Chapter 1:   The Lost

Jennifer Jones POV:

(Female protagonist.) 

Bang...!!!

" NO..." I screamed and immediately wake up from my sleep. No. Not again. Oh, God... One day these nightmares will take my life away.

So many years have passed of that accident but still, I can't forget it. They keep hindering me over and over. But how can I even forget it when it takes away all of my happiness in just a blink of my eye. Yes !!! All my happiness.

My small family. Both of my parents. My everything. I had lost my parents in a car accident when I was a kid. 

***** Jennifer's childhood FLASHBACK *****

It was Thursday afternoon l was standing on the pavement outside my school's premises. It was my birthday and my parents were coming to pick me up because we were going out for lunch together.

And like all other children, I was super excited because we were going out together. Though it was just lunch I had too deeply urge for it as recently my mother and father had been very busy with their works. So whenever our small family gathers it means a lot to me.

They do try their best to spend their time with me, especially on weekends. But that's not enough for me. I want more. 

Amm... I love them so much that I can't live without them for so long. I miss them so so much. 

So today, as a gift I'll demand for their time. Yes..!! their time. So that they can spend more time with me. Haahh!!! That will be great. And I know they won't and can't deny to this little wish of mine.

Oh, here they come..! 

As I watched our car arrives, my father waves his hand towards me from the car. Telling me to wait for him. And he'll come to get me. 

But all of a sudden something happens... something very vicarious happens. O god..! No. That... That can't be true... That can't be. 

''....D...D..AD.. ...M...O..M "

I screamed from the top of my lungs. Because of what I saw next was terribly unexpected for me.

I see the car gets crash with a big truck from behind. The thrust was so powerful that it makes their car flips twice in the air and then falls on the road downward. Due to that, the car's all glasses broke it makes a big banging sound.

BANG...!!

I saw the whole accident right through my naked eyes, as I was standing on the other side of the road. Witnessing this whole scene happening in front of me.

Roadside - my father happy face - Our Car - Truck - Bang - Black.

All these things kept is circulating in my mind and suddenly darkness surrounds me, I lost my consciousness and fall on the pavement.

Dark... complete Darkness. ..all I can register was darkness. After hardly getting my senses back, I gradually open my eyes which fell to heavy to even open. 

However, I still try to open it with all strength left in me. For some nanoseconds, the scenario was a blur to me. The first thing that came to my mind was where am I ?? Wait.... what I am doing here ?? And the second thing - Where is MOM and DAD??..?. Where... Where are they ???

I try to clear my vision by smudging my eyes using my fingers. I smudge my eye a few times, after some fractions of time, I saw      ...my uncle..... Uncle Benjamin..!! Wait what is he doing here???

Uncle Ben was standing beside the hospital bed on which I am lying. When he noticed that I am awake he turns around and gives me a pathetic smile and then turns to the doctor who is checking some reports, I guess. I try to open my mouth to speak but to no avail. But the worst thing is that I was not able to figure out what was happening.

Though I have some foreign feeling raising in me. It's telling me that am I lost something... Or might be everything..!?

But what... What in particular..??? 

And why uncle Benjamin is here..?? Where are my parents..?? Where are they??
