Chapter XXV: Morning Sickness

Queen Beatrice’s POV

It's been a month since our royal wedding. If you would ask me what happened in the past one month, Alaric and I went to this place that I called a paradise for one week. We went there for our honeymoon. A lot has happened during our honeymoon, I can't say it in details, but we had fun, and it is a perfect honeymoon for me. When you say honeymoon, you know already what happened to us. Yes, we made love. We became one, and thinking about it makes me blush.

After our honeymoon, we went back to the palace. It’s back to our royal duties again. I am always with Alaric, helping him with anything and everything I can. It’s fun to work together because you get your duties done quickly.

I am now heading to Alaric’s office. When I got inside, I saw him handsomely seating and has a serious face while reading some papers.

"Good morning, my king,"

"Oh, good morning, my queen,"

After greeting each other, we kissed.

“Can I help you with that?”

“Sure”

We are now reviewing some papers. Suddenly my head hurts so much, so I massaged it.

“Are you ok, Beatrice? Does your head hurt?”

"Yes, my head hurts so much,"

"You need to rest. Come, I will accompany you to our room,"

“Ok”

Alaric accompanied me to our room. These past few weeks, I feel kind of nauseous, and my head hurts.

King Alaric’s POV

It's been a month, and during that one month, we had our honeymoon. Our honeymoon was great, and during our last night, Beatrice and I made love.

After our honeymoon, it’s back to normal again, which is doing our royal duties. It’s ok because Beatrice helped me and we get it done quickly.

When we were working, Beatrice kept massaging her head and has a look of pain in her face. I asked her if she is ok and does her head hurt, and she said yes. I accompanied her to our room and advice her to rest. I am worried about Beatrice.

"Rest for a bit, ok? The person will go away if you take a rest,"

"Ok, Alaric. But I need to help you,"

“I can manage it by myself. Rest for now, ok?”

“Ok”

"That's my queen,"

I kissed her forehead, and I went out of the room and went back to my office.

Queen Beatrice’s POV

I took a rest for a bit just like Alaric told me. When I woke up, I look at the time, and it's already 2 in the afternoon.

Suddenly, I feel that I want to puke, so I hurriedly go to the bathroom. Why am I feeling like this? And then I thought that these symptoms earlier are symptoms that you are pregnant. There’s no doubt that I’m pregnant because Alaric and I did it already.

I want to confirm it to the royal physician today, but I need to take my lunch first because I did not eat because I fell asleep for how many hours. I went to the kitchen, and the chef serves me my lunch. After I ate my lunch, I had to the royal clinic. I knocked on the door when I arrive. I did not tell Alaric and the maids because they will be worried, and I want to keep it a secret for now.

"Come in,"

"Good afternoon, doctor,"

“Queen Beatrice, what brings you here? Is something the matter?”

"I feel nauseous this past few weeks,"

“Did you and King Alaric did it already?”

"Yes," I shyly said.

"Then, there's no doubt that you are pregnant, but we need to test you, ok?"

"Ok doctor,"

The doctor took a few tests, and when he is done taking some tests, he said to wait for him for a moment and take a sit because he will get the results.

"I have the result, Queen Beatrice,"

“What did the result say, doctor?”

“It says that you are three weeks pregnant. Congratulations, Queen Beatrice. What you are feeling is morning sickness, it's normal for a pregnant woman, no need to worry,"

"I can't believe that I'm pregnant. Thank you, doctor,"

“No problem, your highness. Before you leave, take these vitamins. Take those vitamins every day, ok? Eat a lot of nutritious foods for the baby to be healthy and don't overwork yourself,"

"Thank you, doctor. I will keep that in mind. I will take my leave now,"

I feel like I'm on cloud nine. I can't wait to tell Alaric. I bet he will be shocked and happy. We planned to have a baby because we talked about it during our honeymoon.

I am planning to surprise Alaric tomorrow about my pregnancy. I can’t wait.

The queen is pregnant. There will be a royal baby soon.

And that is the new chapter of their life, having a baby and being parents.
