CHAPTER 11

"I don't know, Sarah. Don't do that, I'll misunderstand Sean. Besides, since the beginning I was in a class with him, he never greeted anyone in the class. The beautiful and sexy like Daisy he doesn't even look at. I'm not pretty. "

Upon entering the classroom, Sarah already saw Lucas sitting seriously on his chair. Looking straight at him was meaningful.

Until Sarah got to the bench and sat down, Lucas didn't budge.

"I thought you weren't going to school anymore out of fear?" Lucas sneered from behind Sarah's bench.

"Your imagination is too high," Sarah replied at Lucas' taunt without looking back.

"Anyway, this is Mrs. Smith's assignment. You have to collect it the day after tomorrow." Lucas handed a sheet of paper to Sarah.

Sarah turned her body toward Lucas, furrowing her brows.

"Why didn't Jim give it to me?"

"It was the class president who left it to me yesterday when you weren't in. If you want to know why just ask him by yourself."

Sarah snorted in disgust.

Lucas glanced around for a moment. When he felt safe, he leaned toward Sarah. Then whispered in Sarah's ear who was reading the sheet of paper earlier.

"I want a rematch. This time, the stakes are more challenging than ever," Lucas whispered.

Home from school.

Sarah was still tidying the books into the bag when Lucas passed her desk. Sarah was confused when Lucas placed a piece of paper on Sarah's desk. Lucas left, having looked so deeply at Sarah before.

Slowly Sarah grabbed the small paper and then read it.

* Tonight, 10pm. In the usual place *

When Sarah was seriously reading a memo from Lucas, suddenly she was startled by someone. Joshua of course.

"Hi, Sarah." Sarah hurriedly crumpled the paper from Lucas.

"What is wrong?" Sarah asked lazily. 

"Mrs. Smith's job, remember? You and I are in a group."

Sarah reread the assignment paper she had received from Lucas. There is his name as well as Joshua's on the assignment sheet.

'Shit' Sarah thought.

"So when do we do it and where? If possible as soon as possible because the day after tomorrow must be collected." Joshua's face was so happy to be in a group with Sarah.

"Tomorrow."

"Where? Not at my house. My house is dirty and small. You won't like Sarah. We'd better do it in your apartment. Calm down, I won't mess around, considering your brother is there." Joshua grinned. Showing a row of white and neat teeth.

"In my house."

Joshua is in Sarah's apartment. Doing group assignments in the family room. A while ago, they sat across from the short table between them. But Joshua wouldn't be his name if he didn't piss Sarah off. Joshua was even busy looking through Sarah's house, which he judged to be so comfortable.

Embarrassed by Joshua's behavior, Sarah finally rebuked him.

"Are you here to do an assignment or just to look inside my apartment?" Sarah asked lazily.

Joshua responded to Sarah's annoyance with only a stupid grin. He returned to sit in front of Sarah. Joshua pretended to read a book when Sarah was already busy with her notebook again. Suddenly an idea popped into Joshua's head, the blonde handsome but stiff.

"Sarah, I wanted to take you to see a movie. Do you want it?"

Joshua was so hopeful, Sarah would accept his invitation this time.

Annoyed by Joshua's invitation, Sarah closed her notebook in annoyance. Look Joshua straight in the eye, sharp.

"Ok. Ok." Joshua was a little afraid to see Sarah's burning eyes. "If you can't, that's okay. Next time I can still take you." Joshua gave a surrender gesture. He won't bother Sarah again.

Snorting, Sarah finally resumed her work. Sarah was so annoyed why she could be in a group with Joshua, who is known as a trouble maker. How could Mrs. Smith put Joshua's name in her group? Alena would be much better than this one bitch.

Finally, after Sarah's long hours working alone, their job is done too. With Joshua as a corrector, even though he doesn't do much of his job. You could say Sarah's work was perfect for a senior high school student.

"Finally, it's finished. The task this time is quite tiring. Eight pages are full of writing. Mrs. Smith is a teacher who hasn't the heart for her students," Joshua complained as he stretched his body which could be considered quite athletic. Unfortunately, Josh never showed it off to the girls who were always thirsty with the abs of handsome boys. Josh tends to cover it up with his black hoodie. If Josh had just taken a quick look away from Sarah, there would probably be lots of female students lining up to be his girlfriends. However, that is only a presupposition. Josh had liked Sarah ever since they met for the first time. Even Josh is willing to do anything for Sarah. It's just that all of that means nothing to Sarah, who never even looks at Josh. Even if it's only for a moment.

"Don't be kidding, Josh. You just double-checked my work, and then there are no additions or subtractions that are not quite right. How can you be tired?" Sarah sneered at Joshua.

"Hey, make no mistake. Even reading I have to be extra focused because your writing is so many and small. If it's a little wrong, I'll be blamed again." Joshua defended himself.

"It's up to you, Josh." Sarah got up from her seat. Tidying up his notebook then going from there to her room. Joshua too. After the books were neat, Josh immediately headed for the kitchen.
