Chapter 35~ Hurt

Isere hands got sweaty as she held unto the phone. She looked at a particular contact and the message it sent to Kelvin. She was unsure of her actions but she felt tempted to do what she first thought and that was to go through his contacts.

She scrolled through looking for weird names as TJ said earlier; with a pleased heart that she's found none, she sighed.

She was about to stop scrolling when a particular contact name made her heart ache.

Crazy cuz? She wondered, who would store a contact this way? She tapped on the contact, taking a deep breath to scroll down and read previous messages.

Crazy cuz: you can't do this to me! Please I need you! Please Segun, come and see me, please!😩😩😩

Isere heart raced in a not so friendly way as she read the message. Who could she be and why did he store her name as crazy cuz , and who gave her the right to call him Segun? Isere thought.

Kelvin: stay away from my boyfriend! He has a girlfriend and he doesn't do cheap women like you!

It was when she was done typing that she began to regret replying to the text. Kelvin walked into the room, he was surprised to see his phone on Isere's hand but he didn't mind.

"Did my phone ring?" Kelvin asked.

Isere said nothing but tossed his phone to him. She shrugged and went to lie on the bed, bothered by the fact he could be cheating on her.

It wasn't after some minutes, Kelvin phone beeped and he unlocked to read the message.

Crazy cuz: who are you and what do you mean as 'cheap woman?' FYI I am not his other lady!

Kelvin eyes widened when he scrolled through to see the messages. He turned to look at Isere but she was facing the other side of the bed.

"Kate," he called her name. She didn't answer him but she heard him.

"Kate did you reply to the text on my phone?" He asked her but she didn't say anything.

"Shit!" He muttered.

"Katherine!" He called her name now raising his voice.

"Can you stop barking?!" She spat out.

"Why did you go through my text?" He asked her. "Why did you even reply to them? Why did you write such stupid message too?" He asked her trying to keep his temper at bay.

"I don't think it's any problem if I tell girls off my boyfriend and besides you said so too," She replied still not moving.

Kelvin huffed before face palming himself. "You..." He trailed off, getting off the bed and dialing the number Isrere replied to.

"What are you doing?" Isere asked getting off from the bed.

Kelvin said nothing, he had an headache already and he didn't want to add more to it. "Are you trying to call her?" Isere asked moving closer to him.

Kelvin said nothing, she was driving him insane with her accusations. "You won't call her, you hear me!" She lamented, taking his phone from his hands in an haste resulting to the phone falling down flat on the floor.

She gasped, her heart raced when she saw his phone lieing on the floor, possibly with a broken screen now.

Kelvin looked at her in an unreadable expression. "What's wrong with you?" He asked her, his voice low as if finding the right word for her.

Isere said nothing. "You are so unpredictable, firstly, you replied to my text messages, something which was wrong because that's invading through my privacy and now you are acting like a nagging wife!" Kelvin raised his voice and Isere heart ached.

"Obviously, you'd shout at me because of the other woman right? How far does she go in pleasing you in bed?!" Isere asked on the brink of tears.

"You are sick!" Kelvin spat out. "Other woman?! Who is feeding you with such stupid stories?! Do you think I'm cheating on you?!" He asked her, he was confused.

"Aren't you?" She asked him folding her arms across her chest.

"Who told you that?" Kelvin asked through gritted teeth.

"TJ said all men has side chicks and they are never satisfied," she muttered.

Kelvin clicked his tongue, "Tj? That same dude I hate but tolerate because of you? And you believed it?" He asked her.

"Answer me! Why would I cheat on you with someone? And if all men have side chick, that's none of my business but that doesn't make you conclude without prove?!"

"Are you saying you have one?" She asked him.

"Are you listening to your self?! You need workings on your attitude and your relationship and in case you don't know you have a long way to go about it because you are making me go through more pain that I have already. Firstly you replied to my text and accused me like a nagging wife without prove, your attitude needs help and in case you don't know, you are hurting me!" Kelvin spat out.

"You don't have to insult me for your side chick you know? And TJ was right, if you didn't have one, you wouldn't be saying all this hurtful words to me!" Isere cried out, wiping the tears that rolled down her cheek with the back of her palm.

Kelvin sighed, he couldn't deal with her right now. "Talking to you is like trying to quench fire with fuel!" His words cut through deep into Iser s skin. He walked out of the room not turning to look at her and that made her cry more.

She didn't sleep, she couldn't sleep, she went to look for him in the other rooms but realised he left the house leaving her alone.

He was cheating on her and he probably was with his side chick, warming her bed, She thought.

Kelvin wouldn't have left without consoling her if it was before but now he didn't care because he had a replacement, She thought, wiping her tears.
