The day of the hunt soon arrives, everyone was preparing from clothes to food. I haven’t seen the Second Miss for a few days since the preparation has become.

Lucia and the others are also busy preparing my clothes and dress. Well, I’m also preparing for things, some things.

I heard that the hunt will last for seven days and each family will have a tent to sleep in, I also heard that Imperial Guards will be there.

Seems like the possibility to see Prince Leon is getting big.

Though, I also have some plans. I don’t want to just be attending as a lady of Esquello.

That’s kind of boring. I want some spice in this life before I’ll be sent to the war.

I sighed as I look out the window, now that I think about it soon as the Imperial Court realizes I’m the real Augustine what will they do to father? What will happen to the Esquello?

“My lady, are you alright?” Lucia asked me holding one of my dresses that look like I’ll wear at the hunt.

“Yes, I’m alright” I said and just looked out the window.

What will the war look like? What will happen if one win? Can’t I just be hidden forever?

“Lucia?” I said calling her attention, she immediately made her way to my side.

“What is it, milady?” I sighed and turned to look at her.

“Will I be able to become a lady knight?” I asked her, I think she was caught off guard by what I asked her.

“You can attend milady but I don’t think the Duke will agree to it” she said as she brushed my hair using her hand.

“I think I want to be a knight” I said looking up to her.

“But my lady-“ I didn’t let her finished because I knew what she was about to say.

“I know but what if the war ends?” I asked which made her froze “Esquello is a household of knights, so you know where I will be”

She sighed and only brushed my hair. I know that Lucia is trying to comfort me because of the fate I received.

Maybe if my mom, who is the late Duchess, she might be this caring to me too or she might always comfort me. Maybe if she’s also alive she’s also this loving to me.

I sighed and pushed Lucia, I told her that I will be taking a walk in the garden. I think as day passed by I’m getting bug by something unknown.

Maybe I should talk to someone? I mean like Jai?

What if I asked Jai? And as I was thinking about the deity, some green light shine through my right shoulder then a familiar voice spoke.

“Greetings my lady” it was the deity’s voice coming from the green light!

“Jai! What is this?” I asked being wary of anyone in the room, luckily the servants went out as well as  Lucia.

“The reason you can hear me even though you are not in the tree is because of my magic” the green light then floated in front of me “Don’t worry, you can speak with me through your mind, no one else but you could see this magic of mine”

What Jai said assured me and made me let out a sigh, maybe the reason I was able to contact Jai was because of my consciousness.

‘Then how where you able to talk to me through magic?’ I asked him through my mind, this is the real deal telepathy.

“The moment I attached my magic on you, it took awhile before you summoned me” then the light went back on top of my shoulder.

‘Well then, I was just about to talk to you’ I made my way to the garden, each servant I passed by bowed to me. I just waved them off.

“What is it, milady?”

‘Well, can you teach me some kind of magic to change my appearance or conceal myself?’ I sat done on a random swing and just looked out the whole garden.

“I could teach you my lady but there’s a catch”

“What is it?” I asked verbally, there was nobody but me in this area of our garden so it’s okay to speak up now.

“Someone who has a greater magic than you will easily be seen” I nodded my head and kept that in mind.

If that someone means someone like Prince Leon and father then I need to bring a coat.

“But why do you want to learn this kind of magic?”

“Well, I want to join the hunt so you know” I said which made the deity laughed.

I think this is the first time I heard the deity Jai laughed out loud, this is kind of making me embarrassed.

“Why do you need that? You’re going to be attending the hunt as a lady as I heard of”

“Well… I want to experience the hunt” I said and I slowly swing myself.

“I will be able to conceal your appearance as long as you can keep this light” he said which made my eyes sparkles.

“Thank you-“ before I could even finished what I’m saying a servant came running to me saying that the Third Son of Marquess Shailano is here again.

I almost rolled my eyes but I stopped myself, for the last days Sir Jhail has been here nonstop.

“What is it that you’re here again?” I asked and crossed my arms, for the last days he’s been annoying to pay me back for the incident that happened.

“I’m here to tell you about the hunt” he showed me his gibberish smile.

“What is it?” I asked him back being kind of curious now.

“I’ll be joining the hunt!”

“I know you will” I rolled my eyes which made him laughed out loud like a maniac.

“I’ll be joining the hunt as the representative of our house!” he said and held his hands up like a kid.

“What?!” I mean, I thought his older brothers will be the representative!

“Well?” he asked, I know he wants some kind of compliment.

I turned around and waved my hand at him, I just don’t want to see him now because I have a bigger fish to catch.
