CHAPTER EIGHT

LAYLA

 I then opened the door. 

"Naisy.....oh my!" I gasped and gave her a tight hug.

 "So you are back sister." Kailer went over to give her a hug also. "We missed you so bad." We said in union and she grinned. 

"I missed you also girls." Naisy replied. 

"So tell us about your stay with Romeo." I blurt out after we all slumped on a couch.

 "Aah! it was great,I actually enjoyed. I guess that's all for now." Naisy remarked.

 "You are lying Naisy,that's not all." I snapped at her.

 "And your blushing face says it all that there is so much more to gist us about." Layla stated. Naisy took something from her pocket and handed it to us. 

"Oh my,this phone costs more than half a million." Layla gasped and snatched it from Naisy's hand and i bulged my eyes at Naisy. "Wow,I'm so happy for you." Kailer shouted happily and gave her a tight hug.

"Girls I'm going to take a bath I will be back." I stated after breaking from the hug and set off. 

JEFF

 "Come in." I replied after hearing the knock at my office door. "Hey dude." Romeo greeted and I smiled broadly. 

"Have a sit,so how have you been?" I asked. 

"Great man,I have been receiving messages from Melisser saying she wants us to get back together." He replied.

 "That bitch,she is only after your money,I can't believe she still has the guts to send you messages after all she did to you." I cried out. 

"Let's leave that behind,so let's talk about tonight,are you going to pick Kailer?" He enquired. 

"No,we will meet at the party,I lend her the car to go there with. so tell me,who is gonna hang out with you because I will be with Kailer?dude you need a girl,maybe Layla or one of my receptionists."I advised and he arched his eye brows at me. 

" talking about that,guess what?"he smiled broadly at me.

 "What man?" I asked eagerly. 

"I actually got a girlfriend,dude I so love the girl and soon I will be marrying her." He explained happily.

 "So tell me about this girl,where did you guys meet and when did you propose to her? Did she accept your proposal of being your girlfriend?"

" stop bombarding me with lots of questions. Which one should I answer first?" He asked me.

" tell me about her name then." I replied eagerly.

 "Man her name is Naisy,the one who works at Kailer's home,I so love the girl,and she loves me also." Romeo cooed and I  was baffled.

 My heart started boiling with rage,I felt like smacking his face at that juncture. My smile faced away. I felt like ripping off his head and feed it to the dogs.

 "Naisy?" I murmured slowly so as to be sure that we were still on the same page.

" Yes dude, the one you saw me with in a dressing room kissing." He blurt out. 

"Thats my crush man you can't just date her,and I was even planing to break up with Kailer."I cried out.

 "Its already too late for that. She is now mine; and mine alone.First come first served." I snapped at him and he smirked. "Just shut the hell up you fool."  I yelled and Romeo thought the whole room was gonna tremble.

 "Wait,remember our motto; no secrets between us but you just broke that by not telling me the first time we met that you love her." Romeo said and i scoffed really annoyed. 

"Just get the hell out of my office." I yelled as I opened the door for him. Romeo cussed and pushed pass me .

 "  This idiot,how cold he take her away from me? If I can't have her then no one else will. " 

 ROMEO

I went straight to my apartment,headed to my room and threw my phone on bed. I then walked to my bathroom,took a warm bath then afterwards put on my blue pyjamas.

 "How could Jeff blame me for approaching Naisy first?and why didn't he tell me that he loves her? I don't really give a damn if our friendship is at stake or what,what matters now is that I'm in love with the woman I love and I'm so happy that she loves me also." I thought. I then walked to my room and slumped on bed. Then I slept off unintentionally. 

NAISY

 "Okay,so we are done,I think we should go,its already time for the party." Kailer said. 

"Naisy what are you doing,we have to go now." Layla shouted. "Umm....I think you girls can go without me." I replied after joining them in the sitting room. 

"Okay,so Romeo is gonna take you right?" Layla asked. 

"Yes."

 "Its okay,you will find us at the party." Kailer replied and we all shared a hug,afterwards waved goodbye and they walked out.

 "Romeo is now 30 minutes late,and he hasn't even called,what is going on?I'm beginning to be impatient now" I murmured still sitting on couch.

 I called him more than 15 times but he is not picking his phone.Tears started falling down my cheeks and I wept as I seated impatiently on bed. 

"Naisy you are too strong don't cry,just wipe your tears and go to the party and enjoy without him." My mind advised and I did exactly that.

 ~AT THE PARTY ~ 

 "Hey babe." Kailer greeted after seeing Jeff. 

"Hello darling,you are finally here,come on let's dance." Jeff cooed and gently grabbed Kailer's waist as we began dancing.

 NAISY

 I finally arrived at the party and I was so surprised that most people stared at me which made me feel a little bit uncomfortable. I just took wine from the tray placed in the table and headed to sit alone at the back door and tucked my earphones into my ears.

JEFF

 "Bbe I have to answer this call,its my mum." she said after feeling the vibration of the phone in pocket of the jacket she was putting on. 

"It's okay love,go ahead." I replied. 

Kailer went at the corner to answer the call while I went at the back door for some fresh air. I sat next to girl,and just buried my head in my hands thinking about what happened earlier with Romeo.

 "Is it really true that Romeo and Naisy are dating or he was just trying to pull my leg?but he was so damn serious when we were having that bad chat. .....wait,I didn't even greet this girl I'm sitting next to,maybe I should." I thought.

 "Hey." I greeted and she turned and looked at me. 

"Jeff." She said.

 "Oh Naisy,so its you,forgive my manners for not greeting you when I got here." I apologized.

 "Its okay." She said. 

"So why are you sitting here alone?" I enquired.

 "To get some fresh air." Naisy replied trying so hard to cover the pain she was feeling with a fake smile. 

"Okay,so I'm also here because of the same reason." I said and she just nodded without even looking at me. 

ROMEO

I yawned and opened my eyes slowly reaching for my phone. "What?" I exclaimed after seeing more than 15 missed calls from Naisy. I felt like killing myself at that moment.

"And the time. God! I'm late,so damn late for the party,I'm so doomed,why did this happen?God help me not to lose her." I scrambled on my feet and dashed to the bathroom,took a quick bath and got dressed.I then rushed out,started the engine and drove to Kailer's apartment, but I found none of them. 

"Maybe she went to the party without me." I then drove to the party,hailed outside at the packing lot and alighted from the car.I then shut the door and dashed inside. 

 NAISY

"Where is Romeo?" Jeff broke the awkward silence.

 "I don't know,why are you asking?"I asked a bit annoyed.

 " no....never mind."he replied.

Romeo got in.He was as if he had been chased as all and sundry were looking at him,some murmuring some words ,only God knows what they were saying.He looked everywhere for Naisy until he decided to check the back door.

 "No,tell me why you asked." I persuaded.

 "You see,you have to be very careful around Romeo,he is not what you think he is,he is a very bad person,he is so dangeous and........" 

"So this is it,what are you feeding her with?" Romeo interrupted Jeff who just smirked,got up and walked out of our sight. 

 "Babe I'm sorry,please forgive me,please ......I didn't mean to hurt you." He pleaded after kneeling down in front of me,holding both my hands.

 "Please,I really mean it,I know it might be difficult for you to believe me but I really do love you and a lot Naisy,what matters now is that I love you,please." He pleaded and his cheeks were already wet because of his tears. I quickly remembered the saying which says men never cry,they hate crying,so if a man weeps over you,it simply means they love you wholeheartedly,and his love for you will never get depleted no matter what. I just beamed at him,stood up and pulled him up also,still holding hands. 

"Everyone makes mistakes,babe I have got no right to judge you because I don't really know what you have been through, yes I might have heard the stories maybe but I didn't really feel what you felt in your heart,I really adore you Romeo." I explained looking straight  into his eyes while tears proceeded to fall down his cheeks yet he tried so much to cover them with a smile. 

"My love for you will never die,I don't really care how much I'm gonna be hurt during this love journey of ours,and a lot of bad things are gonna transpire but I'm already prepared .I will always love you Romeo, just stay strong for both of us." I continued.

 "Thank you so much babe,I'm really speechless,your words really touched me." He said.

 "I can see you are,its written all over your face." I teased and he huffed loudly. 

"But wait,Naisy,what did you mean when you said you might have heard the stories about what happened,and why did you say the journey of our love life its not gonna be easy; Also that a lot of bad things are gonna transpire?" He questioned eagerly.

 "Just know that I love you and we will get through  all this and please promise me that you will never stop loving me." I pleaded. 

" I promise I will never love any girl apart from you,and God is our witness to all babe,but Naisy who are you? I feel like there is really more to this name and you are just not the same with other girls,you are so unique." 

my heart started beating very fast after hearing him asking about who I really am. 

"Let's leave that,now let's just enjoy the party,we will gist about those a bit later." I smiled and pulled him into a tight hug,his heart was beating so fast like it wanted to  pop out. 

"He shouldn't have asked me who I am." I  said at the back of my head.

 Jeff was secretly listening to their conversation and he heard all they talked about.
