CHAPTER THREE

KAILER

"No mom," I said still lowering my head. 

"Really?" Mum half yelled.

 "Mom we did not meet today,he said he had a lot on his plate but he will come tomorrow." I lied.

 "Remember you are dating Jeff for money so that my company will keep going,you seem to forget our plan." mom reminded me.

 "Yes mom I remember." I said still lowering my head.

"And don't you dare let anyone to take him away from you because we really need his money." She added.

"I will do my level best to keep and fight for him."  I said.

 "Okay,before I forget,the money you will get from Jeff is the one we will use to pay those girls while the rest  will keep the company running." Mom said already standing up. 

"But mom......" I tired to say diverting my eyes at her.

"I said it Kailer,no buts,you hired them so you will pay them with that money, the rest you give it to me." Mom interrupted facing me. 

"Maa I hav....."

 "Just save it,I'm off to bed."  She snapped and went to her room.

 "Mom is treating me so bad lately,what happened to the love she once had for me?I'm yet to witness more maybe." I said to myself as i dashed out to the kitchen.

LAYLA

"Naisy wake up." I said. 

"You are such a pain in an ass,I hate being woken up and  you  know that." I yawned after opening my eyes slowly.

 "Then I just think you already forgot that we are actually going to work today." I uttered getting really to do my hygiene process while Naisy just chuckled.

 ~KILLER FAMILY~ 

"do what I said you should do."mom said after joining me in the kitchen.

" yes mom,I will."I said. 

"I'm off to work and I might come back in the morning okay?" Mom replied and I just nod.

 "Greet the girls for me babe." Mom pecked my cheek and went to work. 

Jeez! Mom left just like,without eating breakfast. Well I do comprehend that I don't have good cooking skills,so I don't blame her.

My phone jolted me out of my reverie by  an incoming call from Jeff.

 📞 "hey love." 

📞 "get really,I will be there at 12:30pm,I'm taking you out." 

📞 "okay." I replied. 

📞 "Kailer I might spent the night,but we shall see." 

📞 "okay I will be waiting for you." I said and hung up.

"Stupid,I don't even love him but maybe I just like him." I said under my breath.

The door bell rang after disconnecting the call and I rushed to get it.

 "Oh Naisy,please come in girls." I blurt out and they both grinned.

 "Okay would you girls love to stay in one bedroom or each room?" I asked after slumping on a couch.

 "In one room."  Layla and Naisy said in unison. 

"So you are Layla right?" I asked facing her and she nodded.

 "Okay,let me take your bags and lead you girls to your room. "   I showed them their room and went to freshen up.

"Layla please go and check who is at the door." I blurt out after the door bell rang.Layla rushed to the door and opened it.

 "Please come in and have a sit." Layla said as he made his way to sit on a couch. 

"Thank you,so who are you?because its my first time seeing you here." Jeff asked.

 "I'm Layla,the new maid." Layla explained.

 "Okay." He whispered as he winked.

What a flirt.

 "Who is that Layla?" Kailer asked in a loud voice.

 "Its me hun."Jeff audibly responded.

"Okay babe I'm coming,Layla please come help me while Naisy prepares something for Jeff. " I instructed.

Layla went to Kailer's bedroom while Naisy went to the kitchen to cook.

 "Here they are sir." Naisy said after placing the food on a table. 

"So you are Naisy right?"he grinned at Naisy and she just nodded ,then went to her bedroom.

 " hey love." I greeted and kissed Jeff on the forehead and  then joined him on a couch.

 "Hey darling,I'm taking you out today,in fact we are going out now." He said and I smiled.

 "Shall we now?" He asked streching his hand towards me of which I gladly placed mine on it.

 "Of course." We went out leaving the food untouched on the table

 NAISY

 "Did you see that guy?" I grinned.

"Yea I did." Layla replied staring at me. 

"He is super hot." I blushed cupping my cheeks.  

 "Wait,Naisy don't tell me you have fallen for that guy." She frowned.

 "Yes Layla,is it wrong to fall in love? I do love him but I'm not lder yet sure." I said and lowered my head. 

"What?" She half yelled. "Naisy remember we are here to work, so behave, I can't afford to loose this job." She said batting her eyelashes.

"Likewise." I scoffed and rested my head on her shoulder.

 "Don't you dare fall in love with him,I can't afford to loose this awesome job." She said. 

I thought this conversation was over? I raised  my head from her shoulder then faced her.

"Look.....the fact that I love him doesn't mean I want to date him okay?" I blurt out and Layla just laughed. The door bell rang and Naisy rushed to open. Who could that be?

 "Please come in." Meliser entered and sat on the sofa. 

" so you are one of the girls whom my daughter hired right?"Meliser asked.

 "Yes madam." I replied as I slightly bowed.

"Don't worry my dear,just call me mom. So where is Kailer?"

"She went out." I said.

 "When she comes back tell her that I'm off to Cape Town but I don't know when I will be back okay?"

 "Yes madam....mom ." I said and she smiled, then went to her room while I headed towards our bedroom. The door bell rang again. 

"Naisy go and check the person at the door." Meliser blurt out while I rushed to the door again.

Ahh! Not again,just when I was about to enter our bedroom I have to go back there again? Arrgghh!" I cussed under my breath as I headed back to the main door.

 "Come in sir." I said to the old man standing in front of me.

"Thank you,I'm Anelle,,So where is your mother?" He said after sitting on a couch. 

"She is actually in her......."

 "Naisy where did you see my........" Layla interrupted me  emerging into the sitting room.Then her eyes met with Anelle's eyes. They stared at each as if they have met before,and that baffled me.  Layla's face was covered with shock as she hurriedly went into their room,slumped on bed and wept. I was even more confused and stood transfixed to my position. 

Mrs Meliser pulled me put of my wildest fantasy by her presence.

"Oh babe I'm here, we can now go." Meliser said after seeing Anelle,Anelle took Mrs Meliser's luggage then she pecked my cheek and went out. I then rushed to our room.

 "Why are you crying boo?" I asked her as I joined her on bed.

"Its Anelle." She replied with a very low and weaker voice. 

"The old man right?" I asked. 

"Yes" 

"Boo how did you his name?" I asked drowning in my own confusion.

"That is the one and only man who took my pride away." She whined.

 "And the man might be Mrs Meliser's husband because she called him babe." I said a bit confused. 

 "I'm very sure that he is the one who took my......" 

"Okay I understand boo,please try to cheer up and forget about him okay?" I interrupted her while wiping away her tears.

 "I will try." She sobbed. 

"Wait....." I uttered as I rushed to our wardrobe and pulled out a book,it was a comedy book. I then began reading it to Layla who laughed her lungs out. Thanks to the book, it really works like magic to bring back life as well as to cheer Layla up whenever she is down.

 "Hey girls I'm home." Kailer blurt out.

 "Welcome back,come join us in our room please." Layla replied while Kailer rushed to our room happily. 

"So what are you girls doing?" Kailer asked after joining us on bed. 

"Just reading a comedy book,by the way your mother said she is going to Cape Town but she is not sure of when she will come back." I said staring at Kailer. 

"Well I guess its freedom time,let's just enjoy it while she is out because my mother is really a pain in an ass." Kailer replied while Layla just giggled.

"So let's play truth or dare game please." Kailer said making a puppy face while i and Layla laughed to bits.

 "What, do I have something on my face?" Kailer asked pretending to be offended while we laughed again. 

"Not really but your puppy face is so damn funny." Layla replied smiling. So we started our game. 

~In Cape Town~

 Mr Anelle and Mrs Meliser were at the beach. 

"Its so nice being here."  Mr Anelle said wrapping his hands around  Mrs Meliser's waist from the back.

 "Yes babe." 

"I just wish I could turn back the hints of time and marry you." He whispered in Mrs Meliser's ear.

 "How is Dorothy doing?" Mr Meliser asked. 

"Don't even talk about her." He replied really annoyed. 

"Why?" 

"She doesn't grand me the happiness i get from you ,I really regret marrying her." He smirked.

 "Then break up with her,I mean you can  just divorce her ."  Mrs Meliser pleaded.

"Hmm." He hummed.

 "I will help you with everything concerning the divorce documents okay?" She said directing her glance to him.

 "Okay,we will sort that one  later,so where is your husband?" That question served as a gunshot to Mrs Meliser.

" he....um...I don't........ " she stammered not knowing what to say since she wasn't really expecting that kind of a question from Mr Anelle.
