2020-10-23 09:25:26Monica sat in the garden with Destiny. She was playing with her toys on the table as they waited for Crystal to finish her meeting. Monica had been Destiny's guardian for three years now and she did it with pride and honor. Destiny sat there and heard Crystal approach. She jumped down and ran to her mother.
"Mommy!"
"Destiny!"
"Luna, how was your meeting?"
"Eventful. Plans to create and work through a universal peace treaty looks good. The Luna's are on board. I just hope all the alphas are too."
"I'm sure they will be, Luna. If other Luna's are anything like you, they will be on board."
"Thank you, Monica. We are meeting Killian for lunch so if you'd like to take time to get some rest or do something for you, you are more than welcome to."
"Thank you, Luna."
Crystal smiled and took Destiny by the hand. They walked into town and met Killian at the cafe. Destiny ran right up to him when she saw him.
"Daddy!"
"There's my princess."
He kissed her head and smiled at Crystal as she walked up to him.
"And there's my queen."
She smiled and kissed him when she got to him. Life had been so content these past couple of years. After Danielle's death, Andrew had been silent. He found out that not only did an omega kill her but that the omega got promoted to a guardian. Crystal was glad of the decision she made and Monica was happy with it as well.
Crystal had gotten in touch with other lunas to work out things together that the alphas need help with. Kellie and Sam still came around and Kellie was now expecting. Brandy was too and she worried her baby would have her gift. Last year, a woman that the Black Hearts Pack exiled showed up on their borders. Because she was banished by Black Heart, Killian wanted to know the reason why. As they walked to his office, the reason why didn't really matter. Aaron took one look at her and found his mate. Jessica Caldwell was now the Delta female and she became fast friends with Crystal. Brandy, Jesica, and Crystal often met up to discuss plans.
Jessica was sitting in the library when Brandy walked in. She smiled at her and stood to help her. She was expecting and was due in three months. The girls sat and talked about a few things. They wanted to throw a surprise party for Crystal. It was her birthday next week and she had done so much in the few years she had been here. She had created peace between packs, set up a daycare and nursey, reformed the school and training yards. She helped Killian with things he didn't know needed to be helped. She was remodeling the packhouse and fortifying the basement. Part of it would be a shelter for the pack and another part would be where the new cells would be built. Crystal had plans made out and things in place. They laughed at the thought that everyone went through Killian about her plans since he reimagined the pack when he became alpha. Eventually, he just said what she wanted, she got. He was fine with every decision. She smiled widely at him that day. Jessica said she recalled the look on her face and remembered how Crystal grew up. You could tell all the love between them and she was happy she was a part of this pack. As they laughed about the memories shared with their friend, Aaron walked in.
"Did I miss a joke?"
"No. We were talking about how Crystal first made all the decisions and Killian's response."
"Yeah. That is his queen. She's our Luna, but he treats her like a queen that needs to be cared for."
"She's the perfect Luna."
"She is."
As they talked, Crystal herself walked in with a stack of books so high, she didn't see the others. Aaron saw her and went to take the books from her.
"Luna! You know if Alpha Killian saw you, he'd be furious."
"I know, but what he doesn't know what hurt him."
"Luna?"
"What's with all the books anyway, Luna?"
"Jess, if you call me by my formal name again, I'll throw one at you."
"I'm sorry, Crystal. I hear Aaron do it and I forget."
"I do it because Killian would have my head if he found out I called her by her name."
"I don't see him here."
"Luna, you know I can't."
"I know. I'm messing with you."
Aaron took the books and set them on the table. Brandy and Jessica got up and went to look at the books. Brandy looked up at her when she realized what it was.
"Why these books on cell fortification."
"I want something Andrew can't disappear from."
"Crystal?"
"I know, but I need to be sure."
Aaron left them to talk and went to find Killian. He walked to his office and knocked. Once he heard Killian, he walked in.
"Alpha, I'm sorry to interrupt."
"It's alright, Aaron. What is it?"
"It's the Luna."
"Is she alright?"
"I'm worried. She just walked into the library carrying a stack of books on cell reinforcement. She said it's for Andrew."
"I told her to talk to me first."
"Is there something we should know, alpha?"
"She found out yesterday that she's pregnant again. She thinks it'll be a boy this time and if it is, Andrew will try anything. She's just worried."
"Has she been like that all night?"
"She has. She wouldn't sleep. She was excited when we found out but then she grew fearful."
Aaron texted Jessica and told her what was wrong and she and Brandy tried to calm her fears. Nothing helped; she just knew something would happen.
Andrew sat in his office and an omega was entertaining him as he thought of a way to get his sister back. He needed to make her pay and he would make sure that her mate would see her end. His mother came in and saw what was happening under his desk while he was working and scoffed.
"Really, Drew?"
"Deal with it and say what you want, or you can finish in her place."
"I heard a rumor that she is pregnant again."
"The bitch is with child again. It'll be a boy this time and he'll be mine."
"Drew, things are different now. They have done things over there and made peace with other packs. It'll be impossible."
"I'll deal with that. You can go now."
She dipped her head and left. She couldn't take it anymore. She knew she couldn't stop him, and she wouldn't try.
Andrew was seething and needed to get her back. He wanted his sister, and he was going to kill her. He knew he had to find a way in and now that the bitch was pregnant again, he would keep her until she had the baby and then end her life. He had to get Killian out of the way first.

Six months went by faster than Destiny ever remembered as she and Tim talked non-stop since they found out. They sneaked into the tunnels to see each other but even as impulsive as they both were, they were always mindful of Killian's rule. Since the treaty of the packs was signed, it was agreed that once a year, the packs would come together for one grand ball to honor the treaty. There was an old castle up in the mountains that was dedicated for the event. The old couple who lived there were more than willing and happy to host such an event. They were honored their home was chosen and thought it ridiculous that omegas were given to them to help them maintain the castle. The omegas were happy to help and loved living with them.
