16.Killian's Pride

Crystal sat in her office going through plans. She currently had the basement plans in her hand and was making a few marks on the blueprints. Aaron came in with one of the builders and walked over to her. They sat in the chairs in front of her desk and waited for her to finish marking a few things and adding a not or two. She finally noticed hem sitting there and handed the plans over.

“Here you go, Dan. If you have any questions or concerns, let me know.”

“Of course, Luna.”’

Dan dipped his head and walked out with the plans. Next she picked up the plans for an outside area. Aaron just sat there and watched her brow furrow over the plans.

“Problems?”

“Yeah. I didn’t make this note and this is not Killian’s handwriting.”

“May I?”

She handed the plans over and Aaron studied them. Aaron was the Delta and was primarily the one who helped her. He scanned the plans and the hand writing and had a puzzled look on his face.

“Who has access to these plans?”

“Just me and Killian right now. They stay here in my office.”

“Then someone broke in here. We need to scan the office and move you to another location.”

“I’ll call Killian.”

Aaron gathered all the plans and the important paperwork she would need. Aaron called Jessica to help and to move everything. Crystal was on the phone with Killian and told him everything.

In two hours, Killian had guards aat her office and had her things moved to his building in town. Crystal looked over everything again and noticed more note marks that she didn't make and Killian confirmed it wasn't him. In a moment of panic, she took of for the cells. Dan had the plans in his hand and had a curious look on his face when he saw her.

"Ah, Luna, I was just about to call you."

"For?"

"This note mark here, what is it?"

She took it and realized with horrid fear that Andrew knew what she was planning. She called Killian and told him her fear. He decided to move the prison to a new location and look over the plans and over see the building himself. Crystal was happy with this and relaxed a little as she now had to review all her paperwork and see what else had been tampered with. She knew the new office would take a day or two so she brought the papers home. She sat in the bedroom and worked tirelessly. Monica came in with Destiny and asked her if she needed help.

"Luna, need help?"

"Not with this. It would be a huge help if you could keep Destiny for a bit."

"Of course. I'll keep her as long as you need me to."

"Thank you, Monica."

She nodded her head and Destiny hugged her mom and they left to go play. Crystal was scanning over the other papers when Killian came in. He scooped up all the papers and laid her lap. She had a look of shock, at first, towards Killian and then she smiled and began to rub his head.

"You okay?"

"I'm alright. I know you aren't. You are stressed and i think we just need this time together."

"Yeah. I miss this closeness."

"Me too."

They laid there for an hour or so just enjoying each other's company. She ended up laying on him while he just held her. She felt relaxed and carefree and wished it didn't end. They could hear their phones going off and others trying to mind-link. Crystal knew it wasn't Monica and ignored everyone. Killian did the same as he just held her. After ten minutes, Jake bursted through the door.

"Alpha, I really am sorry. We have an emergency."

"Life threatening?"

Jake looked on at them as they didn't even bother to raise up off the bed to look at him. He looked between them and shook his head.

"Yes, Alpha. Luna, please forgive me. I really need him."

"Go ahead, Killian. Just come back."

"You know I will."

She watched Killian leave with Jake and sighed heavily. She got up and tsrated the shower. She let the hot water run over her and relax her further. She got out and dressed in shorts and one of his hoodies and placed the papers on the small table in front of the couch. Jessica came up after getting a text from Crsyatl to bring some hot tea up. Most times, it was omegas who did that but Kessica knew how to make it; green tea with mint and honey. Jessica set it down on the side table and sat down next to her.

"Anything I can do to help?"

"No. It's just going through them and seeing what else was messed with."

"I'm sorry, Luna. I know all this doesn't help your already anxious mind."

"It's okay. Could you make sure Destiny eats something."

"Of course, Crystal. Is she still with Monica?"

"Yes,"

"Okay. I'll go grab her."

"Thank you."

Jessica left her friend and hoped this wasn't too much on her and the baby. She decided something and hoped Crystal didn't get mad. She pulled out her phone and made a call.

"Hello?"

"Dr. Browning? It's Jessica."

"How can I help you, Delta?"

"Have you heard what has been going on?"

"Yes. It's awful and I just hope the Luna is okay."

"Me too. That's why I'm calling. Because of the office break in, she is in her room. Would you make a house call and just check in on her."

"Of course, Delta. I can be there in about an hour when I'm finished here."

"Perfect. Thank you, Dr. Browning."

After meeting with the doctor, Crystal took it easy for the next few months. She entrusted Jessica and Brandy with the plans. Monica over saw what she couldn't and she relaxed. She worked in her new office alongside Killian. They had found out just last week that they were indeed expecting a boy. Killian named their daughter but he wanted to name their son; Alexander Caleb Barker. He would be his future alpha and his pride. He made sure she would take it easy and every night, after spending time with Destiny, they spent time together. They spent time either having sex or just laying with each other. It was time they needed and both were more relaxed in light of everything.

The day Alex was born, Crystal was as relaxed as possible. She had no worries that were pressing. Alex was born at 12:45:10 at 8 pounds and 5 ounces. Killian saw him in a different light as he looked just like his mother. He knew they might be in trouble as he thought of his kids future. He knew now that Alex was here, Andrew would try something again and this time he would be ready. Andrew would not touch his family and lay down his life first. His family would be safe. His son would be an alpha his mother would be proud of and a man his future mate would thank the Moon Goddess for. 

Destiny and Alex would never want for anything and would never grow up like he or Crystal did. As he watched Destiny meet her brother, he vowed to himself and Crystal that they would safe and grow up unharmed and not knowing first hand of the evil of this world. Crystal nodded her head from across the room and held onto her children and looked at Killian with love and pride.
