Chapter 12:   The Collins Corporations

Next day at the Collins Corporation's building.

The Collins - Multipurpose Corporation is situated in a vast area. With four major buildings astonished with black and blue glass. All the four buildings were linked with few other buildings by aerial arch brides all covered with reflective glasses.  

All these buildings work under only one corporation that the Collins. But they operate in different fields such as real estate, high-technology, international business, marketing, medicals, and even in fashion.  

No other corporation was situated around or near in that area.

It is just eight o'clock in the morning. But at the Collins Corporation, it is a very busy morning for all employees today. As the CEO has himself showed up very early in the morning. So everyone was hustling from here to there. 

Some are taking the files from one counter to the other, few are uploading their pending data, some are again checking there work to make sure that there will be no mistake or something else before it gets handed in their CEO's hand. Since he was already not in a good mood and they don't want to add fuel in the fire to burn themselves.

So basically everyone was trying to do their work more precisely because they are afraid of being fired. They also could not handle the wrath of their CEO when he ejects one. Because last week they already had witnessed one when the CEO has fired two managers along with their assistants and four cleanings and cafeteria staff.

Ryan's POV:

I was busy in my office reading and signing all the documents. Since, yesterday I had already wasted my time in that nasty Walter, cause of which many of the work was still pending. So these upcoming days will be going to be hectic. 

Meanwhile my office phone rings and I argh in annoyance before answering it. I don't like interference in between my work. But I have to take this as it is from my personal assistant, Zack.

I put on the speaker and just speak one word without any emotions, " Yes. "

Zack speaks from the other side informing me, " Sir, you have to visit in our new branch and also a meeting regarding that. "

" No, cancel that for today. " I nonchalantly replied.

" And Sir if it appropriate then we can fix your schedule for the upcoming week. " He asked.

I think for a while before replying to him, " No, I am not actually. But you can come after lunch. That would be appropriate. And yes, tell Mr. Duskin to send the project files of investment and transport as soon as possible..!! " With that, I ended the call without waiting for his reply. I can't go anywhere today as I already have to complete all these sh*tty stuff.

I loosen up my collar tie a bit, though the air conditioner temperature was below seventeen degrees still I am feeling hotness. Still, I resume my work.

At around 12:45 pm I completed my lunch and called the cleaning staff to take the leftover stuff. Soon after that, there was a knock on my office door.

I let that person in, knowing that it could only be Zack. With that, a well build a body of six feet tall, dressed up in all black from head to toe enters in. It was indeed him. He always manages to have a serious yet vigilant attitude in him. He takes his seat and we start our work. 

Firstly, we analyze the upcoming events, meetings, important audits, business trips, and in that accordance we arrange the schedule which is suitable for both businesses. 

Half an hour of arranging and rearranging the schedule lastly I finalized one. When I was rechecking it Zack reminded me, " Sir, you also have to attend the conference meeting for our new collaboration with N.D Corporation in another country. "

I shake head negatively while showing disapproval. He knows how I loathe those stupid collaboration trips. Seeing me like this Zack said in persuading manner, " But Sir... It is important for our own company. I know that our managers and lawyers will administer the agreement and all the paper works and we can even trust them on that without any doubt. But Sir... being the CEO you must attend the conference. It will also show our faith and interest in this collaboration. "

I smirk at his naivety while flipping the pen on my fingers and said, " You know Zack.... you know it very well what is vital for me to do... now. "

I continue, " All I have to do for now is just to catch that f*cking traitor who escaped last time because of the bl**dy investigator. Because if I'll not take any action now then there will be a danger to the business or on anything in the future. He possesses vital information that I can't afford to lose. I can't just leave all these matters as it is. "

Zack was not just my assistant for legal business but he also manages my illegal works. He knows about everything and sometimes even assisted me in both businesses precisely. 

After thinking for a few seconds he speaks, " I understand what you mean, Sir. But this meeting is vital for the legit business. And if this collaboration will succeed then we will have a trustworthy and non-corrupt ally in another country, so that we can rely on it in the future if things go wrong. You know it well Sir how important this is. And N. D Corporation is the only one who is ready to take risks by collaborating with us. " 

Flipping the pages I check my schedule once again without looking at Zack. So while not getting any response he again continues his persuasion. 

 " And it will take very few days and if you don't feel right then you can come back to the very first place after just attending the conference meeting. And if the deal is done then there is no need for you to stay there for after-celebration or for any other events. As long as you wish too. " With these, he completed his little speech. 

Yes, he has a correct point. That this meeting is actually vital as I was in a need for a non-corrupt and a trustworthy ally. 

After thinking about it, I look up towards him and nodded saying, " Okay then make the required arrangements for the departure and inform me a day before so that I don't forget about it. And also send me the agreement papers and their corporation's documents beforehand. "

After giving a few more orders I dismissed him. Zack is one of the trustworthy men I ever have. He is like my older brother. I can trust him. 

Though it's very hard to find or to have trustworthy men in my dark world. That is why I change my staff at a certain period of time. Or whenever I find something fishy. I had kept only a very few staff as permanent.

' Back to work. ' My subconscious mind alerted me. As there are loads and loads of piled files waiting for me before the end of the day.
