For the next 2 months Khalil and I attended several doctor appointments and worked to get everything in order for the baby's arrival. Khalil's Mom and Lilac were a great help in this process as for how they found out well they overhead Khalil and I trying to figure out how we should tell them when they came for a surprise visit. I was expecting Khalil's Mom to be furious but it was the exact opposite as she jumped for joy and Lilac relentlessly rubbed my stomach. I really don't know what I would have done without her, she was the biggest help as she and Lilac accompanied us to shop, appointments, and just to receive advice from physicians on how to keep fit during my pregnancy. I have to say that Khalil was probably taking this whole pregnancy situation more serious than me with him buying heaps of baby formula even though I was still 7 months away from giving birth, signing up for father to be classes, and even taking some short doctoring courses all of which I found adorable. Of course as he did all this Khalil was still very persistent on the idea of us getting back together until I eventually gave in and I can now say that Khalil and I are now happily dating once again. Seeing as the first few months of pregnancy are the most important I tried to keep my stress levels at a minimum which was easy when I was around Khalil and his family but a little more difficult when I had to go back "home." I was still technically married to Jacob and he was just as persistent as Khalil but instead of cute I found this extremely irritating so I made sure to come up with any excuse imaginable to avoid him one being that I was on my period which is ironic. I was only two months along so my belly hadn't grown much at all but the fact that it soon would is what worried me because of course I couldn't tell anyone about my pregnancy since it was Khalil's baby but hiding a bay bump would be extremely difficult since even a large jacket would still pull up as my belly grew. Despite my concerns I decided to take care of things one at a time the first being my marriage to Jacob and I knew just how to deal with it.

Khalil and I had began our online classes awhile ago so during those times I would be in his house since he insisted on being together as much as possible which I didn't mind. "Ugh online classes can be such a chore I miss the campus" I snickered "Well you're the one who insisted on going online with me even though I told you a hundred times to stay on campus. So you shouldn't be complaining." Khalil hugged me from the back having me to be engulfed by his warmth as I rested myself on his chest "Yeah yeah I just wanted to be around my two babies. That isn't so bad now is it?" He gave me a kiss before pulling me into his lap to watch some TV. "Babeeee I still have work to do not only for school but also work" I tried to weasel my way out of his grip but it was no use once I was in his grasps there was no getting out "That all can wait you've been working all day its not healthy for you or the baby if you overwhelmed yourself too much" I sighed before making myself comfortable. We watched a movie with Khalil's Mom and Lilac facing timing us halfway through to check on me, the two of them were really sweethearts. At around 9pm I decided that it was time to go so I collected my papers into my bag and made my way to the door "Can I pleeeease walk you home? I just want to make sure that you get home safe." I gave him a hug before looking up to give him a reassuring smile I'll be fine and you have a lot of work to get done so you should focus on that. I'm pregnant not disabled." He gave me a kiss before I went on my way gripping my bag tightly.

When I got home I saw that Jacob was completing some paperwork in the living room so I took a deep breath and went to sit across the table from him. "Hope...! Your home early." I nodded before getting a few papers out of my bag "Yeah since I'm technically still new to my company I have to make sure that all my information and background match up that way not to put my position at stake. That includes our marriage so I just need you to sign a few papers to confirm that you agreed to our marriage." As I spoke Jacob's face lit up a little I guess it could be because since our wedding day I haven't referred to our engagement as anything more than a business deal so the fact that I seem to be accepting the fact that I'm now his wife must have made him happy. "Y- yeah Of course! of course! Lets get these papers signed wouldn't want your company to be at risk now would we." As he signed the papers I held my breath hoping and praying that he didn't take the initiative to read what the documents said and to my luck he didn't. "All done, now there will be no doubt that out marriage was consensual." I forced a smile as I took the documents from his hand and made my way to my room. Once I made sure that the door was locked I jumped onto my bed to make sure that Jacob had signed in all the necessary places and to my relief he did. Without noticing my mouth had curved into a soft smile I set the documents aside onto my nightstand and set up my alarm to wake up first thing in the morning and make my way to court. The reason for this is because my stake in the company was already finalized a long time ago and what Jacob had just signed were in fact divorce papers.

I knew that Jacob would never willingly agree to a divorce so the only way around this was to trick him into signing the papers. Usually both parties had to be present in court in order for a divorce to be finalized but I organized everything so only one of us had to be there by making it seem as though Jacob refused to show up to court but agreed to all the terms. These terms included that with this divorce each parties respective assets would be returned to them but I would receive 35% of any and all future profits of Jacob's company. This was because in all the preparations Jacob and I were given the choice to give half ownership of our companies to the other and I of course refused to do so but in Jacob's case he believed that I would soon come around and put half of all his assets under my name. I told him otherwise since I didn't want anything to do with his company or family but he went ahead and did it anyway. With this divorce even though I am relinquishing ownership I still have claims to the profits and some assets of the company. So with this divorce I would be gaining my freedom, my company, and part of Jacob's assets as well having this divorce to benefit me in every way. However, the next day I was woken up by a phone call from one of my investors, it turns out my trip to court would have to wait since there was an issue with my economic standing in Florida. I quickly hid the divorce papers away and got ready to leave with my driver already waiting outside.

After a fifteen minute drive I arrive at the business center of the company and went on my way to the main conference room. "Good Morning, everyone thank you all for being here so early in the day." I took my seat at the end of the table near the glass windows that were shut from view by the curtains "Thank you for being here ma'am we would have waited for you to tern up on your own but in this case time is of the essence." I nodded and signaled for my assistant to explain what exactly was going on with our trust hold in Florida. Turns out those in charge of the center are having trouble with luring in the public to take interest in our products and so after an hour of discussion both with my partners and those in charge of the Florida center it was decided that someone would need to go and take care of the situation. Mr. Florence who takes charge in the west wing stood and cleared his throat "Okay, now that it has been decided that someone would need to go and take care of this situation the next choice that needs to be made is who will go." There were slight murmurs around the room before I raised my hand in the air for silence "This will be an important decision so we need to get an idea of how long a trip like this will take so does anyone have an estimate of how long it will take." After some time my assistant raised her hand "Well since our hold in Florida is primarily a non-profit based organization regaining that publics interest and renovating the entire area will take approximately 2 years..." The room fell quiet for a few moments as everyone processed what was just said.

Unlike everyone else who I knew was thinking about how absurd it was for a person to have to spend 2 years away just to help lift up our Florida assets I was thinking about how this was an opportunity for me to cross out another one of my worries "I'll go." Everyone turned to me with surprised looks "I know that all of you will be most useful where you are and as the owner I should be overseeing all areas of the company in case of issue. So its only logical for me to go to Florida and get everything in order its not as if I have anything holding me back." Everyone nodded in agreement with me since all them knew that my marriage was not optional and while they don't show it all my partners care for me greatly and are willing to do anything in favor of my interests and that's how it was decided that I would depart for Florida next week to attend to things there. After that was decided a few more reports were shared on the condition of the rest of the companies assets bringing our meeting to an end. As soon as I turned my phone on I saw that Khalil had called me not a few times just once since he knew that if I didn't pick up the first time I was busy with work. He was so considerate and I wasted no time in calling him back as I waved for a taxi since I didn't want my personal driver to overhear my conversation. ("Hey Love~! I was just calling to check up on you and make sure that you aren't overwhelming yourself like usual without me there.") I chuckled because he wasn't wrong "Yeah I'm fine I just had a meeting with my investors because there was a problem with one of our organizations." (Oh is everything alright? What decision did you guys come up with?"). "Well since I am the CEO its only natural that I go to take care of things so I have to travel to Florida for a while to get things sorted out."

("Uh...how long are you gonna be gone for? You know traveling isn't really recommended for a pregnant woman and I uh don't know how I feel about being apart from you during such a time you know. I don't want to interfere with your work but you know I feel like we could maybe talk about how your going to travel.") I smiled and looked through the window "I was actually gonna ask you to come with me because according to estimates this trip could take two years and I wouldn't want you to miss the baby's birth but I understand if you-" ("I am so going! That's our baby's first birthday right there and while I have gotten things sorted out here I have been to Florida before so it won't be hard for me to get everything ready again. There's no way you're leaving me for 2 years Florida is gonna get all three of us! Damn I should get packing are your coming to my place right now because I could have things ready is 10 minutes tops.") I almost burst out laughing "Well while I am glad you are looking forward to this the trip isn't until next week so you don't need to rush. I'll head over to your place tomorrow to discuss everything alright?" ("Sounds good to me bye baby love you!") "I love you too see you tomorrow." I let out a relieved sigh as I laid back in the seat now I wouldn't have to worry about hiding my belly bump since I'd be in Florida and even if I told everyone about it now they couldn't join me since things are to chaotic on their fronts so I'll be able to be on my way without any interference. As an extra precaution I'll make sure that none of them know where I'm going especially Jacob since I can't risk them coming to Florida.

Who would've thought that a business trip would help solve one of my problems and with the divorce papers in my room I'll be able to divorce Jacob all while I'm in Florida taking care of things with Khalil. This took a huge weight off my shoulders as I'm finally taking control of my life once again and will be able to pursue the relationship of my choice. I rubbed my stomach as I felt great relief and made my way home to get started packing since there was a lot to do before Khalil and I's Florida trip and I couldn't wait to get started and I didn't even have to face Jacob since he was out with work making my day move that much more smoothly.

I said it once and I'll say it again with Khalil time really flew by, it seems like yesterday the we were attending our first few doctors appointments and getting our online classes set up. Now we have completed our online journey with me now being a week from 9 months pregnant it almost seems unreal to see that my stomach had grown to such an enormous size. Khalil wanted to be surprised of the baby's gender but I don't like surprises that much so I was in charge of planning the gender reveal. I'm not gonna spoil the surprise now but let's just say that I'll have the chance to use one of my favorite baby name choices. During our time in Florida Khalil and I made quite a few friends making keeping the baby's gender a secret a really difficult task especially since my girls really pressed me to get the gender out of me but all they got was teased as I spoke but caught myself before revealing the gender. For the baby reveal party I designed everything to be an outdoor barbeque type

The week went by in a blur of online school, paperwork discussing the matters of my trip, and packing. Jacob wasn't home the day of my departure because of an emergency that came up last minute so to make sure that he was aware of what I was up to I left him a little note. 'Work emergency have to travel out of state will be back when everything is sorted out' yeah I made sure not to give any specifics on the trip. As I took a taxi to Khalil's place I took the liberty of texting Mr. & Mrs. Hao along with Mr. Hansson about my trip that way they can't say that I was sneaking around again like with my trip to Miami. As the taxi pulled up at Khalil's house I saw him standing on the sidewalk surrounded by hundreds no maybe thousands of bags and I couldn't help laughing as the taxi drivers jaw fell open. "Please tell me that isn't your boyfriend" I continued to laugh as I gave the taxi driver an apologetic look "I'm so sorry!" After parking the driver went out to help Khalil put hi

For the next few weeks Jacob and I attended several meetings with our parents in order to sort out the legal matters concerning our marriage. The only remotely acceptable part of the agreement is that despite this union I am still the sole beneficiary of Mr. Hansson's company so at least I would have something of my own in this whole merge. During these days Jacob attempted to get close to me by taking me on dates, proposing movie nights, and a bunch of other romantic activities but I dodged it all and made it clear more than a million of times that this was purely business and I held no romantic feelings towards him. He even stooped as low as to try and get our parents to promote such behavior but whenever this would happen I would just put myself into a daze until they were done and ready to proceed with more important matters. Somewhere near the end of the legal procedures I began to experience morning sickness but seeing as I was under pressing amounts of stress I just dismi

  • Living a Double Life   Sooner than later

As I neared the apartment I began to be overwhelmed with dread and this gut retching feeling that I was in for a huge problem. Turns out I was right and probably shouldn't have even opened the door cause the moment I did I was met by the dissatisfied looks on not only Jacob's face but also those of both our parents. My Father was the first to speak as he gave me a cold glare that made chills run down my spine "Well if it isn't my dear daughter it seems you have been making some irresponsible choices during the time we've been apart" as he said this Jacob's Father Daverick Hao cleared his throat making me certain that he would speak next. "Yes, and it would seem my son may also be at fault for your recent actions as he has informed us of your past plans" My eyes widened as I shot Logan a cold stare before turning back to face his Father "So? You know that we didn't want to get married if anything that should make you want to cancel-" but before I could finish Jacob's Mom cut in "

After walking for a few minutes we finally reached the hotel's entrance where we all stood in amazement. The building was almost 50 stories high, engravings that covered the series of pillars, and an illuminated sign that read 'Le Croissant-Lune'. Khalil's Mom went ahead to check us in and get the keys to our rooms with Khalil following closely behind since he knew that she would need help leaving me and Lilac in the lobby. "Hope, what does that sign mean? Is it a desert?" I chuckled as I bent down to pat her head "No, its French and it mean 'The Crescent Moon' which could very well be a desert. I mean I would definitely eat it." Lilac started to burst out laughing and soon enough we ended up strolled around the lobby since she got bored of staying in one place until Khalil and his Mom got back with the keys.Eventually Khalil and his Mom came back and the four of us separated to get settled in our rooms with Lilac staying with her mom and Khalil wi
