Love Conquered

My name is Virat and I am a professional actor. I saw her when I went to sign contract with GPC Productions. 

She was small and petite with a very innocent look on her face but I could easily see that prankster glint in her eyes. 

“This girl is going to give lot of trouble to everyone.” I told my best friend Pratham. 

“ She looks so innocent. You are misjudging. By the way, she is going to star opposite you in your first series with GPC and her name is Pihu.”

“I am never wrong. You wait and watch your back when she is around.” I told Pratham with a wink.

A week has passed since casting day and today is our first workshop.

“oh my god, you are so handsome. Hi, I am Pihu. I am going to be your heroine and I like you very much.” said Pihu and winked. 

I was so startled by her statement that saying Hi took some effort.

I know I am good looking but I was yet to meet the girl who would say it on my face at first meeting. I instantly knew I was going to be in big trouble. 

We were asked to enact famous scene from Shahrukh Madhuri starer film and she kissed me for real. This is second time in just few hours that she has managed to tilt my perfectly in control life. 

I like to keep things in control and always follow rules. Biggest rule in my book is to never date a co-worker. It complicates things unnecessarily and we are not swans who are going to mate for life. There are plenty of birds in the universe. 

“Wow, you lucky bastard. It seems that Pihu has already fallen for you. Real kiss at first workshop itself. Not bad champ.” Teased Pratham.

“You know my rule Pratham. No affairs with co-workers. It complicates things and I don’t want to get into any kind of complicated situation at this point of my career. I have to go places and silly little girls do not feature in my dream future.”

“Ok ok. I was just joking and isn’t it natural, you both kissed for real in the workshop. Everyone is talking.” Said Pratham

“What was I supposed to do when she kissed me for real? Pushing her away would have just given more fuel to gossips. I told you that girl is trouble.”

“Ok, don’t get too serious. Let’s go eat something and then head home.” Said Pratham

“Cool, let’s go”.
