Chapter 5:   My Inner Devil

Ryan Collins POV :

( Male protagonist.)

A few days back I shot one of my investigators without even giving him a chance to elucidate.

It has been my habit not to listen to people. I never think before killing someone. However, I can't do anything about this thing.

Because in my world.....you don't get a second chance to think or kill. Action should be taken at that moment. So you have to be very considerate. Whether your decision is right or not. You don't have any choice to choose because who knows in the next second it might be you, who would turn into a corpse. Anything can happen.

Just like what happened with my father. He was assassinated by one of his rivals. And about the mother. Actually, I didn't know her. Because she had died within three or four months after my birth.

So basically I never saw her or able to know her. Just because my father who was always busy in his work never able to complete that missing part of her.

So ' parenting ' and ' family love ' both words were out of my dictionary and legacy. Though I was gifted with lots of money, properties, and precious things but was never loved. Yeah!!! I had a grandfather who was busy making a man from a young boy. He was the only one left by my side.

Thus, after my father's death, at a very young age, I was handling legit business as well as illegitimate business. These responsibilities made me impassive, arrogant, and atrocious. 

I was not like these before. But doing stuff which includes murder, extortion, corruption of public officials, gambling, loan sharking, infiltration of legitimate businesses, tax fraud schemes and stock manipulation, and whatnot. You name it and I had been doing it. 

As I told earlier, you have no choice but to adapt yourself according to the circumstances. However, all these things made me a hoodlum. 

Being the head of the mafia it is indeed very hard to manage the illegitimate and legit business. But under my grandfather's guidance and with the help of my men I was able to tackle all perplexities and thwarted those motherf*ckers, who tried to lay an eye on me and my business. Now my both businesses are stable. Because I have understood how to turn the tables. 

I have consolidated my business. It is unfaltering but while dealing with the demons, I didn't realize that I have also become a demon-like them. It wasn't me. But now I have become a beast who is satisfied seeing blood shades and people's pleadings.

Whenever I get angry or I get stressed then the demon inside me comes out conquering my own self. I do not know how to control myself so that I don't harm people. Sometimes it is indeed very hard for my men or guards to stop me doing something which I'll regret later. 

Yes, it's true that I enjoy hurting and killing people. I like to hear those frightening screams and useless pleading, which they make to let them leave. 

I like to anguish them. Then slowly-slowly I torture them by cutting their body parts step by step until I am not satisfied. 

Of course, all this stuff made me irrational and ruthless to my kinsfolk. They started to stay distant from me. But besides all these, it better for them as well as for me. Because in this world you should not have any weak points. Even I don't want any.

Somehow I am not good at handling relationships. I just like to order people and when they disobey me then they are done...!!

That's the reason why all my uncles and aunts remain distant and don't even try to contact me.

I have not been able to handle the relationships that God has already given me, so how can I make new relationships and manage them?

So at the age of twenty-nine, I realized that relationships were not for me. Actually, due to tough training and practices, I have adapted a very impassive nature. I don't have feelings for anyone in particular. Not even for any specific woman.

Yeah!!!! 

Of course, women were like clothes to me. I change them on like a daily basis or according to my needs and desires. That is why I prefer hookers. No emotions were attached....so no more drama. 

I'm not being narcissistic. Neither I am promiscuous. It's just one of the benefits you got being the boss. Pick any one as you like.
