don't be so serious I'm just joking, But you mentioned earlier that you met him last week?" 

"Yeah, but I didn't listen to his explanation." 

"And you also said that you had a scandal with him?" she added. 

"Oh! Maxine, It wasn't a scandal okay? It was just a picture!" 

"Well, still! That will be a big scandal to your family, you recently broke up with your ex and you have a new guy!" she said. 

"So what I need to do?" I asked. 

"Get married! Once the media find out that you're married, they will not gonna put wrong content about you!" Maxine said.

"I don't think it's a good idea!" I told her. 

"Oh? Come on! You will marry him only to save your name and after a few years, you can get a divorce. But remember, don't marry him in the Philippines!" She said. 

"Do you think that man, will going to agree with me?" My voice is too lively. 

"Then do something, that can make him agree with you?" she added. 

After we discuss our plan I end the call, Maxine knows me for 10 years now. She knows everything about my life, that's why I ask her opinion though sometimes she has a crazy opinion she is good at planning.

I woke up early to go to my father's company, also to meet Orion to discuss my proposal to him. I walk straight to his office, I notice some employees looking at me but I just ignore them. 

"Good morning can I talk to Mr. Samaniego?" I asked her Secretary. 

"Yes! Ma'am but do you have any appointment with him?" 

"No, but just tell him, that Ms. Yngrid Narasaval is here." I simply answered, after a few minutes she let me enter In Orion's office. He is wearing white long sleeves and black coat and slacks but I avoid myself to look down. 

"Good morning" I greet him. 

"Morning!" he plainly replied. 

"Can we talk for a few minutes?" I said.

"About what?" he asks. 

"About what happened between us!" I calmly said.

"Oh, I thought there is nothing to talk between us!" He sarcastically said. 

Darn! He is firing back, I really hate this man if it wasn't for my dad I'm not going to come here and talk to him. 

"Okay! Listen! I'm only here because I want to show you this!" I put the pictures on the top of his table. 

"What's this! Where did you get this!" he said angrily.

"I don't know who took these photos, but someone gives this to my dad!" I explained. 

"Does he knows about what happens between us?" He asked. 

"No, I haven't told him yet but I have a proposal to you," I told. 

"And what kind of proposal is that?" Orion's asked. 

"A marriage proposal, will you marry me?" I declared. 

"What? You want me to marry you?" he confusingly asked.

"Well, it's marriage for convenience to be exact! I don't want this issue to spread out in the press and besides, I can't disappoint my dad again." I answered. 

"Why? Me?" he said In a strange tone. 

"Simply, because you're the guy in the pictures! and my dad likes you too." I said. 

"I see, you only want to use me as a scapegoat," he said. 

"Well, you're right! But don't worry because I will give you my share in this company! your position will be upgraded and It's a win-win situation for the both of us." I clearly said. 

"Okay! if that's what you want. I can't decline that, Let's talk more outside and have lunch together." he offered. 

"I can't join you, because I'm going to meet Marcus today. By the way, I want you to come tomorrow night for dinner. And we need to explain everything to my dad, Oh! except for our marriage agreement." I told him. 

I leave his office after discussing my intention. I can't explain why I'm feeling so guilty about refusing to join him for lunch. I know he is trying his best to get close to me but I keep rejecting him. But once we live together I'm not sure if I can ignore him any longer.
