First Day At New School

•••••Aaria's POV•••••

I started walking towards the school building. I noticed that the gates were shining black, they were quite large. 

I wandered around the area and noticed every single detail.

 The school was very huge, there were three buildings or blocks( for primary, secondary and for senior year students).

 As the building ended, the garden started. There was a huge garden on all four sides of the school. 

Once the garden finished, the tall gates started and that's it.

 I walked inside one of the main buildings while having no idea where I was supposed to go. When I entered the building, I saw everyone was staring at me. 

I mean everyone is starting to like gawking. This is what I was afraid of. I knew I would get some attention to being a "new kid". 

After seeing me, some students just rolled their eyes and continued talking and some were watching me with amusement. ( Like they've never seen any new students)

 I ignored their gazes and started to look for the office. I started walking towards the front gate when suddenly out of blue a girl with long blonde hair approached me.

 Girl: Hey I'm Benny(smiling and giving her hand forward for shaking) 

( Why is she talking to me, this is so awkward ) 

Aaria: Hel... Hello, I'm Aaria(Smiling nervously and shaking her hand) 

Benny: You look new and lost so I decided to help you( shrugging her shoulder while talking playfully)

 Aaria: Ohhhh...(Thinking) Thank you But you didn't have to. I'm sure you have other work. I can find it just giving me directions (nervously answered ). 

(She seems like a nice and cheerful girl, I hope that we can be friends if she wants) 

Benny: No problem at all. Anyway, I am free, so let's go. (Benny suddenly grab Aaria's wrist which causes her to flinch at sudden contact)

 Benny: So sorry I didn't mean to scare you( apologising and feeling guilty)

 Aaria: No problem it was too sudden that's why(smiles)

 Benny: Ohh, let's go then ( drags Aaria's away).

 She turned towards a hallway which was full of students. I suddenly became more self-conscious. I started to tug on the sleeves of my home as a way to ease my nerves.

 I began to make my way towards the office with Benny, who was also struggling to make way for us to pass. 

Finally, after turning a second corner to the left, we spotted our destination near a more open set of front doors. 

We quickly entered into the large room, after carefully shutting the front door quietly. 

I was nervous so I settled my eyes on the table in front of me without making any eye contact with anyone, until Benny greeted anyone Good morning.

 I looked up and saw an old lady sitting behind a computer and looking at us with curious eyes. 

Old lady: How can I help you today, Benny? Who is this little sweetheart behind you? (looking in between Benny and Aaria) 

(Her voice is sweet, she has green eyes. I started to take the paper out of the bag, which my uncle told me to show in the office) 

Benny: Hey Lisa, she's Aaria and she's new here so I helped her in finding her way to the office (smiles).

 Aaria: Hii. I'm Aaria Christopher and here's the paper and I was told to show it here. ( Giving her paper) 

(Lisa nodded and turned towards her computer) 

Lisa: Oh yeah, wait let me fetch your schedule for you. ( Smiling) Ah, here it is. (Giving a portfolio to Aaria) Benny can show you the way to go to your classes. Right, Benny? 

Benny: Yeah, let me check it out. ( Talking schedule from Aaria's hand and checking it) Let's go. Can you find your homeroom? ( waving at Lisa and taking Aaria out) 

Benny: Yayy, We have three classes together. One before the break and two after that. (happily) 

Aaria: Ohh ( That's great, I don't have to worry then ) Well, thank you for making everything easy for me. 

Benny: No problem, this is what friends are for(smiling).

 Aaria: Yea... Yeah(where did this come from? This school is not that bad. The first few minutes weren't as bad as I thought. For the 1st time someone was actually nice to me at my 1st new school) 

Benny: So, where are you...( Her question was cut off but sudden silence in the corridor) 

Aaria: What happened? (asking confusingly) 

Benny: Nothing let's go, just some jerks (slowly whispering). Whenever you see everyone going silent, just join them and ignore them. Let's go. (Pulling aaria)

(Benny starts to drag Aaria. Aaria passes by 2 huge figures and bumps into 3rd one)

 I hear people behind me gasp and whisper and saying stuff like " She's in great trouble, he already looks pissed " 

I slowly look up and see a pair of eyes glaring at me looking pissed. 

Aaria: Sor... Sorry. I didn't mean it.. mean to. (she apologised feeling Scared and nervously  looking at her feet) 

Boy: Look where you're going bitch (growling and pushing Aaria angrily ) My hands start to shake and sweat. 

(I didn't want to do this. )

Benny: Shut that fucking mouth Daxton, you can't just push her (angrily glaring at the boy and helping Aaria) 

Daxton: Ohh, you're here too. But let me tell you that don't talk back and tell that friend of yours to stay away from me or else don't... 

(Daxton was cut off by a cold loud voice which sent shivers up to my spine) 

" Daxton leave and let's go"

( I moved my head and saw 2 strong figures standing. One of them is turned toward us and another one has his back towards us. After looking closely she realized that the one who is looking towards them is looking familiar)

 OMG he's the same boy from the supermarket 

(She looked towards supermarket boy and saw he was also looking at her with wide eyes)

 Aaria: I'm sorry... Sorry(stuttering and leaving with Benny)

After leaving the hallway with Benny, I decided to ask her about them. I wanted to know about them because of that voice and that supermarket boy.

 So I decided to ask her, hopefully, she'll answer my questions.

 Aaria: Benn... Benny. Can I ask you something? (nervously ) 

Benny: Yeah, you can. What is it? (looking ahead) 

Aaria: Who were those people? (looking at her feet) 

Benny: Who? (confused) 

Aaria: Umm.. from the hallway. (desperate to receive the answer) 

Benny: Ohh them. Well, the only thing that you should know about them is that you have to stay away from them.

 Aaria: Oh... are they bad people, I mean bullies?

 Benny: Uhm... Kind of (standing in front of Aaria and putting her hands on her butt).

They are practically the owners of the school actually. They run the school and they're the most popular boys but not all of them are bad. Only two of them are jerks.

 The one you bumped into was "Daxton Harris" He's the biggest jerk. 

He's kind of a playboy.

 He's always flirting around the campus, today's exception I guess because he's rarely pissed. 

Otherwise, he is humorous and funny. He's also a striker in our soccer team. And his parents are popular lawyers. 

Aaria: Ohhh... And the other one who was looking at us? (I hope he's not a jerk, he seemed nice but I'll not be shocked if he's one) 

Benny: (Thinking) Ohh he's Xavier. He's the sweetest of all of them. He has the image of a good boy. He's a goalkeeper in our soccer team and he's also Captain of our team. Girls just want to approach him because he's rich and a gentleman not rude like the other two of his friends. 

His father owns a shipping company and his mother is a popular fashion designer. He's not talkative, he ignores everyone as nobody exists except him, his friends and his girlfriend exist in this world. (Rolling her eyes) 

And yeah he's in a relationship since high school. His girlfriend is a model and rarely comes to school, but they are the most famous and popular couple in this school. 

Aaria: Ohhh... (Thank god that he's a good guy. I thought he's a jerk just like his friend "sigh" but why am I feeling bad after hearing his girlfriend? It's not like that I like him) 

Benny: And the last one who has his back to us was "Ethan Williams Jones" the biggest jerk. His mother was a popular model and now she owns a company which trains models. She's best friends with Xavier's and Daxton's mom. His father owns an entertainment company and is a major shareholder in this school.

 So basically he's the leader of their group, all girls drool over this trio. They've been best friends since they were toddlers because of their mothers. And he's also the quarterback of our soccer team. Xavier is our captain but he never takes any decisions without asking Ethan because Ethan's decision is mostly right whenever he's not pissed. 

Aaria: If his decision is mostly right then why is he, Xavier is the captain? (Confused)

 Benny: Good question, but I'll tell you about that later because currently, you're 5 minutes late for your Maths class on your 1st day(checking time and smiles) 

Aaria: Ohh shoot.... sorry gotta go( Runs in backward direction)

Benny: Wrong direction babe  (laughs and shouts)

 Aaria: Ohh thanks(returns and suddenly stops) Where is my class? (Confused)

Benny: In front of you(laughs)

Aaria: Huh? (Confused) Then she realized that Benny was standing a bit far away from the class. 

Aaria: Thank you (walk toward the class)

Benny: Meet me here after your class ends, I'm only 2 classes away from your class. I'll show you your next class and your locker too. 

Aaria: Yeah sure, Bye. (smiles and nods).

 Benny: Bye(waving) Aaria reaches in front of the door and knocks.

 " Yes"

 ( she hears a voice and opens the door) 

Teacher: Yes, how can I help you? ( removing his glasses). 

I walked into the class and saw everyone staring at me. I quickly turned my head to the teacher. He looks young. 

Aaria: I'm a newly transferred student. (nervously answer) 

Teacher: Ohh you must be Aaria Christopher. I'm am Mr Larson your Maths teacher. You can take a seat at an empty desk.

 Aaria: Okay, thank you( whispers) 

I walk to the back of the class and sit near a window seat and pull my hood up because everyone is staring at me right now. 

 After a few minutes of listening to the teacher talk, the door bursts open and walks the trio.

 Mr Larson just shakes his head and continues his lecture. 

I kept my head down and pull my hood more down so they won't see me but I guess I was wrong because Daxton was glaring at me while walking to his seat and Ethan looked towards me for a second I got mesmerized by his looks. 

He was wearing a white shirt that showed off his muscles with a leather jacket above it, dark blue ripped jeans and black boots. He was taller than Xavier and had more muscles than him. His dark pool of emerald eyes was staring back at mine (I feel like he was directly staring at my soul ). 

I noticed that he has a sharp jawline and for some reason, I have the urge to touch it. He has dark brown hair, plumped lips and a straight nose. He moved his gaze back. ( His gaze sent shivers to my spine just the way his voice did in the hallway) 

Then I saw Xavier he was nodding and smiling at me apologetically. I nodded back and started to focus back on the class. 

They walked to their seats and settled down. One of them was sitting behind me because I could feel someone's gaze burning a hole in my head.

 Suddenly I started to feel uncomfortable and conscious because of that gaze.
