LOGINI sighed impatiently waiting for a taxi to pick me up from work. I looked at my older samsung phone to check the time before looking around me, the beautiful blue sky in the spring was a sight to stare at and the birds were chirping loudly. This would be the second time I was late to a birthday party, last time it was my dad's birthday party and this year it was going to be me being late again. I didn't want to be late to my own birthday party this year, even though I knew my parents would be ok if I was late. I tapped my right black heel distractedly, as I contemplated just running home as it was only a few miles away when the yellow taxi finally arrived.
The middle aged, balding taxi driver looks at me through the rear view mirror and asked me "Are you going home from your work?" I nod my head, my black hair starting to fall down from it's bun before plastering a fake smile on my face feeling uncomfortable with the strange taxi driver before mustering up a "Yes, I am just running a few minutes late to my parent's house." Feeling too uncomfortable to tell the taxi driver my plans or any personal information as he was making me feel really uncomfortable and unsafe.
I sigh and looks down at my phone, checking my notifications as I har a 30 minute drive before I reached my parents house. I slowly got bored and instead start looking out the window, the forest blurring all together, making me think of the last time I actually got fresh air. I watched the firest until it slowly thinned out become the suburban area with all the houses in the neighborhood.
My work has been taking priority over everything else lately, this is my third day working overtime because my idiotic bosses don't know how to be happy with their employees. I start feeling frustrated again when I got startled out my thoughts by my growling stomach, sounding like a dying whale. I blush in embarrassment my face red like a tomato. I can't remember the last time I ate today so I sent a text to ask my adopted parents to make me some food before the party.
My parent's brown brick house slowly rolls into view, as the taxi slowly comes to a stop in front of their green lawn. The creepy taxi driver looks me and tell me "It's a free ride on me because you look like you had a tough enough day already. Have a good birthday, princess." He smirks at me as I climb out of the taxi feeling even more creeped out thinking to myself "When did I tell him it was my birthday and why did he call me a princess? As if I could ever be mistaken for a princess with my black hair and whiter than sour cream complexion. I look more like a dead person than a actual princess."
I slowly pull myself out of my thoughts when my parent's green front door is open. I slowly walk in cautious because my parents have never left their doors open. I hear people talking quietly inside so I start walking in towards the living room, their yellow walls calming me down from my bad day. I look up to see a strange woman in all black business clothes sitting with my parents. I walk up to my dad, Mike and hugs him tightly before repeating the same with my mom, Eve. "Mom, dad, who is this?" I politely ask, trying to not act weird about never seeing this woman ever before.
My dad and mom look at me weirdly before dad responds "Well, Ava, honey, you know how you have always asked us about your birth parents? Well this is your birth mother, Elena." I look stunned for a second before composing myself, taking a second to stare at the woman in front of me who was apparently my birth mother. She looks as if she came straight from the models in magazines or television, her black straight hair, and green eyes remind me of my looks. However instead of bright emerald eyes, I have pale green eyes and slightly wavy black hair, I could definitely see the resemblance. I stare at her for a moment trying to find more resemblance of the features we share before I settle on her button nose which looks like mine.
I respond after a moment of thought " Is she the one who abandoned me as a toddler in the forest during a snowstorm?" I stare harder at her sith a small glare, daring her to speak up on her abandonment. She just stares straight into my eyes as if accepting that challenge before responding "Yes, I did leave you there because I couldn't take care of you and keep you safe. There were bad people coming after you, to hurt you or kill you because of what you were born as." I scoff and look even angrier before speaking again "Oh, really? Like who? And why didn't you call the police?"
Her face and posture seemed to stiffen up before she spoke up " The police can not help the supernatural crimes. There were werewolf rouges and even some clans of vampires trying to kill you because you are the princess of all the werewolves and not only that but you are the only one kingdom with a white wolf." I bursted out laughing at her, my sides hurting from how hard I was laughing, I looked at my adopted parents and say "Did you hear her, mom and dad, I am apparently not only a werewolf but a rare princess one." My dad and mom just stared at me, their faces sobering me up as my dad looks at me "Ava, honey, there was a part to the finding you story that we never told you as you never did it again in front of us. You see when we found you as a toddler, you weren't exactly human. We didn't tell you that we picked up a white puppy who when we got home turned into a human. We still loved you no matter what you were or who gave birth to you." I stared at him in shock, betrayal and hurt running through my body.
Elena looks straight into my eyes, as she starts narrowing her eyes in annoyances as she dropped down all four and grumbles "So, We have to do this the hard way." She startes groaning in pain as all her bones seem to start trying to dig their way out of her skin and breaking in multiple places, sounding like a twig snapping for multiple minutes. I stare shocked at her black and tan colored wolf that seems to tower over any normal size dog. She looks taller than any other natural canine. I gasps in shock before I pass out in shock.
I looked at the male driving the silver car that I had gotten in with Elena, he looked like he was Elena's age and had warm brown eyes with a mop of brown hair. Elena had said his name was Alex, and that he was my teacher for self defense and martial arts training. I rolled my eyes at that but agreed, besides Alex looked like he and I would be friends soon enough. I yawned and asked Elena "How long until we get to the pack?" Elena smiled and said " Well, it is really remote and in the middle of nowhere so about two hours." Alex was driving over all the holes but it slowly made me feel more tired until I fell asleep in the car, Nova quiet for once since she showed herself to me. I dreamed of a woman in white who was talking to me, saying "Ava, my beautiful child, I need to tell you that you carry a great gift as the white wolf. You will have one power that will reveal itself when you met your soulmate. The power could
I took my suitcase and put it downstairs next to the front door, and nervously started pacing around, unsure of what will happen after I shift. I was deep in thought when mom called out "Honey, I made some dinner, If you want anything." I smiled and walked happily towards the kitchen the smell of steak making my stomach growl more urgently. I looked around the kitchen and saw she had made my favorite steak dinner with steak marinade on the steak with cheesy mashed potatoes, and some green beans that smelled divine. I kissed my mom in the cheek and hugged her tightly, my voice sounding a little thick with emotions as I spoke "Thank you so much mom. I love you and dad very much." My dad moved in closer and hugged us both before they both said "We love you too so much kiddo." My chest tightened as I tried not to cry, I turned away and started to grab a plate for dinner, accidentally bumping into Elena on my grab for a plate. I start to say " I
(Real quick: I have not updated because I got sick and my finals are a week away so I have been studying instead of writing. But I am hopefully going to put up at least 2 to 3 chapters today and more tomorrow.- the author)I woke up to the wolf that was my birth mom standing above her, looking down at me, the green eyes flashing between green and a bright yellow. I slowly sat up and groaned while looking around me, the room slightly spinning, my head pounding from hitting the ground like a sack of potatoes, the smell of coffee making my mouth water. I scrambled to my feet, my headache going away as I get to my feet, I start calling out for my parents "Mom, Dad, where are you in the house?" My voice cracks at the end from my dry mouth, I started walking to the kitchen, the walls still slightly spinning as I walk there, the sound of the coffee machine making coffee with a small hiss makes my mouth water more.

17 years ago: Mike and his wife were driving home after coming back from Mike's mother's house after christmas day. Mike is driving really slowly due to the snow and icy conditions on the roads when his wife, Eve screams in horror "Mike stop the car now!" Mike slammed on the brakes worried, the car skidding to a stop, smoke rising up from the tires. "What is wrong? Are you feeling ok, Eve?" Mike asks worriedly while looking at Eve. She just points out into the snowstorm and replies with "I think there is an animal in the middle of the road, babe." Mike gets up and grabs the black flashlight from the backseat from his job as a janitor at the local high school. Mike slowly walks outside and walks in front of the beat up tan Nissan, the haunting forest ahead. A small trail can barely be seen where there are two towering trees above Mike. The silence
