Time to Hunt

"My lady be sure to eat healthily!"

"Please be careful my lady!"

"We will wait for you my lady!"

Those were the words I heard from the servants as I entered the carriage. Few even waved their handkerchiefs as if I'm about to be sent to the neighbouring countries.

I sighed and just sat in front of father beside the Second Miss. Good thing Lucia and Sir Ceao will be coming with me.

I also heard that Sir Ceao would be joining the hunt, I'm even feeling the butterflies inside my tummy.

I'll join the hunt! No matter what I have the Deity Jai's magic to conceal me and just be able to join the hunt without problem!

"How are you feeling August?" Father asked me, maybe he's confuse or worried by my expression.

"I'm just feeling excited" I sweetly smiled at him but I could feel someone getting annoyed by my presence.

"This is the second time you'll be attending a high society party" father laughed at his remark which I chuckled to.

This is the first time I'll be able to use my swordsmanship and magic though I will conceal myself.

"Will Sir Leon be there father?" I asked curiously, I think I heard the Mistress gasped.

"I don't think so, Sir Leon doesn't attend any high society party as well as the hunt before" he said thinking as he held his chin.

"Not until I appeared with him?" I asked with a giggle.

It was one of my memorable moments, everyone just stared at us suprised and frozen in their places.

It was like they saw a ghost! Few even just stared with their mouths half opened.

Father coughed at my remark and chuckled, he agreed because he said it was really a surprise.

"August, did you know that there will be a ceremony after the hunt?" Mistress said as she held that fan in front of her face.

"What kind of ceremony is that, mother?" I asked smiling, of course I know what kind of ceremony is that!

Lucia already told me before hand everything that would happen at the hunt. Lucia really loves me that she doesn't want me to look to ignorant.

"Well, the lady who will receive the most hunt will be the one who will lead the prayer for the land" she said to me with that unknown tone then she closed the fan and showed me her malicious smile "Augustine has been leading the ceremony for the last six years"

Ohh now I know what that tone is, arrogance.

"Well that must be a pleasure that sister was able to lead for six years" I smiled and look over to the Second Miss.

I know they were looking forward for me to have that envious look but no honey, I'm here to hunt not to be offered of hunts.

"It was" she smiled at me sweetly, she must have really think I'm envious of her "What are you most expecting of the hunt?" She asked maybe thinking I'm wanting to have the most offer.

"The hunting!" I cheered which made her face turn sour.

"You're not looking forward for the offers?" She asked me with disbelief.

"No, I'm not that known and I'm more interested in the swordsmanship of each house" I said and turned to watch the trees we passed by.

"Well.." the Second Miss wasn't able to come up on another question or remark so she just kept quiet.

Maybe this is the first time she saw me being uncompetitive towards her, she better not ruin my mood or else we know what will happen.

'Jai' I called to the Deity using my mind.

"What is it my lady?" The green light slowly appeared in front of my face, good thing I'm looking outside.

'What kind of location will the hunt be held at?'

"The hunt will be held at the feet of the Kailos Mountain, the mountain that the God Dhaer fought with the legions of Kailos" he said which sounded foreign to me.

'Who is that Kailos?'

"Kailos is believe to be the God that invented Black Magic, he was forced to be kicked out of sky and descended to the lowest depths of underworld"

'So that means that beasts roaming that mountain are affected by the fight?'

"They are not though they have features of scales, horns and fangs" the light then flew on top of my head as if my hair was its nest.

'So they have life? If they have life they I could talk to them!' This talk us making me so excited, maybe I wouldn't crash to the hunt and just have conversations to the beasts.

"They have life because of their magic, and yes you could talk with them"

'Then I will just have a talk with every beast! I will not hunt them as long as I'm not in danger' I giggled in my mind which made Jai chuckled.

I'm really acting as someone so young now, I could also feel that I'm becoming more childish as each day passes.

Well that couldn't be avoided as I receive childish care and things each day. I'm kind of enjoying this as if I'm not about to be sent to the wars.

"You two should sleep a few more minutes, it seems like we will be late because of this bumpy road" father said as he looked out of the window.

"I will just look outside the window and watch each tree" I said and turned my head to the window.

Who would be able to sleep on a carriage while taking on a bumpy road? I guess me...

As soon as I opened my eyes from blinking I could see big tents and nobles! I slept even though I said I won't!

"Aaahhh!!!" I screamed as I grabbed my hair.

It seems like my scream made everyone inside the carriage jolted awake. Well it was a good thing that I wasn't the only one who fell asleep.

"What is that August?!" Father said being alerted to his surrounding.

This is the first time that I would use such a perty and embarassing excuse. I swear that this will never happen again.

"I... uhm... I saw the biggest tent!" I exclaimed and pointed at the tent of the Imperial Family.
