CHAPTER SEVEN

 ~IN PERFECT FAMILY ~ 

JEFF

It was late at around 09:00pm,I and my father have just done discussing about the company.

 "How is it going with your miss perfect?" Dad asked. 

"Who?" I enquired not sparing him a single look.

"Naisy of course,unless you were just kidding me about her." Dad teased and I huffed.

 "Oh! we are still good but I didn't tell her about my feelings yet." I replied. 

"Oh!" Dad exclaimed.

"Dinner is ready." Mom announced form the kitchen.

Mom is such a savoir,I know dad was going to bombard  me with countless questions about Naisy. I actually told dad about her while ago. I even informed him about Naisy black spot on her left cheek,his response was that there is a high possibly that the spot she has is a forged one; because we are the only ones in this country with a black spot on our left cheeks.

NAISY

 I was sitting on bed waiting for Romeo to return from the bathroom.

 "Aren't you asleep yet?" Romeo asked emerging  from the bathroom.

 "Not yet,I was actually waiting for you." 

"Okay." He took of the towel hanging around his waist and put on his pyjamas.  This guy is really crazy,he left the pyjamas he took along when heading to the bathroom and he is now pulling the other one from his wardrobe.

"So tell me why you were waiting for me because I'm not even your boyfriend." He teased pulling me back to reality.

 "Ouch,that hurts." I faked a smile trying to conceal the pain I felt when he said that. Suddenly I swallowed at nothing in particular.

"So,you wanted to tell me something when you dropped me off earlier on but Kailer interrupted you,so do you mind telling me now?" I continued. 

"No let's leave that behind." He said with a faux shyness.

 "No you are telling me now." I said eagerly. 

"I was just going to tell you that you...you look just like monkey." He teased. 

"You are such a jerk." I squealed and pinched him on his left cheek and ran out into the sitting room. He ran after me because I could hear his loud steps on the floor. When we both got into the sitting room he threw a pillow at me and I dodged it; that led to a pillow fight. 

 KAILER

I slowly opened my eyes and checked the time. Damn it! its already 08:00am and Layla is not yet awake. I think I should just surprise her today by preparing breakfast because they always say I suck at cooking. I sneaked out of the bed and tip toed to the bathroom,did my hygiene process and immediately walked out after getting dressed. Then I started preparing the breakfast: pancakes,berry sauce and coffee.

 NAISY

 "I opened my eyes and saw the rays of the sun being reflected into my eyes. I yawned and grabbed my phone to check the time; Kailer's other phone to be precise.

 " Oh my,its already 08:30am." 

I turned to the other side of the bed; realization hit me, Romeo was no longer besides me. I was unclad,what really happened yesterday? I don't understand because I remember we played pillow fight and afterwards carried me to the bedroom, from there I don't know what happened. I got out of bed and wore his blue shirt and  sluggishly headed to the bathroom. 

" Oh my! My waist hurt like hell, I couldn't walk properly hence I found myself limping to the bathroom. The pain pierced though my private part; it was so unbearable such that I had an illusion that dying was much better than this pain. I had a hot bath and afterwards put on his shirt again.

 " oh my,the scent of his perfume drives me crazy,I think I love this guy but what if he doesn't feel the same way?"I thought.

 I then limped out of the bathroom room so as to clean the bed. "Oh my God,so this this what happened yesterday?" I exclaimed after seeing a red spot on the white sheet. This and the pain that I'm currently in made sense,but luckily the pain subsided after that hot bath.

 "Hey,leave that to me, I will clean it." His voice made me flinch.I just stared at the red spot without even sparing him a look. 

He came behind me and gently wrapped his hands around my waist,and I felt goosebumps. 

"Naisy,I need to tell you something,do you allow me to?" He asked and I immediately felt like my heart has just dropped into my stomach. 

"I....I ......you can..... continue" I stammered. He turned me around and our eyes met. 

"Naisy,,,,I love...." He got interrupted by the vibration made by his phone.

 "I'm sorry I have to take this." He said as he gently removed his hands from my waist. 

📞 "hey dude." 

📞 "what up man?" Jeff said. 

📞 "nothing " 

📞"how about you pay me a visit today at my office before we go to the party tonight?"Jeff remarked. 

📞 "cool , I will drop by maybe after three hours." He promised hastily. 

📞 " that's my man,see you later."he blurt out. 

📞 "okay,bye."  He hung up and signed. He then sat besides me on bed and held my hands facing each other. 

"Naisy I love you." He blurt out. 

"What?" I questioned surprised.

 "I really do love you,please love me back,and I'm really sorry for making out with you last night,I never thought you were still a virgin,I hope I didn't hurt you that much.I love you a lot,open your heart and let me in,I promise I wound hurt you." He explained and I felt my heart thudding. I was baffled,neither did I believe my what my ears just heard.

"Please answer me Naisy." He said eagerly,kneeling in front of me. I instantaneously gave him a tight hug for about 30 seconds,I could feel his heart beating very fast. We then disengaged from the hug.

 "I love you too Romeo." I pouted and he beamed. He pulled me up,grabbed my waist slowly,he started kissing me and I kissed him back.He gently trailed his fingers down to the end of the shirt I was wearing and slides his hand in it then started caressing my thighs. That sent shivers down my spine as a light mourn escaped form my mouth while i trailed my other hand around both his head and neck. 

"I have prepared breakfast for you." He whispered in my ear after breaking from the kiss and held my hand as we walk out to the kitchen.

LAYLA

I yawned and opened my eyes slowly,I looked around the room and realised that I'm in a different room. 

"Jeez,,,,, I actually forgot that I slept in Kailer's room yesterday,but where is she now?" I looked at the time and saw it was already 09:30am. 

"Oh my,,,,I seem too comfortable that I even forgot I'm at work,,what is Kailer gonna to say? Damn it! I'm screwed.

" I quickly fixed the bed and rushed to the bathroom. I put on Kailer's red legging with purple shirt after bathing,then afterwards dashed to the kitchen.

 "So the very same lady who said I was bewitched with sleep is awake at this time huh?" She blurt out after seeing me. "Ummm,,,look Kailer I'm sorry. I......"

 "Arggggg! save it,we are friends and I don't see you girls as maids but my best friends,so chill and feel comfortable." She said boldly after setting the table. 

"Thanks Kailer."I replied and heaved a sign of relief.

 " so come have a sit,I have prepared breakfast for us."she said and I dashed to the table.

 "Hmm." I hummed. 

"What boo?" She enquired eagerly. 

"You tried,you are not that bad after all." I remarked and she laughed. 

"I knew you were going to say that,I learned few things from Naisy,I must confess she is the best cooker ever,I'm now missing her food so bad." She replied. 

"I miss her also."

 "But she will be here soon,its like it has been two weeks without seeing her,I'm so addicted to you guys." She cooed.

 "And hey,she has to be here soon so as to gist us about her stay at Romeo's apartment." I squealed then shoved a spoon of pancakes in my mouth. 

"Of course,and I'm so......" The door bell interrupted her.

 "Who could it be?I will go and check." I scrambled to my feet and hurried to the main door. 

EVE

I was from a friend's place;Arifa when I found mom busy cooking in a kitchen.

" Good evening mom." I greeted and kissed her forehead.

" evening my daughter,I have just done cooking,so I will just go and freshen  up while you set the table." Mom said already wiping her hands with a napkin.

" okay mom." I placed my hand bag on a counter and began setting the table while mom headed to her room.

After I was done with setting the table I sat down ready to devour the meal in front of me. I never realized how famished  I was until breathing in the scent of this tantalising meal in front me.

I was at the verge of lifting the spoon full of  mac and cheese to my mouth when a hand swat my hand, I frowned pretending to be angry.

" Mom,why did you do that?" I whined looking at her.

" are you in your right senses Eve? I said set the table,I didn't mention the part of you eating." Mom snapped sitting opposite me.

"But mom I'm hungry." I said pouting  like a baby.

" arrggghh! Suit yourself then." Mom said as I started digging in my meal.

" Mom,where did dad go." I asked breaking the silence.

" He went on a business trip."

"  Is Mrs Meliser his colleague? " I asked again staring at mom who focused on her food.

" not at all,why did out ask such a question?"

" Mom I saw dad at Mrs Meliser's house." I said while mom looked at me in a swift.

" What did you just say?" She questioned staring at me in awe.

" What you heard mom is true,I saw him there." I said with a shrug then headed to my room.

I'm Eve aged 21, I still have both parents being; my mom, Mrs Dorothy and my dad, Mr Anelle.
