Coincidence

•••••Xavier's POV •••••

 I was smiling like an idiot after seeing her again. She's really that supermarket girl (laughing). 

I couldn't get her out of my head the whole day now. I can't believe that I'm again watching her in front of me. 

 She looks so small and lost, she's again with her mom, I guess. She looks like a lost puppy while following her mom with lots of bags in her hand. (Laughs looking at her).

 I really want to talk to her. But how should I approach her so it won't seem awkward ( think Xavier think) 

(Thinking deeply) 

The idea, I think I should bump into her and act like it was an accident.

 But what if she recognizes me?

 Will she think of me as a stalker?

 But it really was a coincidence that I saw her here. (Reasoning himself in his mind while thinking) 

Aishhhhh... (Irritatingly)

What should I do to be able to talk to her? I really want to know her name at least because I can't just always call her supermarket girl.

(Chuckles and mentally Laughs at the name) 

Well, it's not that bad (smiling) actually I like this name. 

Ugh focus Xavier, it's not the right time to think about this. Uhhh, where did she go?

(Standing up from his chair and looking around the area where he last saw her) 

( Leaves the cafe and starts to look for her)

 Where are you, supermarket girl? ( running to the spot where he last saw her and looking around for her) 

Is she gone? (thinking sadly)

 "Ring Ring" 

Xavier: Hello(without looking at the screen)

On the phone: Where are you, man? You said that you're already there, we have been waiting for you for the last 5 mins. Don't tell me that you're on your way, because guys are getting impatient now.

 Xavier: Uhh... oh, I'm coming . ( Replying after looking at the screen)

On the phone: Where are you now? Xavier: I'm here in front of Zara, coming in a minute. (Pinching the bridge of his nose) 

On the phone: Come soon, I can't handle them now. 

Xavier: Okay (Ends the call and walks away) 

She was here just a moment ago and disappeared like air on another. (Sighs) 

Suddenly someone catches his attention. Not just someone but a certain someone whom he was looking for just now. 

A small smile spread on him after finding her again. (He started to walk towards her and saw her mother passing more bags to her as she went towards a store) 

He chuckled when he saw her struggling with so many bags in her hands. (Bags fall on the ground from her hands) 

Xavier: Let me help you (while leaning down and helping her) 

Supermarket girl(He still doesn't know her name): Umm. Thank you so much(she slowly whispered ) 

Hands her over the bags. ( I was right that day, she's really so small but cute.)

 Xavier: Do you need help holding the bags? (Hopefully asks after seeing her struggling) 

Supermarket girl: No thanks my aunt will be back in a minute. Ohh, so she's her aunt, not her mom (Thinks) 

But why is she not looking up? Is she feeling uncomfortable around me? I really want to see her face clearly.

 Ohh so she's nervous ( seeing her tapping her foot) 

Xavier: Umm, I wanted to thank you for helping my niece in getting gummy worms. (Nervously) 

Supermarket girl: Huh?? Ohh. You. You're talking about that girl from the supermarket? (asks confusingly) 

Xavier: Yeah, you're right. I wanted to thank you for that day only but couldn't get the chance to do so because you already left that day. ( answered honestly) 

Supermarket girl: Ohh, okay no problem. ( Nods) 

Supermarket girl: Okay bye. (She leaves) 

Xavier: By... Bye(watching her leave with her aunt) 

Shit (mentally curse himself) 

She left again before I could ask her anything again. (sighs)

 I forgot to ask her name again. (mentally slaps himself) 

Ugh, I should've asked her for her name first. I really want to meet her again. After talking with her, I think we can be great friends. I hope that I'll meet her soon(Smiles while thinking) 

She's a 5'5 petite frame. She has gorgeous long black hair that cascades down her back. Her dark brown eyes looked so pure and innocent. But there was something else, I couldn't pinpoint what that was. She has red lips with a small face. Her voice sounded so sweet. (Remembering her)

 "Ring Ring" 

(Walking toward his friends) 

Xavier: Coming just a minute. (Replying after picking it up)

 On phone: You've been saying this from last 15 mins, come faster. (Irritatingly) 

Xavier: I'm here, see on your left side. (Waving) 

On-call: Guys are pissed, you better have a valid reason for showing up late. (Warning)

 Xavier: Sure(Ending the call)

•••••Aaria's POV ••••••

I couldn't believe that I saw him again. He seemed like a good guy but you never know what's hiding behind that so-called sweet mask on someone's face. 

Maybe it was only a coincidence, for a moment I thought that he was some freak trying to start a conversation with me.

 But after seeing him, I realized that he's the same guy from the supermarket who was with that cute little girl.

 It's been a while since I talked to someone of my age without getting bullied. 

I'm thankful that my aunt came on time or else I don't know what I would have talked to him about, even though he also seemed clueless about talking. 

It was awkward (sighs)

           •••••PRESENT TIME•••••• 

Currently, we're in a footwear shop and my aunt is trying to find a perfect pair of shoes for me and Robert. And she's making me choose a shoe for him because she thinks that I'm more aware of his tastes than she does. (Sighs)

 I knew that she was up to something. She knows that if he comes to know that it was me who chose his shoes then he won't use it but still she's doing this. (Sighs) 

Aaria: Aunt, do I really need to do this? (looking towards her) 

Aunt: Yeah, you have to(answering in determined voice) 

Aaria: What if he doesn't like it? (Nervously asks)

 Aunt: He'll like it, I know it. You don't think about anything else and just choose one pair for him. 

Aaria: Okay(Slowly whispers while looking around).

 (Robert likes to play soccer and I'm sure that he'll join the soccer team in his college too, so I think I should go shoe in which will help him that) 

Suddenly an orange coloured track spikes shoe catches her attention. 

(It's perfect, I think he'll like it. This shoe is perfect and will help him while playing will avoid him from falling by slipping in the field)

 Aaria: Aunt(calling her aunt) 

Aunt: Yeah. (looking at Aaria)

 Aaria: I like this one. What do you think? ( nervously) 

Aunt: I like it too sweetie (After carefully inspecting it and smiling) 

Aaria: Do think that he'll like it? (nervously asks)

Aunt: He is going to love it. Please wrap this up. (To attendant) 

Attendant: Sure mam(smiling). Do you need anything else? 

Aunt: Yeah, please wrap up those sneakers too (pointing at sneakers). 

Attendant: Sure Mam (smiling leaves)

 Aunt: Let's go, we need to reach before Liam comes. 

Aaria(sighs): Finally, we're done with this. I'm really feeling tired. 

Aunt: (Chuckles) I'm oldie here, I should feel tired not you. (Laughing) 

Aaria: You and uncle are never going to age, you both still look young( Smiling)

 Aunt: Stop buttering me up(Laughs) Let's go.

 (They leave after paying bills)

                    ••••• HOME•••••

After reaching home, we decided to cook after freshening up. We left our bags in the living room and went to our perspective room to freshen up.

 After freshening up, we decided to cook Creamy Mushroom wild rice soup. It was one of my Uncle's favourite dishes.

 When we were cooking it uncle came and went to change. After changing he came downstairs and my aunt went to call Robert. 

The dinner was ready and I just needed to do topping with fresh parsley after serving it in bowls.

 I took the bowls and went towards the dining area and put in 4 bowls. We were waiting for Robert now so we could start our dinner together. After some minutes, he came and sat on the left side of his uncle.

 The dinner was good, everyone enjoyed it. After dinner, I decided to do the dishes because it was an aunt who cooked it. I just helped her with chopping and passing things.

After I was done with my chores, I went to the living room and saw aunt showing shirts and tie clips that she bought for the uncle to him and Robert. 

I was watching them from afar. They looked like a happy family only if I hadn't acted stubborn that day. (thinking sadly) 

I went towards my aunt and secretly pointed towards the shoe. She understood. 

Aunt: Robert, look at this for you. Do you like it? (giving it to him) 

Robert: (Looking up towards aunt from his phone )What is it, mom? 

Aunt: Check it out yourself. 

Robert:(Opening it) Woah mom, you really remembered that I needed it. Thank you, Mom(Come towards her and kisses her cheeks) 

Aunt: Did you like it? ( asking Robert and looking towards Aaria and  winking ) 

(Aaria nervously smiles)

Robert: Love it (Smiles while trying it). It's my favourite colour mom. I can't believe that you got the right shoe with the right size and colour this time. (Smiling excitedly) 

( I felt something pressing my hand and saw aunt was pressing my hand with her hand smilingly, I smiled back. I'm happy that he liked it. I was nervous if he'll like it or not) 

Aunt: I knew it that you'll like after all it is Aaria's Choice. (Smiling)

 I got shocked and looked towards her, uncle did the same because she wasn't supposed to tell him that. 

Robert: What? ( Fuming in anger) 

Aunt: Nothing, just saying that I knew that you'd like it, after all, it's me who bought it for you. Hahaha.

(Smiling nervously and trying to cover up her mistake after realizing it) 

Robert: You think I'm stupid. I heard it, mom. I was wondering how did you manage to get right size shoe this time but it wasn't you it was her(speaking angrily while pointing towards Aaria)

 Aunt: No Robert it wasn't her it was me(Trying to coverup) 

Robert: I don't need these (while roughly pulling them out of his feet and walking towards the trash) 

Uncle: Robert stop it, you're not a child (shouts) 

Aunt: Yeah you're not a child Robert, stop acting like one. (Angrily) 

Robert: You're right Mom, dad I'm not a child. That's why I won't let this witch trick me the way she tricked you guys. (glaring and pointing toward Aaria)

 (Robert throws the shoe into the trash and angrily walk towards Aaria) 

(Uncle stands in front of Aaria protectively)

 Uncle: Stay away Robert (warning him) 

(Aunt stands besides Robert and tells him to go back to his room) 

Robert: You cannot trick me and stay the hell away from me you manipulative witch. Do you get it? ( shouting and pointing at Aaria's face angrily) 

(Aaria nods while sniffing) 

Uncle: Get the hell out of here(shouting) 

(Robert leaves not before giving one last glare to Aaria ) 

Aunt: When did he become like this(sadly sighing) 

Uncle: It's our fault, we shouldn't have forgiven him when he acted like this for the 1st time(regretting) 

(Sighs)

 Aaria: Goodnight Aunt, uncle. 

(hurriedly leaves before they can reply) 

(Aaria went to her bedroom and burst out crying remembering Robert's words and falls asleep while crying)
