Finding a job

 CHAPTER TWO

NAISY

"Layla wake up." I said slightly shaking her.

 "What time is it?" She asked sleepily,still rubbing her tiny eyes which were slightly opened.

 "Its 08:30am." 

"Oh damn it,let me just take a bath then go out to look for another job." She said as she instantaneously got down from bed.

 "Wait." I said placing my hand on her left shoulder. " Just rest okay, I will be the one to go." I replied holding her hand.

   "Really?" Layla asked baffled.

"Yes,the leftovers are still there in the pot,eat when you wake up,and don't you dare go out okay?" I said as I pecked her on the cheek and went out. 

"I wonder where I'm really going to start from." I said as I began my journey to only where God knows.

KAILER

 I was all alone in the living room when I heard a light knock on the main door. 

" Come in." I said loud enough for that person to get the message.

 The girl I don't even know came in. Its really my first time seeing her.

"Hey." The girl greeted politely of which I smiled to. I already love this beautiful soul  right here.

 "Hi,please come have a sit." I replied as she made her way to sit on the couch. 

"Thank you" the girl said smiling.

"Seems like you are very kind hearted soul. How may I assist you?" I asked,diverting my  eyes to her direction.

 "Um I......"

 "No wait,let me get something for you to eat first." I interrupted her and went straight to the kitchen. 

"Lets eat." I uttered few minutes after placing the food on the table. 

"Um...I came here because......"

 "Oh by the way,may I know your name and where you come from?" I interrupted her again already digging in my food.

"I'm Naisy,I have a twin sister named Layla,we both live in a shack,and we don't really have parents." She narrated.

"Perfect" I said happily clapping my hands.

Girls have this tendency of clapping their hands,either when they are happy or surprised about something.

"What do you mean by that?" Naisy questioned. The word surprised was vividly revealed by her visage.

 "Well,we are looking for a maid,so I hope you and your sister don't mind working her." I said scooping a spoon full of jolly rice,shoving it in my mouth.

"Really?" 

"Yes,,you guys can start work tomorrow, and you will be staying here." I said.

 "Thank you so much" Naisy said.

 "I will be back." I immediately stood up and headed to my room,mainly to call my mom and inform her about the good news.

 When I got to my room,I took my phone from the bed,flipped to my Mom's number and dialed it.

📞 " hello mom."

📞 "yes baby." Mom said.

📞 " I actually found two girls who will work here."

 📞 "okay, hire them as long as you trust them."

 📞 "when do they start mom?"

 📞 "tomorrow morning. I'm tired of tasting your poison,my daughter you really know nothing about cooking."

📞 "thank you mom." I hung up; didn't want to comment on how i cook. I then went back to Naisy. 

"Yes come tommorow with your sister." I said joyfully.

 "Thank you." 

" here,take this." I stretched out the lunch box to her of which she gladly collected,then accompanied  her.

~IN PERFECT FAMILY~ 

JEFF

I'm Jeff,Asha is my father and Jenifer is my mother, we all have beautiful spots on our left cheeks and we are the only people who have those. We own four companies,hotels and malls.

 "How is it going with your girlfriend?" Dad asked. We were in a sitting room.

 "Which one?" I asked fastening my shoe lace.

"Kailer,unless you have the other one I don't know." Dad said with a shrug and I scoffed.

 "You know her?" 

"Yes but I will also love to see her parents." Dad replied. 

"You will know them soon,does mom know that I have a girlfriend?" 

"How could I not tell my wife about it,she has to know everything I know because she is my better half." Dad said and I chuckled silently.

 "I see, mum is so loved" 

"Do the same thing,just love your woman okay? treat her like a Queen,just be a good man." Dad adviced and I chuckled. 

"Thanks dad."

 "What are you guys talking about?" Mum snapped standing behind the couch.

 "Is that how you greet your husband?" Dad asked feigning anger.

" oh!"mum made a puppy face.

" Honey,you are forgiven even though you didn't even ask for it." Dad said approaching Mom. They were just an inch apart when I feigned a cough.

Dad gave me a don't pretend like you don't know what we are about to do look.

" Saving my innocent eyes from the scenery which is about to take place,I will just go to the office,by mom and dad." I said and headed out through the main door.

"How I wish and pray that I and my wife to be will live happy just like my parents do.I really have to find Miss right because my guts are telling me that Kailer is just not the one for me,but I will keep searching though." I said to myself as i got into my office then continued with my work.

" No,I have to call Kailer now so as to know if she is still fine." I said to myself.

I scrolled down to her number and dialled it. She answered in the first ring like she was still expecting my call.

📞 "hey babe,"  She answered.

📞 "hello darling,how are you doing?" I asked.

 📞 "I'm doing good and you?" 

📞"perfect,so when do you want to see me, or should i just come to your house?"

📞 "anytime is okay by me."

📞 "okay I will see you tomorrow then" I replied. 

📞 " see you tomorrow then,I love you."she said  then hung up as I swirled my office chair.

NAISY

 "Boo wait,who has been chasing you?seems like you are out of breath and you didn't even knock." Layla said very shocked after pushing our door open and just budged in without knocking.

 "People I don't even know insulted me on my way back here and chased me,but the worst part is that I didn't find a job" I said faking tears.

 "I'm just gonna kill myself right now." she said already  standing up and took a knife on the table.

"No,,,wait I got a job Layla, at Killer family." I explained when she was at the verge of cutting her throat. 

"Spare me those consoling words Naisy,I don't really need them at the moment." she said.

 "I'm not joking,and the girl even gave me this food,wait" I said as I rushed  outside to get the food i was hiding near the corner of our shack; then  showed them to Layla. This girl is so dramatic,she hardly believes in things unless you give her a valid reason to.

"Wow." Her faced was covered with a smile and immediately we shared a hug. 

"Okay, enough about the hugs,pack your rags because we are leaving first thing tomorrow morning,we are going to live there." I said after disengaging from the hug then hit her playfully and laughed at how happy she was.

 We then started packing our attire. 

~KILLER FAMILY~

 "Hey baby,I'm back" Mom shouted from the sitting room.

 "Welcome back mom" I replied from the kitchen; wiping my hands with a napkin for I was just through with washing the dishes.

"Come here,mummy wants to talk to you."Melisa said after plumping  on a couch .I headed straight t the sitting room and joined mom.

" did he give you the money today?"mom asked as I heaved in a deep breath lowering my head while playing with my fingers.
