Living alone in this city seems like a dream to other people. They don't know the children who starve to death in these streets, the children who was either abandoned or left here to die. 

Just like me, my parents where young couple who got into an arguement. The moment they decided to split up they never wanted an extra load which is me. That's their reason for leaving me here to die in these streets.

Every morning I'll get up start preparing myself for things that will be tasked by the boss, it's either he makes us steal or sell drugs like cocaine or mariquana. I know such a pitiful me. 

There's no way I could survive this life without working illegally. If only divorced wasn't approved in this country or if my parents wasn't that stupid to leave me here being irresponsible then maybe I could live happily.

In the morning I work for our boss, if I work I can eat then when the day ends I need to pay for my area to those bastards.

They act as if they own the whole area, if you don't pay they'll beat you up. It's simply a quantity over quality.

If rebirth is true I wish I'll be born in a rich family. I don't even care if I wouldn't be love, I just want a life away from these shitty streets.

And with that I think my wish was answered from above. But it was a cliche move to die.

It was the day of xx, month of June, year xxxx. I was busy pickpocking everyone I spot with money or jewelry in this railway. Everytime I'll bump to them I'll get their money, watch or jewelry.

I was about to go home after bumping to a man in his early 50's when he grabbed me by my shoulder and turned me around. He was eyeing me intensely that it sends shivers down my spine.

"What do we have here? Can I see what's that in your pocket boy?" he smirked at me while getting his hands in my pockets. 

Wait- did he just call me 'boy'?!

Before being drowned in the thought that he mistaken me for being a boy, I struggled to get off his grip making everything I stole fall off my pocket. When he saw the coins, necklaces and rings fall off he gave me a wide smirk.

"Those who steal shall get their hands chopped off" he said while his grip tighten.

What he said made my eyes shot open, making my sins more obviously. I looked at the signal of the railway, it shows that the train isn't near yet. I bit his arm and ran through the crowd.

The man shouted buglar making the women shriek and men look at me, it made my system more panic. This was the first time someone caught me stealing.

Without thinking I jumped to the railway, running to the other side but thanks to my luck the train was coming.

Everything happened to quickly, everyone screamed while the things I stole was shattered to the rails, blood was everywhere and everything in me felt a quick pain before everything felt numb, and slowly everything turn black.

"Child..."

"Oh my child"

Everything turn white from black, an unknown voice seemed to be talking with me. But I was alone in what seem to be a void.

"I am who controls life and created thy..."

"Who are!? Are you the God?!" I shouted loud at where I was facing but the noise only echoed back.

"Some call me the God, while others say I am the God Dhaer... In your world I'm known as thy Almighty, in this world I am the one who gives life"

"What do you mean God? So you are the God!" I shouted getting quite confused, I died in that railway as far as I remember.

"You had a painful life in that world, I shall give you another lifetime. But in this world you'll be the savior of the empire"

"What do you mean?!"

"You shall be named Augustine Clementina, you'll end these pitiful wars. The earth rises as you walk and flowers wither at your beauty as they can't compare. Your enemies shall bathe in their own blood, you shall cleanse this empire with their blood. I wish you a happy life my pitiful child..."

Before I could asked anything the void turned black and quickly lighten up again, but this time a woman in her late 40's was holding me. I coud hear a cry from a baby filling the room, that must be mine.

She gave me to a beautiful woman, she is young by her looks maybe in her early 20's. She has these beautiful red hair, black eyes, and light olive color skin. She looks so much in pain, she's pale and beadles of sweat was forming in her forehead. I stopped crying realizing she's my mother in this world.

She seems so weak.

Before I could lift my hands at her, a door slamed open making me cry again. I just cried and cried because that's the only thing I could do as a baby.

"My dear Duke" my mother said giving me to a man who looks in the same age as her. He has a black hair, blue eyes and light skin. He looks like he could cry while looking at my mother he must be my father!

"You can rest now, my love..." sorrow was evident from his words.

"I heard the prophecy, don't let her be a toy to that cunning emperor" my mother said while having a jokingly tone in the end.

"He is your brother" my father said while holding me in one arm and caressed mother's hair. "You can rest now, you're in so much pain"

"Promise me, you'll protect August. Hide her if you must" she said trying to still hold on, making me stopped crying.

"I will..." father said before leaning in and giving her a kiss in her forehead.

Mother slowly closed her eyes and in her face was a small smile. I cried, this is a second life without a mother again.

"Not a single sould shall talk about this child outside or inside this house! No one could talk that the girl in the prophecy was born to this house! In my order and in your Duchess' wish! If you do, a head wil be confiscated!" father shouted in the people who seemed to be servants as they bowed their heads.

"You, you, you, and two knights shall accompany me. You will guide and guard the lady before she's ready to be introduce in this world" father pointed at some servants and made them packed some things which looks like mine.

"Someone or anyone in you shall only talk about the Duchess' death before giving birth resulting to the unborn child to also die! Spread the news, no one shall know that this child is born!" he shouted and entered a carriage. 

Rain was pouring down heavily and the ride was shaking due to the mud. Father was hugging me tight and crying silently.

"I shall protect you my child, as you will bring peace in this land but I can't allow the imperial court to use you as their pawn" he said slowly carresing me.

"Servants shall accompany you till your coming of age in our hidden household near the countryside. You will be taught there as a fine lady and a fine lady knight through my absence. I will visit you once a year to ensure your safety, so fight well my child" that's what he said to me kissing my forehead and glittery lights enveloped me.

And that night, two knights and three servants left the house of Esquello to the hidden household. The Duke who left the house made his way back alone and emotionless to the Imperial Capital. News about the death of the Duchess of Esquello and her unborn child filled every inch and corner of the empire. Hopes of the Imperial Court for the prophecy's child was ended and the girl Augustine Clementina Esquello was secretly raised in the countryside.
