LOGINThe last thing I remember is a bright light before a wolf clamps onto my throat, and slicing my jugular open. My bright red blood spurting all over the ground, covering me and the black wolf, the dark trees looming over us before a silence covered the woods. My name is Ava, and this is how I survived.

Mike and his wife were driving home after coming back from Mike's mother's house after christmas day. Mike is driving really slowly due to the snow and icy conditions on the roads when his wife, Eve screams in horror "Mike stop the car now!" Mike slammed on the brakes worried, the car skidding to a stop, smoke rising up from the tires.
"What is wrong? Are you feeling ok, Eve?" Mike asks worriedly while looking at Eve. She just points out into the snowstorm and replies with "I think there is an animal in the middle of the road, babe." Mike gets up and grabs the black flashlight from the backseat from his job as a janitor at the local high school. Mike slowly walks outside and walks in front of the beat up tan Nissan, the haunting forest ahead. A small trail can barely be seen where there are two towering trees above Mike.
The silence is stifling, all the snow falling slowly around Mike makes it harder to see what is in front of him. He slowly looks around creeped out by the lack of sounds when out of nowhere a sound of an animal crying cuts through the silence as Mike starts looking around him before spotting a small puppy no bigger than his size 13 shoe, in between the two creepy trees covered in snow. Mike bends down and scoops the puppy up in his arms as he runs back towards the car, as a loud howl is heard behind him. Right behind Mile looking from the shadows of the tree is a lone wolf with bright yellow eyes just staring at the human carrying its baby.
Mike opens the door up and hands the shivering, white puppy to Eve who stares at it for a second before covering the white puppy up with her jacket. Mike turns the heat up, as he slowly maneuvers the car back to the road. Eve starts to pet the cold puppy trying to warm it up, as Mike starts driving home, the snowstorm getting worse by the minute. Eve looks outside and looks at Mike, relief clear in her eyes, as they slowly leave the creepy forest behind " I honestly thought you got caught up in the snowstorm. I saw some yellow eyes looking through the forest and heard a howl." Eve says and looks down at the puppy while frowning sadly. "I wonder how this puppy got in the middle of the forest, I wonder if someone abandoned it." Mike shrugs and replies "It was cold enough I figured the puppy would have been dead a long time ago. Usually the cold kills real quick, so it probrably will not last the night."
Eve winces at the thought of something so small like the baby puppy dying especially this early in life but doesn't reply back just letting the silence fill the car. The rest of the drive home was quiet and relatively normal compared to what the first part of the drive was both too tired to even speak. Once home they both go inside and bring the puppy inside putting it on the couch while they put up their coats.
Eve starts filling a bowl with warm water and grabs a black blanket to cover the puppy with for the night. Eve slowly brings it to the puppy and was about to lay it on the puppy when the puppy starts to whimper. All the bones in the puppy seem to start cracking as Eve stares in shock and starts screaming "Mike, come here the puppy is breaking bones!" Mike rushes in and stares at the small toddler sitting on their white couch. Eve starts to faint as Mike is still staring in shock at the toddler, the only thing that breaks him out of his shock was Eve hitting her head on the wood floor as she fainted, her brown hair fanning around her.
When Eve finally woke up, the toddler was asleep on the couch and Mike was standing next to her still in shock. Eve looked at the sleeping toddler before looking up at her husband who is still in shock from the toddler changing forms. Eve looks at the child again before asking "Are we going to keep it?" Mike looks down at her his blue eyes troubled "How can we raise a creature like that when we are only humans?" Eve stares at her husband in disbelief "That creature is just a child, Mike. We have no right to discriminate against it. It didn't ask to be born that way." Eve raises her voice as she says that before continuing her rant. "We are keeping that child because someone has to take care of it and someone needs to protect that child." Mike looks at her before nodding and saying "Fine, but that child is your responsibility." Eve just stares at the child one last time before getting up and grabbing her husbands hand. She drags him imto their bedroom after locking up and turning the lights off in the house. They both crawl onto the queen size bed, and both are asleep as soon as they reach the bed.
I looked at the male driving the silver car that I had gotten in with Elena, he looked like he was Elena's age and had warm brown eyes with a mop of brown hair. Elena had said his name was Alex, and that he was my teacher for self defense and martial arts training. I rolled my eyes at that but agreed, besides Alex looked like he and I would be friends soon enough. I yawned and asked Elena "How long until we get to the pack?" Elena smiled and said " Well, it is really remote and in the middle of nowhere so about two hours." Alex was driving over all the holes but it slowly made me feel more tired until I fell asleep in the car, Nova quiet for once since she showed herself to me. I dreamed of a woman in white who was talking to me, saying "Ava, my beautiful child, I need to tell you that you carry a great gift as the white wolf. You will have one power that will reveal itself when you met your soulmate. The power could
I took my suitcase and put it downstairs next to the front door, and nervously started pacing around, unsure of what will happen after I shift. I was deep in thought when mom called out "Honey, I made some dinner, If you want anything." I smiled and walked happily towards the kitchen the smell of steak making my stomach growl more urgently. I looked around the kitchen and saw she had made my favorite steak dinner with steak marinade on the steak with cheesy mashed potatoes, and some green beans that smelled divine. I kissed my mom in the cheek and hugged her tightly, my voice sounding a little thick with emotions as I spoke "Thank you so much mom. I love you and dad very much." My dad moved in closer and hugged us both before they both said "We love you too so much kiddo." My chest tightened as I tried not to cry, I turned away and started to grab a plate for dinner, accidentally bumping into Elena on my grab for a plate. I start to say " I
(Real quick: I have not updated because I got sick and my finals are a week away so I have been studying instead of writing. But I am hopefully going to put up at least 2 to 3 chapters today and more tomorrow.- the author)I woke up to the wolf that was my birth mom standing above her, looking down at me, the green eyes flashing between green and a bright yellow. I slowly sat up and groaned while looking around me, the room slightly spinning, my head pounding from hitting the ground like a sack of potatoes, the smell of coffee making my mouth water. I scrambled to my feet, my headache going away as I get to my feet, I start calling out for my parents "Mom, Dad, where are you in the house?" My voice cracks at the end from my dry mouth, I started walking to the kitchen, the walls still slightly spinning as I walk there, the sound of the coffee machine making coffee with a small hiss makes my mouth water more.
I sighed impatiently waiting for a taxi to pick me up from work. I looked at my older samsung phone to check the time before looking around me, the beautiful blue sky in the spring was a sight to stare at and the birds were chirping loudly. This would be the second time I was late to a birthday party, last time it was my dad's birthday party and this year it was going to be me being late again. I didn't want to be late to my own birthday party this year, even though I knew my parents would be ok if I was late. I tapped my right black heel distractedly, as I contemplated just running home as it was only a few miles away when the yellow taxi finally arrived. The middle aged, balding taxi driver looks at me through the rear view mirror and asked me "Are you going home from your work?" I nod my head, my black hair starting to fall down from it's bun before plastering a fake smile on my face feeling uncomfortable with th
